  1. What player and agent in their right heads would already agree to a contract and team before hearing all offers for that player? None. Especially the most sought after FA player. This report is a complete fabrication.
  2. Those Bills Superbowl years are a mere spec on the horizon. Both teams suck right now and it's sad that we even care who sucks worse. I'm just excited about the new regime, free agency, the draft and to see once and for all if JP can step up for this team in 2006.
  3. Both teams had the same pitiful 5-11 record in 2005. The Cards had the eigth best defense, the Bills had the 29th best defense. Both teams have horrible offenses but I want to see you argue that we're better than any NFL team on offense (ok maybe we're better than Detroit). Reality check time, as of now we're just as bad if not worse than the Cardinals.
  4. And this differs from the Bills how? The Bills suck just as bad as the Cards do.
  5. You do know that McCown's a 4 year player with 22 starts under his belt and a career player rating of 72? You do know that right? Josh is a known failure as a starter, at least JP Losman is still in the unknown stage with only 8 starts. I'm not understanding this clammoring for Josh McCown at all.
  6. According to NFL.com the Rams were the 5th worst in rushing defense last season. Hello red flag!
  7. 4 starting caliber LBs. This is a LB rich draft also. Does anyone think that we'll be making the big switch? If this is the case we need to somehow get Supermario.
  8. ...into a low 1st, four 2nds and a 3rd? http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/9272044 We could get the center Nick Mangold in the first, then go to town in the second! I say get two more offensive lineman and two defensive linemen. Talk about a youth movement in the trenches. Plus you're not putting all your eggs in one basket with the 8th overall pick.
  9. The Bills will be making a huge mistake if they don't make an A+ effort getting LeCharles Bentley in a Bills uniform. This guy will come here if they pay him enough. It's obvious we aren't going to getting a stud offensive lineman in the draft so the Bills absolutely HAVE to get Bentley if they want to improve the worst line in the league. I wouldn't care if the Bills pay him 6 or 7 million a year.
  10. You take the guy who's in shape. Davis is the next NFL freak. Ngata looked very blubbery to me.
  11. Hate to tell ya, but V. Davis is the only sure thing in this draft.
  12. Hearing that he was listening to his ipod at halftime instead of listening to his coaches makes me want to blow a gasket. Let the chopping block continue to whack away...
  13. ...when he threw the hissy fit in the Miami game. I was a huge Moulds fan before that happened. I'm sorry, but we need some players here that care about "winning", not about stats, creating locker room drama or stabbing teamates in the back. Thanks for the memories Eric, but it's time for you to go. It's hard to see a Bills player who was so classy for so long leave like a punk. Please go to a team like Philly because I want to see you try blaming Donovan McNabb or Andy Reid when you drop a few balls in front of that supportive crowd.
  14. He's about to get an 8 million dollar pay cut. Plus, no more excuses for Eric if he goes the the Eagles.
  15. If I were the Bills coaching staff I'd give JP Losman a DVD of Tom Brady's passing attempts the last four seasons. I'd also give him a DVD of John Elway's, Brett Favre's and Kurt Warner's passing attempts of their last two best seasons. Showing Losman what he did wrong this past season is fine but he needs to see what real time decision making looks like from the best guys in the NFL over the past 10 years. As for Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish, they needs to study up on Steve Smith's techniques. Give them a DVD of all of Smith's plays for the entire 2005 season. For McGahee, I'd give him a DVD of Walter Payton. Show him why the stiff arm was and is still a fierce weapon for a runningback. Payton never had a good line yet still had an HOF career. I really hope these guys are primed to help this franchise turn the corner towards another run of glory years.
  16. You can't fawn over the Packers because they picked up a 49er guy even though they made the playoffs 5 of the last 6 years with their old coach, then turn around and fry the Bills after they were willing to give Malarkey another year. Your post doesn't clear up Cross' comments one bit. The Bills may be a mess but Malarkey had a lot to do with the mess seeing how he lost his team and was clearly over his head by mid season. Enough of blaming RW, how about Malarkey look in the mirror. He was the head coach, right?
  17. Listening to NFL radio on Sirius Randy offered these thoughts about the Green Bay and Buffalo coaching changes: He thought the hiring of Mike MaCarthy was a great, well timed move for the Green Bay Packers. About an hour later he lambasted the Bills for the hiring of Dick Jaroun and said that Mike Malarkey was a very good coach who didn't deserve the treatment he was getting in the Bills front office. He said that the Bills deserve the complete mess they're in. Mike Sherman - 5 playoff appearances in the last six years. Fired by the Green Bay Packers for a coach no one's ever head of. Mike Malarkey - No playoff appearances in two years with a team that played like they wanted him fired. Mike resigned from his position after getting the backing of the Bills front office. Bills hire an experienced head coach who was a former head coach of the year. Randy Cross should be fired for using his job as a bully pulpit. What a jerk.
  18. You want a stat? Kelly Holcomb: 4 interceptions vs NY Jets. You're using this past season's stats to downgrade Losman's chances, however the 2005 stats means nothing in terms of who'll the Bill's starting QB in 2006. The 2006 Training camp will determine that. The way I see it going is that Losman will be a man on a mission in his thrid year. After a full year and a half of fans and teamates questioning his ability he'll come in here bringing his A game and bringing all the bravado along the way. Holcomb becomes the undisputed backup after his beatdown during the competition.
  19. How about Alex Van Pelt for the job?
  20. Trash JP all you want but you must have missed the final game of the season where Kelly Holcomb threw 4 interceptions against the 4-12 Jets. I love how the JP haters still are hanging their hats on Holcomb being our starter next year, it's too funny to me. You're so wrong here, Jaroun said ALL positions will be open for competition and he won't be going back on his word. With another offseason of coaching Losman will no doubt beat out Holcomb, unless they bring in Kerry Collins expect #7 to be starting at QB.
  21. The post above said he's the offensive coordinator at NC State. I checked the fins site and he's no where to be found under coaching staff.
  22. Apparently he didn't notice Pittsburg's winning game plan at Indy. Hey Dick, sometimes you need to attack when the defense is loading up the line.
  23. Wow, I forgot about Trestman! Oakland had a great offense until they faced Tampa in the Superbowl. I do hope he's on Jaroun's radar.
  24. I actually agree with this plan of action because I have faith that Losman will beat Holcomb out. I'm also glad to hear that many here on this board haven't given up on the kid. If JP does win it the coaching staff better not pull him during a damn game though. Have faith he can pull it out. They keep telling us there's 60 minutes in a game, well then don't panic and let the kid have the full 60 minutes.
  25. I'm embarrassed at how many fans here have already given up on this kid. Post after post I read how it's Kelly Holcombs job or another journeymen veteran's yet to be acquired. Kelly Holcomb sucks, he's had 10 years in this league to put it all together and he finishes with 4 turnovers against the Jets to close out our miserable season. I have no doubts that Losman will surpass Holcomb in training camp. What I find amazing is the amount of weak-kneed hand wringers here who can't stomach the development of a young QB. Y'all must be from the Mike Malarkey School of QB Handling. Suck it up and deal with it, this team is not going to the Superbowl next season. I know it may come as a shock to some of you but it had to be put out there. None of us know if JP Losman is the next Brett Favre/Matt Hasselback or if he's a genuine first round flop. However with that said, the last thing this team should do right now is to not give him the chance next season. Fans and players need to put down their Superbowl pipe dreams for the coming season and get behind Losman. This kid has talent and skills, before we see him in the playoffs in another team's uniform for the next 10 seasons the Bills organization needs to give him the chance in 2006 to show he's the man.
