  1. This is exactly what is holding this franchise back. How in holy hell could the playoffs not be a goal for a team that has the longest drought in the NHLand year 2 of JBotts-Housley. That mentality of “ playoffs was not the goal” is a standard that unless you tanking... has got to go.
  2. See, in your previous posts you talk about the losing culture and why would people want to stay here. I agree with that. That why I was so all in on making changes early January when that losing mentality could have changed. Duchene or Stone maybe makes a difference you bring them in January. You do that, maybe Skinner is signed by now. Maybe those trades with a new coach gets them in 8th... and still playing. Columbus GM showed some stones, looked what happened. As @K-9 mentioned, you seemed to have changed from patient to urgency. You say the culture and losing needs to change, but you were not willing to do that during the season when it was readily apparent the whole the whole season was circling the drain. Free agent money would would still be there BTW. I would take a playoff appearance and Skinner signed right now with only one first rounder. That would have shown urgency, and stones , and some semblance of understanding the situation here. And maybe changed some of the “ it’s okay to keep losing, we are building “ that seems to have kept this franchise from moving forward.
  3. Consistently last year you said the Sabres had a developing roster and the playoffs should not have been the goal, and if you could give advise to JBotts was tonstay the course on his “ plan” and build from within. I was advocating trades, firings , anything to give that roster and team a shot in the arse and stop the freaking losing/ losing atmosphere that surrounds this team. Now, you say the GM has to act with urgency..... he had to act with urgency when he was given a gift 10 game win streak and he sat on his ass and you agreed with it. Trades me ya giving something of value up( unless you St. Louis or any team that trades with Chiarelli). He should have shown the same urgency you desire now back in January. Maybe the losing culture could have been shifted by now
  4. WHAT!!!!!!!!!Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!! All last year when @K-9 were all in on firing Housley from Mid December on as we were letting a shot at the playoffs slip, and for the love of God we needed to win and get that good feeling back, go all in for the playoffs to change this freaking team..all we heard from you was .."patience". PLayoffs and winning did not matter, development mattered. What has changed?
  5. I seem to remember some pick being made remotely last year ... can’t quite remember who, but it was done
  6. He may be the best I have ever seen
  7. Hey @Deranged Rhino, i am having trouble replying to your post, so will do my best with questions to your major points 1) where is the bolded proven and in testimony or somewhere in the public record, not conjecture, not saying Fusion GPS worked for Clinton, NV was a clients of GPS, ipso facto that means NV was working for Clinton 2) I am not quite sure I follow the point here. I understand the links, not quite about the relevance of the White House group tour of 6 people, and where it points out it was an oval office meeting? I get the GPS and dossier connection, I agree that the opening of the investigation based strictly on that was bad..but i am missing the fact based connection here. 3 Again, I can understand the speculation here, but where is it a proven fact that Clinton met with Russians( if that is what you are implying) and that she paid Russians for dirt
  8. There was no cross-check to the face, and it was not hefty..it was to his chest, threw him off balance and into Statsny. Stasney does nothing wrong, he is trying to get to his man at the point. The result was awful, but that does not make it a major penalty. Again, watch the refs on the play..not one inch does an arm move when the check occurred, never went up as play continued..only reason play stopped was a lineman realized Pavelski was out cold and called for time..refs then get together and say" ( I am guessing) that looks bad, did you see it? Nope Did you? Nope Well, lit looks really bad.. , lets call this major and intent to injure cause he is knocked out cold.
  9. goalie interference changes not by the year, or by the game, but by the period. Calls like last night are made cause the result looks bad., and don't getting me started on Department Of PLayer Safety
  10. i did not see that as a cheap shot at all..unfortunate result, but the little cross check that started the whole thing happens after 50% of the faceoffs in the playoffs and is never called. Then to call it a major and intent to injure is awful, strictly a result of Pavelski being knocked out and bleeding due to the awkward fall. Just an awful call, but that's what ya sign up for when you are a fan of a league that makes it up as they go along
  11. Was in there Sunday night before the Pats game last year..gave me a warm fuzzy feeling!!! I am pretty sure nothing has changed in that joint since i started going there in 81 maybe???
  12. I think their fan base is great..no knock on them at all. But you are not really an NHL fan base team till you have had a loss like that one ..
