If your wife is named Lorena, you may want to re-think parading lingerie models through Mickeyania.

You said goodbye but you're still here. Was it more like au revoir?

The secret Mac owners don't want you knowing...

Steve Jobs also runs Pixar. Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo and their latest.......The Incrdibles. Incredibles? Ha! You know what's incredible? Hanging 81 on Toronto after only being out of jail for about a year. Let's see Dash do that. -
That's not the point nor should it be the standard. The point is that you cannot say.....this guy lost...therefore he will lose again....and if you disagree you are a Pollyanna.

Bill Belichick.....proven loser..... I don't see where he supports or disapporves of the move. He merely points out that you (and two trillion others) are using stats that are at best dubious and at worst meaningless. Is Grady Little a proven winner? Gene Mauch a loser?

Real true life anguish? Are you serious?

Can you do a little research on Brett Favre's career record compared to Jim Miller's? How about Ahman Green vs. Anthony Thomsas? I'd be willing to bet Favre is better than Miller. Do you think that helped/hurt Jauron/Sherman? I have this weird theory that teams with better players tend to win more. It's crazy, I know.

Kobe puts up 81 pts on Raptors

1. I didn't get an e-mail. 2. A good way to not take shots and not get into a Kobe debate is to NOT post in the Kobe thread. -

That cheap shot you just took was at least in part directed at me. Let me make my feelings on this thread this 100% clear. 1. I don't hate Kobe Bryant 2. I do think he is a spoiled brat idiot arrogant moron (opinion only) 3. I don't know whether he raped that girl or not. It is quite possible. I objected only to the fact that you were "sure" he didn't do it. If he did do it, he is far worse than the items in #2. 4. This is a football board, not a Kobe board 5. Until he proves otherwise, he is an improved model of Reggie Theus (gunner) -
I'm sure al the FAs were calling their agents and telling them they'd only play for Sherman.

The personnel on those Chcago teams ensured that any win was a miracle. His Coach of the Year season doesn't count but the seasons with poor records tell all? My original take on the coach was: Sherman sounds pretty good even though I thought GB underachieved for the last 5 years. I don't really want Capers. After that I have no idea. With Jauron....we'll see. Like many have stated, getting quality players is more important.
-
He would also be on the short list of "recent coaches of the year". What was the talent level he had in Chicago? If any team hired Gregg Williams this year it would have been widely considered "a great hire". In fact, Washington overpaid him and basically promised him the job when Gibbs re-retires. What is his track record?

The common theme among those threads is that they were started by clueless people (all of us). There could be four trillion threads with similar titles and it would mean absolutely nothing.

We all must convert. Do Muslims get a big party when they come of age like a Bar Mitzvah? Even though we're over 13, do we get one when we convert?

The reasonable Bin Laden is now coming to this conclusion while the crazy GW (the root cause of all problems) has yet to gain the perspective and wisdom of OBL? Nice. This, like other OBL tapes, attempts to bring politics into it and pile on notions reported in editorial pages. The war mongers are profiting.....they contrived this war.....blah blah blah. OBL is making a poor attempt at playing you and you are buying it.

He's not a hockey player. He's a Nancy boy.

For five years they've been touting Jack Cust as a great pickup in baseball. They do have some good info, but they are far from perfect. As for Jauron.....how is he that different than Levy was when he came from KC?

half dozen "FOR SALE" signs on your lawn
OGTEleven replied to bluenews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right. He has two kids. Do you think they might have been a bit anxious knowing there were intruders at their home every night? If true, the people putting up signs under the cover of darkness are the ones that need to "grow a set" and do it in the daylight. -
Marty's the next Dick Butkus.

I agree that racism is an undesirable but real part of our society. I also believe that it is FAR more prevalent than any crime stats will ever show. Moreover, I believe that there are many non-racists in our society. What do you think is the cause of racism? What do you think the solution(s) is/are? How do we help the non-racists win over time?

Mike Martz can't even get out of the Buffalo airport one time every eighth year without whining. You expect him to do it 10 times a year?
-
I agree with part of that and disagree with other parts. I don't think the Bills were setting Mularkey up so that he could fail. I thihnk they genuinly wanted to win with him and that Marv would have given him fair shot in the truest sense (meaning he would not be looking for miracles, but a sense of confidence in Mularkey's program). The coaches that were already let go, for the most parrt, needed to be let go. I agree that we are presently in chaos and that Marv has his work cut out for him. If he chooses a head coach well, we will be ok; albeit with an adjustment period. I think that Mularkey would have undergone his own adjustment period being under a new management with a new staff anyway. He may have pulled this off, but it was far from certain. It would be a difficult circumstance for anyone. I hope that the family thing is the typical smokescreen but my guess is that it is real. With some reports (Mora Jr.'s example) already out there, it is likely there are more. He may have simply chosen his family's sanity over his football career's progress. If so, good for him and shame on Buffalo. There is no excuse for abusing someone's children over a friggin football team. I disagree that we will look back longingly at TD. While he did have strong points such as projecting a professional image, he also had weak points. Five years is a long time in the NFL to emerge with a 5-11 record whatever the excuses. Even so, I think he would have held his job if he had projected a little friendlier face over the years. This year, he repeatedly said things like "believe me....we all feel worse about this than the fans." To me, it didn't ring true. I'm just one person but I didn't get a feel from Donahoe that he really had any empathy for how much the fans in Buffalo really want to win. It has always been the community's team. TD seemed to take an approach that said "We're the pros from Dover. Sit back and watch us deliver a top notch team to this community." I never got the sense that the team and community were one and the same. TD is not wholly to blame for this, but he is partly to blame. He seemed to try to do some things to communicate (Ask the GM) but in the end, they seemed cookie cutter and contrived. Marv will not have this problem.
