  1. How many times does it need to be reminded that if you take Trump's words literally, you're an idiot?
  2. Can't see how Rishard Matthews doesn't sign there now
  3. Why don't you stick to the quote that he actually said? There was a specific stipulation for the $1 million donation to charity. If you read the results, they show that she's less Indian than an average American with a European lineage. Shouldn't you be more concerned that HER story about her grandparents eloping is a giant lie?
  4. There's no question that Bridgewater is better than McCarron and Peterman, if healthy. But for that, you have to question almost every team's medical personnel for their concerns about his ability to play in 2018. In a QB starved league, he went to the Jets as the #3 QB
  5. He repeated it in his last preseason interview on WGR. He's going on radio silence until after the season
  6. Swap with Peterman!!
  7. They would have traded Bridgewater if he was as putrid as McCarron was in preseason. Don't ignore that tidbit of history when formulating your opinion. I think the Bills had every intention of starting the season with McCarron and he failed spectacularly to win the job. Bridgewater was the best QB in Jets' preseason games, while McCarron was the worst for the Bills.
  8. It would be great to keep all those underperforming players at top salaries, wouldn't it? Bottom line is that all the players who the team voluntarily cast off haven't done squat compared to their replacements. It's still too early to call the finish game on offense because they spent the ammo on Allen. I said above, the biggest mistake was not going after Bridgewater. He would have won the starting job outright over Peterman. Beane took a lot of flack for not being more aggressive in getting a vet QB this spring, yet all of those guys look like fools' gold right now. This offense is suffering from only one glaring problem - the QB. Allen shouldn't be on the field yet and Peterman sucks. Everything else flows from there.
  9. I don't understand why people bother at all.
  10. The only thing that they squarely missed of the options that were available was not going after Bridgewater. I don't know who gave them medical advice, but it was clearly wrong and the guy was available for a song. It's hard to watch Mahomes light it up and not think of what could have been. I'll chalk it up to usual Bills' luck that the front office was in transition for them to pull the obvious trigger. We also don't know who else they pursued in FA that declined to work for the Bills, like John Brown. Rishard Matthews would be a clear asset, but wants no part of Terry Robiskie. And regarding your list of players that the Bills tossed aside, please tell me how much better Cordy Glenn has played than Dawkins, and why Sammy Watkins had a worse stat line than Zay Jones? Bills didn't let Robert Woods walk, they wanted to keep him. He walked on his own. Bodine was the best FA option available. Which Pro Bowler did Newhouse replace? The guy who can't last through a quarter of a season? In retrospect, you also have to give credit to Beane for not going hogwild after Bradford, Cousins & Keenum
  11. It rained this morning and I almost slipped
  12. Good thing it bounced in Houston's direction, if you catch my drift.
  13. Quite the contrary, use the injury to sit his butt back down. As others pointed out, he's shown very little progress since the Chargers game and it looks like he's starting to press and all the bad habits from Wyoming are coming back. There's virtually no time for him to take the proverbial step back and see what he's doing wrong. There are 3 practices during the week now, and all of that is spent on preparing for the opponent. There's no time for him to start looking at his mistakes AND trying to fix them. In any event, there's another factor that likely sealed his fate as a starter for now. Watch the body language of the WRs when he makes a bad pass or a wrong read. They are visibly upset on the field. We've also seen this with JP and EJ. It wasn't long after the WRs acted up that the QBs were benched. Allen's elbow injury came at the perfect time. Sit his butt down for a while.
  14. There was zero excuse for calling that play at that time of the game.
  15. Who's giving Eli a pass? He's getting crushed in NY today.
  16. As opposed to any other celebrity?
  17. As I remarked shortly after the inauguration, much of the anti-Trump noise is a public display of celebrities' neuroses.
  18. Was that an intentional choice of words to describe the Sabres ownership during that time?
  19. Talk about the ultimate strawman argument. Bravo.
  20. In this specific example he was brought in as a mentor AND as a replacement to Peterman.
  21. I don't get why people get hung up on Anderson's playing ability. He wasn't brought in to be a long term QB. It doesn't matter whether the older QB wants to be a mentor or not. Many older QBs are naturally threatened by the youngsters and will want nothing to do with actively helping the kid. But that competitive drive by the veteran will also force him to work and harder to stay in the line up, and that work regimen in itself is a huge benefit to the youngster.
  22. Why do people naturally assume that every veteran QB has to tutor or mentor a young QB? There are multiple reasons why a veteran is valuable in the locker room, even if he's still competing with the youngster for playing time. Nobody lasts in the NFL for 13 seasons by accident. If someone has stuck on NFL rosters for that long it means that the player has something valuable to offer to the team, and whether it's talent, work ethic, intimate knowledge of the game plans and defenses, acting as defacto assistant OC or QB coach, whatever it is - that is something that's invaluable that a young QB can pick up by osmosis that he won't get from another kid who's only spent 12 more months on an NFL roster. This shouldn't even be debatable and it's sad that it took this long to get a Derek Anderson on this squad.
  23. There's also a stud out there who averages 7 YPC. Can't believe he hasn't been claimed.
  24. Marlowe needs to clear waivers first. That's why they created an extra PS spot
