Sounded very confident. Looking forward to proving the rumors and doubters wrong tomorrow. Bengals are flying him to Cincinnati after the workout. (now that's interesting) Mentioned the Bills and Vikings when asked about teams interested in him. ...just thought I'd mention since it hadn't been posted yet.

How about drafting all weapons with first three picks?

That's a very jerky thing to insinuate pal. Yes, there are differences but you're clearly wrong in saying they're the opposite player of one another. First of all, if Sweed, Kelly, Hardy and Manningham all did not have BIG problems I would have never even suggested drafting Nelson. Secondly, I see a lot of similar attributes of the two players who YES, according to you both happen to be "white"... Both are slot/possession receivers who aren't good enough for full time #2 starter status. Both are team first, non-premadonas. Both run great routes. Both have great hands. Both play very hard. Opposite? Not quite. Who freaking cares that they're both white anyways, I certainly don't. I was one of the few last year who was demanding the Bills draft the rumored "thug" player Marshawn Lynch when I felt a smear job was being done to him here at TSW and in the media before the draft. I smelled b_ll sh_t, and I was right. You need to relax, get off your politically correct high-horse and grab a buddy. -

I know it sounds surprising but I think he's going higher than expected. I think teams are tired of these "problem child" receivers and when you get a chance at a guy like Nelson who actually has the skills and then see what the Pats did with Wes Welker, it's easy to see why he'd go in the second round. Why don't the Bills think about taking him, I say. I see no way he lasts till the third with all that's wrong with the top WRs in this draft. -

I think Nelson is going in the second round. It's be nice to get him in the third but I don't see it happening. -
After seeing so much ridiculous drama going on with Kelly's leg, Sweed's wrist, Hardy's domestic issues I am really starting to warm up to Devin Thomas in the first (yes, I was certainly opposed before). Would we be passing on possible all pros in Harvey at DE or Albert at OG? It's possible. But neither is going to help were it is desperately needed the most, getting pressure off of Evans. As someone said here before, DE's are as much of a crap shoot as any other position. If Harvey was a sure thing, then yes you take him. But he's not a sure thing. Albert would hurt, but I think we maybe should just go all out at our most pressing needs early on in this draft. What if we drafted Devin Thomas (to be our #2 opposite Evans) in the first, followed that up with Jordy Nelson (to be our slot) in the second, then went and drafted John Carlson or Brad Cottam in the third? Boom, boom, boom. Problem solved thank you and good night. Bring on the Pats baby. In the fourth we could then draft a very talented and versatile offensive lineman like Jeremy Zuttah from Rutgers who's stock has been rising steadily. Then find the best of the leftover defensive players with the remaining picks in the 2008 draft.

Why did you not include the guy that is the most probable of all to be drafted by the Bills? Malcom Kelly.

Should Buffalo trade Losman to move up in the draft?

Do you think you're a tough guy? I'm being serious. -
I thought our run blocking up the middle last season was very poor. This is not good at all for a cold weather team like us. Plus, Lynch looked as if he was getting beat up every time he crossed the LOS. After watching that video and hearing such lavish praise about Albert from Mayock, it got me to wonder if Butler would be better served to us as a solid back up Guard. You're right, there's no such thing as a can't miss anybody. But that video sure looks awesome to me.

I hadn't ever seen a freaking Cardinal game in my life with L. Fitzgerald as the starting WR. I was wrong and admitted as much after tuning in to see him that week. Yes Gordio, even I can make a mistake. You must get over this and try to move on with your life my friend. -

I made up for it with my dead-on Superbowl prediction. -

I never thought you could get anymore annoying but you've managed it. It's kind of hard for people to take you seriously when you scale the heights of contradiction like you did here.... "That act includes bouncing passes, coming up small in big games time & time again, not being able to read a defense even though he has been in the league for four years & basically doing the same boneheaded mistakes over & over again." "...shows that you feel the need to take shots at Edwards everytime you are defending Losman." BTW, little tirades are what Losman haters like you know best. Frankly, you're the angriest bunch of a-holes on the internet. -
I'm starting to have concerns about the health issues with some of the top WRs. Waiting to see what M. Kelly looks like on the 9th especially. If the Bills were looking for a can't miss player at 11, Branden Albert looks like he could be the ticket. Mayock doesn't even think he'll get out of the top ten but no one else has talked about this player (if they have I haven't seen it, sorry), who looks like he has pro bowl ability. Check out the video below and you'll see. I know many here are for drafting defense if they don't go WR, but what about getting a guy like Albert on our weak middle runblocking offensive line? Then try to deal up to get Hardy or stay put in the second and draft someone high risk/high reward like Bowman. It sure would be nice to have a early eighties Dallas offensive line in the making. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...ndenalbert.html http://www.nfl.com/videos - NFLTA: Top 7 players

