  1. The kid's got only eight starts. Have you ever heard of Farve, Hasselback or Brees? Yeah well they weren't exactly world-beaters early in their careers. Give the "JP sucks" a rest please, it's far too early to tell if he's a bonafide good to great NFL QB. Wanna know what's a big mistake? Our offensive line, now that's a mistake.
  2. You'd have a point if the Bills were solid at offensive line and offensive play calling. Calling for JP's head after only eight starts is an immature stance to me. Not everybody is Ben R. or Dan Marino. Sometimes all that it takes is a little patience, some real live NFL offensive lineman and intelligent playcalling to get the ball rolling. How long did Hasselback get to prove himself? JP looked great in the Miami away game and the KC game. He looked a lot better than the "veteran" defense plenty of times during those eight starts. JP has 3 things more going for him than Kelly Holcomb, a rocket arm, quick legs and youth. The Bills would be wise to see what the kid can do with a full 16 games and a great supporting cast.
  3. By insinuating that the veterans didn't play hard because Losman was the starting quarterback???? That's disgusting to me. Here's hoping that anyone who did this is no longer on the Bills next year, that includes Eric Moulds. The first ingredient of having success is that you have to want it.
  4. Oh sure, because everyone knows that the Patriot's dynasty was built on expensive free agents!
  5. Since players often follow coaches, will these guys get a look? Is Backus any good? http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=40149
  6. So then why didn't JP's starting impact London Fletchers play???? Here's a guy who's admitting he didn't play hard last year. I think this is one of the non-character guys that Marv was talking about, goodbye fat@ss.
  7. He's done a fantastic job with Matt Hasselback and he comes from a team that knows how to run the ball better than even the Steelers. The kicker is that JP has the same style of QB play that Jim Zorn had. The downside is that he's never been an offensive coordinator. http://www.seahawks.com/coaches.aspx?SecID=43&CoachID=4
  8. It'll just be that he's going to coach Jaroun instead. My thoughts are that Marv wanted a guy with head coaching experience. That Jaroun and Sherman were basically a wash, and that he was just more comfortable with Jaroun. Maybe he thinks he can coach up Jaroun which is something he would definately not be able to do with Sherman. I wasn't all that crazy about Sherman since I thought he had been riding the coatails of the previous regime and he had one of the all time great QBs to pull his butt out of the fire on numerous occasions. Just ask yourself how much Sherman's record was because of Brett Farve's and Mike Holmgren's effect on Green Bay. Is Jaroun the right guy? Who the heck knows, but I don't see anyone else that's been hired as an NFL head coach during the last couple of weeks that I'd rather have here either. Maybe he's a good fit for Buffalo after all - not respected, underdog, losing record, tough, no nonsense, decent, real kind of guy. Looks like a match to me. Can't wait for the press conference, should be a real doosey. I feel sorry for Dick Jaroun right now, he's the man who's in charge of turning our team around and it looks like he's gonna be thrown into the gutter by the fans before he even gets started. I'll support ya Dick, because I wasn't all that thrilled about having Haz or Sherman in the first place.
  9. football? Who ever they get in here as the coach I hope that Marv will find the guy that can get their competitive juices flowing again. Remember how pumped our players were and enthusiastic they played when they had Marv shouting "where would you rather be..."? This team HAS talent. We saw what they can do when they put their hearts into their work like in the Bengal game. I don't know anything about any of the coaches they've interview but I do hope we get the guy that will make football a fun game again for the players.
  10. I know this is pure fantasy, but I'd really like to have both Williams/DE and NGata/DT on our team in 2006. Possibly putting McGahee, Clements and/or the 2006/2007's draft picks on the block, what would the Jets take for their #4 pick? They don't have a lot of cap money so there may be a chance they're willing to deal it away. If they'd take it I'd seriously consider giving them McGahee, our 2nd round pick and one of our 3rds. I'd even consider throwing in a pick or two next year. After this I'd try to get Priest Holmes from KC for Nate Clements (sign and trade). BTW, I know this won't happen. I just remember what that Cornellious Bennett trade did to this team, I'm looking for something like that this offseason.
  11. Yeah I've heard of google. Do you know what a middle finger turned up means?
  12. I've got a mac...what's VLC? Never heard of it before.
  13. Yup. We can argue what's the smarter move and in the end both be right or wrong. I just see no way the Jets will be picking an offensive lineman when they know Curtis' wheels are gone and they have no cap money for a top runner. We'll see.
  14. 7 of the top 10 rushers in the NFL this year were first round picks. Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown, both first rounders in 2005, had fantastic rookie seasons and look like franchise backs. I don't think the Jets will want to risk taking the 5th best runningback hoping he's the next Tiki Barber. New York likes it's stars and a star runningback is what they will eventually go for. When they see how deep the draft is in offensive lineman they'll know they can snag a good one with the second pick.
  15. Maybe because it'd be smarter for them to get a franchise back with the fourth pick overall. The Jets know that one of the OTs like Winston will fall to the in the second. Do you think one of the top runningbacks will be there for them in the second round? Didn't think so, I rest my case.
  16. The Jets will pick a runningback with that pick (Williams or White). They need a threat there and they don't have the cap dollars to get a free agent RB. Everyone knows Curtis' time has run out. No way do they pick an offensive lineman with that first pick.
  17. So now JP Losman is a young QB with no talent? Unfreakinbelievable.
  18. ...at One Bills Drive yet?
  19. So how many starts does Omar get to prove himself? This team has massive offensive line problems, they need to get down to the business of building a real NFL line.
  20. No tracking down officials where they live? Great! How are we football fans gonna get our kicks now.
  21. No. Losman knows he had a part in the teams bad year, but he's not stupid enough to buy into what you're suggesting. JP had to play QB behind TD's JV offensive line he built. JP was yanked by MM the first sign the team was heading for losses with him at QB instead of showing faith and letting him win the games and win over his teamates. Do I have to mention the defense? Didn't think so.
  22. Imagine if his name was Dick.
  23. If we're looking for a smart football mind then maybe we should look at someone within our reaches. He may not want to be a HC anymore but Dick LeBeau was the smartest man in the RCA dome on Sunday and I know that Mr. Brady doesn't play well when he's being knocked around.
  24. Like I said, McGahee could stay here in lew of draft picks being offered to Green Bay. Given the two unknowns (Brett's 2 year performance vs JP's development) I'd go with Brett. Lightning in a bottle theory. and if we still have JP, I'll back him fully. Unlike his teamates.
  25. I don't, maybe they trade draft picks (#2 and #4 this year) instead. I'm throwing this possibility out there in case Green Bay is ready to go with the youth movement and completely rebuild. That team had little talent this past season and I think that Favre was maybe trying to hard. 29 interceptions is startling, but what if he still has 2 years left if given the right pieces? I could see him having a 24 TD 14 interception season with the Bills, and I'd take that in a heart beat.
