Don't change the subject. Your point was that the only reason that Bills kept Peterman over McCarron was McD's infatuation with Peterman. That wasn't the only reason. Peterman actually looked better than McCarron in camp Flip the argument. Is it ok for an NFL vet to look mediocre against half speed defenses?

WR Rishard Matthews Done in Tennessee - Signed by the Jets
GG replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's definitely something behind the scenes with Matthews. Falling out with his OC last year Falling out with his OC this year Team grants his release (and it costs them a W) Remains unsigned, despite deep WR need by many teams (the guy who replaced him and dropped the TD was signed) -
As the saying goes, the Bills picked the wrong time to quit sniffing glue. A lot of the issues are due to the overlap of a new coach and a lame duck GM. We have no idea in how Beane would have approached FA and the draft if he were in the seat in January 2017. But overall, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until at least next year to fix the offense. They clearly have been able to plug the self made defensive holes much more efficiently than they have on offense. Again, none of the offensive woes would matter if they got competent QB play.

That is obvious, but I doubt Pegula will afford him that luxury past this season.

Is there even a question in whether they bring in more QBs next year?

Bills vs. Texans All-22 Coaches Film Reviews

And still won 2 more games than the all-star cast. Are you a FFL fan or a Bills' fan? -
Dareus was a net negative for the run game, but probably a net positive for the "process" For all the crap that McDermott gets for hap clappy talk, he did get the team to buy in and turn a winning record with a subpar cast. I don't know if they offered Goodwin a contract, but they definitely made a strong push to bring Woods back. In the end, they totally underestimated his market value.

Ben Shapiro Explains The Transgender Conundrum
GG replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The difference is the word marriage, which is historically associated with a religious procedure. Call it whatever you want, but not marriage. And BTW, you wouldn't be able to get a legal civil union contract in a church either, that would come from the City Hall along with the civil union license, which you still need to obtain. So if you want to be married in the eyes of your Lord, go to the house of worship. If you want it legally binding, get a civil union. On the other point, others handled it fairly well. You cannot deny services that you offer to the general public, on the other hand you cannot compel someone to do perform a special service that's against your beliefs. Do you have the right to walk into a Kosher Restaurant and demand that they serve you a bacon cheeseburger? It's a restaurant that serves food to the public. -

The veterans here have been down this road for a long time when the discussion was just hypotheticals 2 decades ago (geez I'm old). There were many supporters of gay marriage calling everyone else silly that allowing gay marriage in a secular legal environment would in no way shape or form would impinge on the religious beliefs or rights of others. How has that worked out? Sometimes you have to look at today's opposing views not as bigoted towards the discriminated, but as a forward view of what will inevitably come from the party that never settles for a win. In the debates of long ago, it was also argued that marriage isn't truly a secular institution and was coopted from religion. Very few people who opposed gay marriage opposed legal civil unions sanctioned by the state with the same rights and responsibilities that are given upon what are now called marriages. -
