hmm, Carolina is the finals with basically a new coach and some tweaks..NYI lost their best player, failed to make playoffs last year..and won a round with a new coach. St Loius was in last place when they fired their coach..and are still playing with the new one. Stars did not make playoffs last year and still playing I agree and understand that no coach is a panacea, but I think in this sport and with the advent of player usage and advanced analytics, ..and in a s[ort where i hate to say but attitude matters a lot too, i think a coach is much more important than you do... I also think they lose their message faster in this sport than any other...... I truly dont hink the Sabres are as far off talent wise you... I think a coaching change last year in early January would have kept them in the playoff race.

just gunna put this here and you ake it for what it is worth. One of the best handicappers I have ever know is resident at the OTB I frequent in Richmond, and he was on fire at Gulfstream yesterday. Now he bets way different than me, can't use a lot of he does...but he did put me onto the Oaks Exacta for a cool $950 for $2bet yesterday!!! Now he readily admits the Derby is a crap shoot and anything can happen, but he likes the 3,6,19. EDIT..he gave me these after the Oaks, and after maybe I had had a few celebratory beverages...have no clue if he handicapped these for a wet track..? and you could not pay me to go close to an OTB today....people think the Bills tailgates are rough..go to an OTB on Derby day and some dolt is trying to figure out how to make his $2 Win bet on the Derby whilst some regular is steaming behind him as he just missed his $45 exacta that he was gunna pound for $50!!! Yea, that has been a strange, strange story out there. I love the ponies, have been betting them since the late 70s with paper route money..never remember seeing anything like what has been happening at Santa Anita. I know I am an old fugger, but i think one of the contributing factors to more horses breaking down in training, especially in So Cal, is the focus on "speed" in the breeding, and the increased use of drugs across the whole of the sport. 30 years ago, a decent horse old might run every other week for most of their 3 and 4-year-old seasons..maybe 12-16 races per year. Prolly put in 8 as a two-year-old. Now if a horse race once a month it is considered a heavy workload..maybe 5 or 6 races in a year..maybe 2 as a two year old. They are just not as sturdy as they once were. Having said that..I have followed zero prep races this year..numbers it be!!!

@leh-nerd skin-erd, we actually will agree on jobs and the economy. Ya can't argue the economy is not great right now...it is. One can argue the reasons, growing deficits, but not the actual numbers. In terms of the deep state..I will put it this way. Before I started coming regularly to this board I would have said "a bunch of hooey all this stuff about the investigation was started illegally" etc. But @Deranged Rhino has flipped me on that, and I do believe there were abuses there. And if there were, we need to know about them so they do not happen again, no matter who is elected. Having said that, I do not believe the vast majority of the American voting public believes that to be the case as of right nowt.That may change. And I would not call it "deep state" i would call it for what it was..corrupt politicians/law enforcement.

All I can tell you is they laid out the numbers at the fan advisory meeting last summer, and the decrease was dramatic. Having said that, it was only based in stadium I believe, not in the lots. the issue is not what is motivation was, the issue is that it appears to be abundantly clear he lied to Congress on either 04/09, or 05/01. If you want to claim he thought that letter that was sent on the 27th was sent by Mueller, and that he did not know what members of his Mueallrs team thought, then that is a direct contradiction to 05/01 when he said be believed someone on Muellars team wrote the letter. I mean it is the record..i just do not understand how it can be disputed. Now, it may be a little white lie, and I know that the environment Trump has legitimized is little white lies don't matter..but under oath, to the Congress..some may see that as a big deal. And to clear, that is the "lie" Pelosi is going to war on. Claim it silly, claim it just a small footnote to the larger issue( i think that way BTW)..but it is accurate he lied under oath.
