  1. No doubt. People keep calling him lazy because they saw him in one game and they seem to feel that game was enough to make a decision on his ability. I watched him play in several games and he is an absolute game changer. He would free up our LB's to make plays and would be seeing constant double and triple teams. I have made him my avatar because I believe we will draft him and that would be great news for our Defense.
  2. The best thing Cottrell does is lure free agents that he used to coach to come and play for his new team. Such as Antoine Winfield, Pat Williams,Sam Cowart. Damn, come to think of it that bastard keeps stealing our guys.
  3. He sure called a hell of a gadget play yesterday when Randel El took a direct snap, ran across the field and threw it back to Rothlisburger who launched the ball down field for a TD. The entire defense bought it and were completely out of position. I loved it.
  4. Thanks for changing the link, I thought I was going crazy.
  5. Agreed. The team needs to either get behind him or get rid of him. I believe that players and coaches who are considering coming to this team will be concerned about joining a lame duck coach. Players will be forced to learn a new system if he doesn't last and coaches will fear for their jobs or at least more changes. At this point Wilson and Levy need to support him 100% or let him go.
  6. Wow, that's a lot to read. Does it really say in there somewhere that Gray is gone?
  7. He probably thought it was just someone with the same name and he thought he was being funny. If it was my kid I'd be having words with that teacher and they would probably not be very pleasant.
  8. Slothrop quote: "If you love wealth better than liberty ... crouch down and lick the hands which feed you." - Samuel Adams Why is our Defensive Tackle talking about licking hands?
  9. He said that he talked to Mularkey about how it is impossible not to take fans criticism personally, especially when it affects your family. He said that his 11 year old son came home from school recently and was upset. He said "Dad for some reason everyone in school hates you now." As far as Mularkey goes, he said that Mularkey told him that he has a child in elementary school in Buffalo. I guess about a week ago they had a substitute teacher in class who was taking role call and when he got to Mularkey, he said "as in the soon to be ex-coach of the Bills?" I don't know if the teacher knew that this was actually Mularkey's kid or not but Mularkey was pretty upset by this...can't say I blame him.
  10. I agree. And as you can see by my signature, I'm excited about Ngata and I believe he can be the difference maker on this Defense. I also believe we would take Ferguson over Ngate if he were available and I would be happy with that pick as well.
  11. This Led Zeppelin DVD is awesome! I highly recommend it and I'm not even an avid Zep fan. It was just fun to watch/listen to. http://www.rockgreats.com/catalog.ez?ShowP...=9701-DVD&AID=2
  12. We're cursed. No more Pittsburghers.
  13. Oh God, please, no one else from Pittsburgh for awhile. Now Norv Turner as OC, that sounds interesting. How's about Haslett as DC?
  14. His play calling and getting outcoached on a weekly basisi is just part of the problem.. My issue with MM is the way he seems to handle his players. He has clashed with many of the teams veterans and has used the media to publicly criticize players. Then he cops an attitude with the media when they call him out on certain issues like play calling, personnel decisions etc... He is just not the kind of coach I want representing the team I root for.
  15. that was amazing. If he comes out, I can't see the Texans passing on him.
  16. I hope he is more involved... I truly believe he wants to win one before he "moves on".
  17. any idea who the DE was?
  18. The McGahee reference is an interesting one. Maybe that means he'll still enter the draft? article: There was no official word from the team on Thomas' condition, though one teammate said it appeared to be a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Panos, who helped coach Thomas at Brookfield Central High School and has been close to him ever since, declined comment on the severity of the injury. "We'll find out when they get the MRI results," Panos said. Typically, there is a recovery time of about six months from such an injury. Even if it is a torn ACL, as expected, the good news could be the way it happened. Thomas' knee was not severely wrenched when he went down and it did not take a direct hit. "This isn't like a (Willis) McGahee injury, it wasn't a blunt-force trauma," Panos said of the Buffalo Bills running back who was hurt in college at Miami (Fla.). "So, I'm expecting the damage not to be (as) severe. That's my guess. It's not like you hear a kid's whole knee was torn. I don't think it's anything like that."
  19. damn, I just read an article that said injured while playing DE. That sucks.
  20. What's the story with Joe Thomas. I heard that he was our guy but now he's not available. Is he injured or just staying in school?
  21. Any update on Ngata's injury? I can't find one anywhere.
  22. I agree. I've watched him play a few times and I believe that he is the type of player who's addition would immediately make us a top 5 D again. (Especially if Spikes is back and healthy) It has been said that he makes the players around him better because he ties up 2 or 3 blockers and I believe that was what we missed this year without Williams.
  23. I have resigned myself to accepting the fact that we will pick Ngata unless for some reason Brick Ferguson is available at the #8 spot. What I would love to see is us trade up into the late first round (we've done it before) and get Eric Winston, the OT from Miami as well. We need to shore up both lines and this would go a long way towards doing just that.
