  1. This Led Zeppelin DVD is awesome! I highly recommend it and I'm not even an avid Zep fan. It was just fun to watch/listen to. http://www.rockgreats.com/catalog.ez?ShowP...=9701-DVD&AID=2
  2. We're cursed. No more Pittsburghers.
  3. Oh God, please, no one else from Pittsburgh for awhile. Now Norv Turner as OC, that sounds interesting. How's about Haslett as DC?
  4. His play calling and getting outcoached on a weekly basisi is just part of the problem.. My issue with MM is the way he seems to handle his players. He has clashed with many of the teams veterans and has used the media to publicly criticize players. Then he cops an attitude with the media when they call him out on certain issues like play calling, personnel decisions etc... He is just not the kind of coach I want representing the team I root for.
  5. that was amazing. If he comes out, I can't see the Texans passing on him.
  6. I hope he is more involved... I truly believe he wants to win one before he "moves on".
  7. any idea who the DE was?
  8. The McGahee reference is an interesting one. Maybe that means he'll still enter the draft? article: There was no official word from the team on Thomas' condition, though one teammate said it appeared to be a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Panos, who helped coach Thomas at Brookfield Central High School and has been close to him ever since, declined comment on the severity of the injury. "We'll find out when they get the MRI results," Panos said. Typically, there is a recovery time of about six months from such an injury. Even if it is a torn ACL, as expected, the good news could be the way it happened. Thomas' knee was not severely wrenched when he went down and it did not take a direct hit. "This isn't like a (Willis) McGahee injury, it wasn't a blunt-force trauma," Panos said of the Buffalo Bills running back who was hurt in college at Miami (Fla.). "So, I'm expecting the damage not to be (as) severe. That's my guess. It's not like you hear a kid's whole knee was torn. I don't think it's anything like that."
  9. damn, I just read an article that said injured while playing DE. That sucks.
  10. What's the story with Joe Thomas. I heard that he was our guy but now he's not available. Is he injured or just staying in school?
  11. Any update on Ngata's injury? I can't find one anywhere.
  12. I agree. I've watched him play a few times and I believe that he is the type of player who's addition would immediately make us a top 5 D again. (Especially if Spikes is back and healthy) It has been said that he makes the players around him better because he ties up 2 or 3 blockers and I believe that was what we missed this year without Williams.
  13. I have resigned myself to accepting the fact that we will pick Ngata unless for some reason Brick Ferguson is available at the #8 spot. What I would love to see is us trade up into the late first round (we've done it before) and get Eric Winston, the OT from Miami as well. We need to shore up both lines and this would go a long way towards doing just that.
  14. If Jonathan Scott made it out of the first round I would be amazed. If he did, he would be an excellent choice at that spot. It will be tempting to take an OT if someone such as Ferguson or Winston were there. (Winston should be) I could see Mario Williams being an option as well.
  15. I like what I've seen of him, just not sure if DT is a bigger need. Winston seems like he would be a great pro but of course you never can tell...
  16. I actually agree with you, my guess is Ngata. I would love Ferguson as well but he won't be available. I could have seen Donahoe stretching for Winston but who knows with the new regime.
  17. I found a website predicting that we will draft Miami's left tackle Eric Winston. http://www.footballsfuture.com/2006/mock2006.html You gotta love a lineman nick-named Neanderthal. Plus, he had a major knee injury, we love that. Strengths: Has excellent size with long arms and the frame to add some additional weight...Extremely athletic and quick for the position...Has amazing feet...Mobility is outstanding...Can pull and block in space...Competitive and physical...Uses his hands well and has a good initial punch...Very smart and a hard worker with top intangibles...Gets better each game and still has a ton of upside and potential. Weaknesses: Suffered a major knee injury as a junior in 2004 and didn't appear to be fully recovered yet...Has some trouble with speed rushers...Can he play left tackle or will he have to move to the right side?...Raw and is still mastering the nuances and technique of the position...Needs to get stronger and continue to develop physically...Can he get much bigger without losing his quickness and mobility? Notes: Came to college as a tight end...Looked like a future elite left tackle prospect prior to the injury...Stock dropped in 2005 but that downturn in play might be attributed to his not yet being 100% healthy...It usually takes two seasons to come back from the type of surgery he had so some team may get a steal if he slips a little on Draft Day and then reverts back to the form he showed in 2003 and 2004.
  18. No doubt. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. JP looked very good, Defense held it's own. We won. I'll take it. I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty.
  19. I like the sex angle better, it's more fun. And judging by the size of the one girls nose she could snort A LOT of coke.
  20. There is this link on the Buffalo Bills page on sportsline but you need VIP access to open it. Is anyone here a VIP? Holcomb to lose spot? Bills to start J.P. Losman? http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/teams/page/BUF under player news.
  21. For a minute there I thought we would be going after the guy who wrote the article.
  22. I'm thinking a speedy WR. Someone who can stretch the field so far that none of our QB's can get the ball to him.
  23. This years Red Sox season was a real bust...