  13. i just finished watching the game..that call was not even close to a major..Typical NHL penalizing the result, not the actual play. Play had continued and there was no arm in the air until the trainer came out on the ice..... not sure if this is sarcastic, but Fleury looked washed up..not exactly sure of round, but the Penguins gave Vegas at least a 2nd, maybe even a first, to take Fleury off their hands Man, Vegas has gone through in 2 years what takes most fan bases 25 years to gp through. That highest of highs last year, now a gut-wrenching loss on a questionable call that they will debate till they win a Cup..as we do with No Goal and Throw Forward
  14. Game over?
  15. So to be clear, you deny Trump senior changed his story on the Trump Tower meeting. Is that correct? @Deranged Rhino, too many beers watching the game, text too small for my old eyes...morning argument in order!!!!
  16. Dude, are you really denying Trump Senior changed his story on the Trump Tower meeting? @Deranged Rhino, @KD in CA am I nuts here?
  17. Just sos ya know @Deranged Rhino, think my chrome book had lots of issues with response and length, hope it makes sense. For some reason, i cannot edit out duplicative To catch a Pedo thing..apologies in advance That stop denying what is in the public record as fact...one cannot discuss ideas when someone just flat out denies what is in the public record. Have more respect for the people on here who oppose your views, as i do yours
  18. your boy @3rdnlng denies that took place...cant talk to people who just cannot accept the facts
  19. It's not a belief, it's a fact the meeting was set up by Fusion GPS on behalf of the Clinton campaign. It's a fact NV was only allowed into the country thanks to the Obama State Department intervening on her behalf at the eleventh hour. ( show me definitive evidence of this, not speculation, not linking dtaes, definitive evidence) Those are facts backed by evidence, not speculations. (Show me) * NV has a history with Fusion GPS which mueller omitted. * NV met with Glenn Simpson immediately before and after the meeting. * Fusion GPS had been hired weeks before by the Clinton campaign to run an informational operation agains the Trump campaign. Those are not speculations. That's not my opinion, that's the law. Unless you sell me coke in that meeting, there's no crime committed. You'd not be able to make a case unless a purchase was made. Going to the meet isn't a crime. Arranging the meet isn't a crime. *Narco laws might be different - I don't know that law cold but I'm trying to keep it apples to apples. Okay, maybe a bad analogy...how bout this guy locking up pedo's..no teenagers present..intent is what matterd It's not a belief, it's a fact the meeting was set up by Fusion GPS on behalf of the Clinton campaign. It's a fact NV was only allowed into the country thanks to the Obama State Department intervening on her behalf at the eleventh hour. ( please show me definitive proof of this..not links to links to links...no conspiracy theories, actual proof state intervened on her behalf for her to attend this meeting) Those are facts backed by evidence, not speculations. ( we shall see by above..just cause you say so so, or your sources say so, does not make it fact) * NV has a history with Fusion GPS which mueller omitted. * NV met with Glenn Simpson immediately before and after the meeting. * Fusion GPS had been hired weeks before by the Clinton campaign to run an informational operation agains the Trump campaign. Those are not speculations. See above That's not my opinion, that's the law. Same here. Taking the meeting isn't a criminal or a crime. Taking information illegally obtained MIGHT be, but it didn't happen so it's moot. Maybe really bad analogy, but how bout how many guys this dude put away with no child present I never said I didn't see a problem with it. I said it's not a crime, and it's not.( Agree) Meetings like that one are done all the time by every campaign.( dont agree, show or point me to another campaign that worked with Russia) You take the meeting, and see what they have - if only to report bad actors to the authorities if it turns out it is something nefarious. This was nefarious - just not in the way the mueller report wants you to think. It's nefarious because NV wasn't there on behalf of Putin but on behalf of fusion GPS and the Clinton campaign. There were crimes committed here.( prove this beyond a reasonable doubt, as you want the flip side to be) Just not by Trump Jr. I wonder if your moral outrage stretches enough to be outraged over the fact the Clinton campaign and Obama administration were actually paying Russian intelligence assets to creat fake dirt on their political opposition at the very same time this meeting took place. Doesn't that put them both "in debt" to a foreign government? Isn't that a worse crime - considering how deceitful they were with the public about the realities of that meeting and the dossier? ( any involvement with a foreign government that can compromise our political leaders is awful, and should be snuffed out and the public should know,,agreed.) They lied about this for two years, perpetrating fraud on the public and FISC in the process. Dividing the country in the process purely for CYA reasons.
  20. just stop...so silly..no one denies he changed his story..yall lose all credibility when you do. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-and-his-attorney-change-story-on-trump-tower-meeting
  21. @Deranged Rhino, I am on phone and too long too respond, will do so this evening.
  22. oh stop...you know damn well what the lie was ...when does that man not lie...
