For all we know, he advocated for completely different players than the GM and coach ultimately selected. He is part of the overall evaluation team and it sounds as though he is respected as a talent evaluator. I like it.

There have been a lot of really stupid, ignorant comments around here lately, and I am doing my best to ignore them but this post tops them all. Your ignorance is embarrassing. To say he has no character because of the family he was born into is senseless. Sammy has proven to be a hard working, talented member of this team and deserves the support of this fan base not the vitriol of an uneducated or at least ignorant fool looking for attention.

Not that I believe Peterman will be the starter, but it was encouraging to here Zay Jones say that Peterman already appeared to know the playbook and he was comfortable calling plays on day one of rookie camp. I have a feeling he will be a competent backup at a minimum.
