  6. Most of you know the rules: I ask 5 questions and you try to answer them. I tell you if you are right or WRONG!!!! I try to insult you as musch as possible and YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE OFFENDED. Here goes: 1. The title of what relatively unknown song by a very popular (multi-decade) band on their most famous album describes the Bills under Donahoe's regime? 2. The publicity for the Turin Olympics has been (fill in the blank) at best. 3. What is the difference between what these guys do In Jersey and some who use simliar methods in Canada? 4. Who will be the most improved player on the 2006 NE Patriots? 5. Who has the rosiest future in sports?
  7. Especially since the Sabres were themselves coming off an emotional win of a game that had a lot of build up. That was a quality 2 points no matter how you cut it.
  8. ????? You acted as if labor vs management and institution vs individual had no similarities despite the fact that they do and that I had specifically equated them. You then proceeded to ignore the entire content of my post while replying only to this nit picky component. Why reply at all? It was without a direct insult, but your decision to dismiss my post entirely, based on a minor detail would normally be considered insulting. Three posts later you still have ignored the primary point of my original post. Why? If you disagree fine, that's why the board is here. When I pointed this out, I re-stated what I had already said. The worst thing I said was "You're smart enough to figure that out." You are. Note I didn't say "Even you are smart enough to figure that out." That would have been an insult. I then cracked a lame joke about pregnancy. Your next post spent 75% of its text slamming the lame joke and 25% calling my assertion that Labor vs. management and Institution vs, Individual have a lot of corollaries a stupid one. I still think they do. I think most people would agree. You called it obviously stupid. You made only a veiled reference to my original main content and found it stupid based on the analogy you deemed invalid. It seems like you'd rather argue about semantics than the original content of my first post. If so, go eff yourself. I'm done. If not, take another look at my orignal post and strike any reference to labor vs mangement. Substitute Institution vs individual and make your comments. I'd like to hear them.
  9. Do you spank your monkey avatar?
  10. It could be up to 26 (two teams). Of course this and the other points render tonight's almost meaningless except for entertainment value. The meaningful games come much later.
  11. I predict this game will be overhyped yet again. Oops too late. Is "postdict" a word?
  12. The portion about my post about pregnancy was made (partially) in jest. It was not meant to stir up rancor. I certainly never suggested in my posts that WalMart be trusted over doctors. I never really discussed the specific topic at all, just the general topic. As for your unbelievably rude analysis of my analogy, I have two comments: 1. I never even typed the word union. I discussed management versus labor and institutions versus "individuals". Surely you understand that the WalMart case was brought by a group, not a true individual. How would you, almighty one, define "individual? How big must the group become to no longer be an individual? If the state must always "look out for the individual" would this not give rise to similar transgressions from the other side? Shouldn't a judge, judge? The ebb and flow between mangement and labor (or institutions and individuals) is actually quite healthy IMO. 2. I am used to you taking pieces of my arguments, implying some meaning that was never there, and arguing against the implied meaning. You usually don't call me (or the bastardized version of my argument) stupid. For that you can go eff yourself.
  13. The post to which I responded was one in which you were arguing about something to do with Nazi Germany. There was no pharmacy issue mentioned even though it may have evolved from a pharmacy issue earlier in the thread. Your comment about inviduals vs. institutions was VERY general without any obvious or implied exceptions. Many of the same types of issues arise in labor vs management threads/discussions/controversies. The analogy should have been obvious. Just in case it wasn't, I spelled it out. If it still isn't, feel free to substitute institutions vs individuals for any reference to management vs labor. You're smart enough to figure that out. Is your "sick people" vs WalMart an attempt to get me to accuse you of calling pregnancy a sickness? If so, consider the bait ignored.
  14. There's the problem in a nutshell. Government should be no more inclined to "Stand up for" one group or another. Call it Labor vs. Management, Institutional vs individual or whatever you like. Government should always stand up for the principles upon which it was founded. It stands to reason, given the constant push and pull between labor and management, that proper government action would not always line up with one side or the other. Sometimes it would side with individuals, sometimes with institutions and sometimes (hopefully most) it would stay uninvolved. Institutions, or groups of institutions, are inclined toward corruption. So too are individuals or groups of individuals. "The people's republic's" around the world do not have stellar records when it comes to individuals even though they are staunchly anti-business. Neither group has been served well by these governments that are predicated on standing up for the workers. I'll take our founding priciples and stack them up against any in the world's history. It's when our government strays from them (in favor of either labor or management or a self absorbed power grab) that we get into trouble.
  15. He probably thinks the Thrashers will pass the Sabres due to Buffalo's weak goaltending.
  16. 10,948. Ok, so I made that up.
  17. Anyone who has read my posts over the years knows that I am not a huge fan of Fletcher. I have always liked Moulds and think from a career point of view he has been very underrated. With that said, Fletcher is a leader and appears to care most about the TEAM winning. Moulds had the opportunity in 2005 to be a leader for the Bills. He could have been the guy to come in with Jim Kelly as a rookie, learn from Kelly and the other Bills from the winning era and help new guys like JP understand and grow. Instead Moulds appeared to focus on his own stature. He removed himself from a game and was suspended from the next. He openly lobbied for Holcomb when clearly the Bills need a strong leader to develop at QB (whether that turns out to be JP remains to be seen). He put himself before the team. I wish it didn't happen, but it did. Maybe he can pay a penance and be a leader in 2006. I hope he can. If he wants to do that I am 100% for keeping him. If not, he has to go. I would have never thought I'd type this, but if I had to choose between Fletcher and Moulds, at this point, I'd take Fletcher in a heartbeat. I hope they both stay but that Moulds attitude becomes more like Fletcher's.
  18. Didn't your mom ever teach you? If you don't have something bad to say, don't say anything at all.
  19. I can't quite place him, but our next coach is sure to look like this..... Trilogy completed
  20. Coach Tom Penders collapsed on the court the other day. At first, the refs thought that he was protesting a call and gave him a technical. Soon everyone realized he needed medical attention. He was given oxygen and removed on a stretcher. Here's the kicker.....the refs refused to reverse the technical.
  21. The front page of my local Sports section today is focused on Kobe Bryant scoring 81 against the Rapetors, I mean Raptors. Isn't this overkill? It was two days ago. When will it stop? Will it be on the front page next week? Has this been mentioned here? I don't think it is getting enough play.
  22. I'm not sure what it'll be but I am sure he can explain it in 36 paragraphs or more.
  23. Sidewalk chalk washes off in the rain. You must have some extra duct tape lying around.
  24. If your wife is named Lorena, you may want to re-think parading lingerie models through Mickeyania.
  25. You said goodbye but you're still here. Was it more like au revoir?
