  1. For all of the people complaining about the change in the play calling and conservative Defense in the second half last week, please remember the reaction when Marrone did not take this approach against the Pats*. We were dominating them in a game (I believe it was last year) and instead of running the ball more and eating up the clock in order to protect our lead, we continued with a no huddle offense and aggressive play calling and ultimately lost a game we should have won. Be happy Rex and company are smart coaches who understand how to protect a lead and close out a game against a very dangerous opponent. There will be games this year where he will be able to step on opponents throats and dominate wire to wire, but against a team like the Colts or Pats* you do what you can to win.
  2. Taylor pass to Watkins on right side for 47 yards. 17 first downs
  3. its gonna be the Pats*. At least for a week.
  4. Great stat. Although I was hoping for more pressure on Luck, he seems to be better than most at feeling the rush and side stepping it. To hold them so far below their average from last year should be very telling. The Colts players talked a lot about us taking them out of their gameplan and forcing errors. This Defense is as good as advertised and that is without Dareus. Dareus will eat up two blockers and free someone else to make the play. I can't wait til next week!
  5. he looks damn good! The Niners coach looks like an extra from the Sopranos.
  6. My guess is we will start the season ranked in the low 20's by the national media who barely takes the time to know the team, we will move into the 12-16 range after a few good wins and then quickly drop back down to 20-25 at the first sign of a loss. By the way, the media's yearly ball washing of the Dolphins never fails to amaze me.
  7. Unfortunately, I believe that is just the kind of risk you take with a player like Hughes. He is a high risk, high reward type of player who plays with a lot of emotion and aggression. It is part of what makes him so good and his quick burst caused a holding penalty or two as well as drawing a flag. I think if you try to hard to "tame" him you will also take away the thing that makes him such an impact player on this defense. Unfortunately, he also has a reputation now which draws extra attention from the officials, but I guarantee you, opposing Defenses are thinking about him too.
  8. I would have no problem with that... Now if he had a picture of MY wife's feet, that would be weird.
  9. I have no doubt they have found a way to do this. I am going to go with Gronkgate. I have no idea what it will be exactly, but it is coming...
  10. F ing Pittsburgh! Play some Defense, please!!
  11. I love that Rex has that picture on his desk. (Real or not)
  12. until the next time we call... These guys will do whatever is necessary to try and get on an NFL roster. They do not hold grudges, it's a business.
  13. I thought he was released from the PS yesterday to add Noel.
  14. This is like the psychic hotline thread.
  15. Who's with me. LET'S DO IT!! AAAAAUGGHH!!!
  16. is Joe Chenelly really Kyle Williams in disguise?
  17. Still no Caleb Sturgis? What are they waiting for?
  18. yes, Fins cut him in their final cut. I really like Carpenter, but getting Sturgis or Hopkins opens up another roster spot because Our kickoff specialist becomes expendable. Maybe we can get Andre Davis back.
  19. I'd rather have Caleb Sturgis.
  20. I have noticed that and greatly appreciate the effort. It is always fun seeing how you make the connection.
  21. You list Seantrel Henderson as a cut?
  22. Any update on Williams and when he will be back? Are we going to find out the his "secret" medical procedure was a gender reassignment and he/she will return as Karla Williams? Those Hard Knocks fools will surely regret not picking the Bills then.
  23. How dare you think any of us would know that!! It's TT Boy
