I don’t know. Ask a Canadian when was the last time they took Buckleys?
-
What?
-
Then you could have just used Polis. Funny how your mind works.
-
So does Jared Polis. Why did you exclude him?
-
Yup, by shutting down the entire country you're delaying the time frame to herd immunity, and adding more economic calamity. The areas outside the 4-5 hot zones in the US need to open up ASAP
-
Go ahead Mr Editor. Rewrite it for clarity.
-
It was clear for everyone else, but I remember that engineers don’t like English.
-
One would figure an engineer could manage a triple negative. Guess not.

The NYT being NYT. Nowhere in the article do they mention that NY EMT were told not to bring in patients who can't be revived in the field. That's the main reason why the cases are down in NYC. In other areas, people were scared off to go to the ER. There really needs to be a bifurcated approach between NYC metro and the rest of the country.

She was likely in the prep sessions where some of the innovative treatments were discussed. But Trump being Trump, took it to another level.
-
Why?
-
How come nobody is bringing up Dr Birx interview with ABC, where she basically admitted that Trump tried to parrot what he heard the experts discuss, but as usual he flubbed it? She didn't not categorically deny that he was totally off base in his comments.

“Hey Brandon, Terry Pegula here. You see all the news headlines about PSE laying off people because we’re strapped for cash? In light of that, please justify why I would pay $8 million to a 2nd string DE.”
-
Got the same thing. That means there won't be a season
-
I'm putting Trump's comments in the usual context of him mangling something he heard in his briefings. That's his usual behavior. There's always something true behind his ramblings, and when the fuller context is unearthed a few weeks later, there's a big yawn. Show me where Biden is subject to the same scrutiny that Trump is.

And yet Andrew Cuomo is willing to tolerate unlimited increases of suicide, domestic violence and depression to prevent possible infections. But the focus is on drinking chlorine. Imagine if Trump had said what Cuomo said yesterday, which is also contradicting science & statistics.
-
I'm not defending Trump. I'm asking why Biden gets a pass for forgetting very basic things.
-
Then I'll welcome your contributions to the Biden threads
-
Again, why are Trump's statements seen as stupid, while Biden's are the result of a speech impediment (which was NEVER used as an excuse until a month ago)?
-
Not by a long shot. Trump doesn't make things up on the spot. But he has a special knack of mangling whatever was the last thing he heard from his advisors.

These are good questions that haven't been answered satisfactorily. That's why they need to be asked over and over until the glaring holes in the answers are addressed. Yes, NYC is the most dense city. Yes, NYC largely relies on mass transit. But if you look deeper beyond the surface answers, you'll see why things don't add up. If density was the issue, you'd see a more uniform spread of the infections across the city. But that's not the case. The infections and deaths are concentrated in certain neighborhoods within boros, yet the most densely packed Manhattan is the least affected. The least dense Staten Island had a brief spurt in infections & deaths. Why did other cities that rely on mass transit didn't have the same spikes? SF is certainly not a sprawling suburbia full of car commuters. Chicago? Philly? Why did the serious spread stop at the northern NJ commuter counties and didn't migrate south and affect the Philly metro? Are NYC residents less healthy? Not by a long shot. NY life expectancy is top 5 in the US. I've been harping on a possibly different strain that hit NYC vs the others. The anecdotal evidence would back it up. If the theory that the NY infections came from the Europe, that could be the deadly variant that's hit SW Europe. Remember that the top 5 countries for mortality account for 75% of all Wuhan deaths (not counting China in the fiasco they caused). That strongly indicates that there's a more potent version of this thing that's traveling around, but that version doesn't spread as easily as the more mild variants. Again, anecdotally, it does appear that the virus has been far more prevalent in the US. I know a lot of people who aren't counted in the rolls, but definitely have the digestive tract version of this thing. They key is that you don't get the bastard that hits the respiratory system.

Yeah because sunscreen is healthy for you

I'd rather not.
