  1. lol at calling the dean out his knowledge of logic. Dean, I'll disagree with the assessment regarding the use of analytics coming close to that of baseball. The use of different statistics can be used to determine a player's breaking point as far as wear and tear. how often he should be subbed out, when to go for it on 4th, where is a team weakest against the runs (holes, play type), and the speed of a QB's reads the field pre-snap and post-snap. There is enough software out there to test out the hypotheses and find trends. Moneyball is moving to football slowly but surely.
  2. You could lock up Rosen before he talks our head coach into quitting the job
  3. Wow, this is revisionist history when Whaley was not the guy who drafted EJ and the analytics dept was created in October of last year. SMH
  4. yeah, I think that reputation of Suh caught up with him. If this was any other player, this wouldn't have been a story, let alone investigated by the league. Suh was being blocked on the first step and the inertia made it tough for him to go forward immediately. The only thing he could have done that would shut up the skeptics was to fall backwards and down which could have been worse for Rodgers and himself.
  5. I'm sure that it has been stated, but my biggest gripe offensively has been the playcalling. When you drive the ball up the field against KC into the red zone by running the ball, common sense would dictate that you continue with a ground heavy look. Instead we get into the red zone, and go empty backfield 4 plays in a row, turn the ball over on downs, and lose the game when this was our opportunity to put it away. You can find multiple examples of this throughout the year. I have to believe that Marrone needs to hire an OC that will call plays and let him focus on game management. I don't care if Hackett gets demoted or canned, but he cannot be the OC next year and expect progress.
  6. JSP, take the bandits advice.... and please upload video of bacon hat as well
  7. How do we know that it didn't happen already and that he had clones created for said inevitability?
  8. Okay... put the video on youtube, PM me the link, and give me your Paypal account to send you the $ :-D
  9. Wow. That is channeling ICE's shitfits of the Greg Williams days. Frankly, there was progress this season. That is about all we could have asked for. The reality is that the Bills are two guards, stability at QB, and a good offensive coordinator away from being a solid playoff team. The fact is that we were relevant in week 16 for the first since Mularkey was coach. Be patient as we are in year 2 of rebuild that actually is progressing. I'd pay $25 bucks to watch that
  10. I may not have the best grip on the English language, but I believe these are contradictory statements. To compare us to Arizona is unfair, as they have suffered less since Warner than we have since Kelly. We will be in all likelihood stuck with EJ or Orton as our starter, week 1. One can hope that EJ can develop more during the off-season. Nonetheless, cleaning house after our best season in 9 years, where we were in playoff contention, would be idiotic. The only justifiable way to get rid of Marrone, would be if he refused to give up playcalling duties or refused to fire Hackett. Assuming that they lose to Patriots*, I have to say that Buffalo did well enough to not be considered football purgatory. We upgraded from laughingstock to mediocre. Hopefully, the gains in performance and status continue. However, I believe that the growth is done with a scalpel not with a cleaver.
  11. Miami uses their Pouncey as a guard, due to the solid play of Samson Satele in the position
  12. Not according to the total QBR 27th of 30th qualifying QB's http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr
  13. Wow, way to piss in his corn flakes. I agree with Kevin that "pretty likely" is a tough way to describe the Bills chances at this point. When the Bills chances are sitting at 10% at this point, pretty likely is not a good descriptor, imo
  14. I guess so, that was quite the strike out of Clay Matthews.
  15. Honestly, the drum core brings more to the stadium experience, in my not so humble opinion. I feel that the cheerleaders as a whole are an archaic ideal that really is not what these girls grew up with in recent times. Most of the girls (at the high school level) of today prefer the routine/dance sequences and the competitions that go with it over the rah rah stuff on top of a track in front of the crowd.
  16. I'd argue that paying Brees 26 million and Junior Galette as the highest paid OLB in the game at 15 million is even more damning than Byrd's 10 million. Nonetheless, their GM needs to be subjected to voodoo by a vengeful fan of la fleur de lis.

  18. Shh... that makes too much sense. Honestly, the coaching staff blew the KC game by abandoning the run on their pentultimate drive.
  19. My biggest issue is professionalism of the officials. When you do something like that at such an inopportune time, it will be scrutinized. Nevermind the overall performance of the crew being horrible to boot.
  20. In obvious run situations, Lawson is typically in, since he is the better run defender. That may have explained more Lawson than Hughes.
  21. The Bills faced three teams today... themselves, the officials, and the Broncos. They were resoundingly beating by the first two.
  22. My one black roommate in college got harassed by police at an airport for "looking like a thug." My car was tailed by police for over 30 minutes as we headed back to our dorm. There are some ****ty police and many more great policemen.