Should Buffalo trade Losman to move up in the draft?
1billsfan replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Losman isn't going anywhere. The reason I believe this is because there's been no stories, none, about a possible trade. Usually when a player is going to be traded you start to hear stories that are floated out there to the press by the team that is looking to deal a player. There are "sanctioned" leaks. There has been none of this going on in the last couple of months. Now the question to ask is why he isn't going anywhere. Here is my opinion on the situation: 1. Losman has very little trade value due to his disappointing season in 2007. Other GMs in the league see a player who obviously wants to start, yet this player has no choice but to play out his final year of his contract to achieve getting anything close to a big payday and extension. So why would other GMs want to put their QB situation in limbo like that for a QB that for whatever reason regressed last season but who wants to be the starter? The answer is they wouldn't and aren't going to. GMs want to either sell a QB as the starter or as the capable veteran backup. Neither option is going to fly because A) The rest of the league, media and fans see losman as a loser, and B) Losman is does not want to be the "capable veteran backup". 2. Trent Edwards is fragile until proven otherwise. Jauron and company are not willing to create a new hole knowing full well that that someone will most probably have to replace Edwards as the starter at some point because it's a slim chance he's starting 16 games. 3. Losman may be seen as a loser by 90 percent of the league and Bills fans and media, but the hard fact is that Fairchild was a huge anchor around Losman's and this team's neck. JP's got more physical talent than Edwards (something that can't be teached) and the mental part of his game was short circuited by Fairchild and Jauron choking the life out of the offense. Seeing Edwards fall on his face when the "play it safe checkdown" game came to a crashing halt, shook Jauron and the Bills front office enough so that the only way they would part with Losman in '08 would be with a high draft pick. A high draft pick that's never going to come, see #1. I still think that Losman is a lot better QB than the "angry" Edwards majority (it's weird that they're so angry when Edwards is the unquestioned starter) thinks, and Edwards has yet to prove much of anything other than he can deliver a quick checkdown pass and beat the worst teams in the league. I'll need to see a big arm and stamina in 2008 before I'm sold on the guy as so many here are. Football's a strange game where anything is possible (see Giants 2007 season), so who knows what will happen with the QB situation this coming season. I want the best QB starting for the Bills, I'm just still not so sure that Losman isn't the best QB here. -
PFW on Losman in "The Way We Hear it"

WTF? No where has anyone said that they should keep him or start him because he did community service work. You've reached a new level for anti-Losman supporter propaganda. Also, you guys seem very obsessed with his ass and who has man-love for him. What's really up with this fellas? You guys never want to talk about real football. Someone brings up Trent's horrendous performances the last three games you guys start name calling. Someone thinks that Trent's lollipop passes against Miami pale in comparison to JP's career rocket TD bombs to Evans, and you get offended. You guys talk about JP's showdown failure against Jacksonville and don't care that the putrid A-Train was our starting runningback that day. Sorry but you guys have gone overboard in your confidence for Edwards and your distain for Losman. There were very many valid excuses as to why Losman did not build on his 2006 season. In this world of two second sound bites and blanket absolute statements, I'm not surprised it's become a pitch-forked wielding mob around here for Losman. Just remember how many NFL analysts were falling over themselves predicting the Patriots Superbowl win (wrong), these were the same analysts that were dismissing the Superbowl winning quarterback Eli Manning as a bust in the middle of the season (wrong). Just remember, if so many expert NFL analysts can be dead wrong so to can the Trent mob here on a Bills message board. Relax, Trent's going to have the full 100% support over at One Bills Drive, so you all have nothing to worry about...or do you? Trent's the chosen one, why are you so freaking worried about Losman or Bills fans that think he's better than Edwards? It's very bizarre that you guys are so riled up when in fact Edwards is the unquestioned starter. -

Sorry but the more you and Mike formerly from Florida post, the more I'm convinced I'm right about Losman. I bet you even have the respectful Trent diehards starting to get a bit worried. -

Dumb and classless is no way to go through life son. -
The 2001 Bears were #1 in defense that season with 48 turnovers (interceptions and fumble recoveries combined). They also had 48 sacks that year. In contrast the Bills in 2007 had 24 sacks and a combined total of 38 turnovers. I have a feeling the reason the 2001 Bears reached #11 in scoring had a lot to to with them having extremely short fields for their offense to go to work on.

Reading comprehension not your strongest suit, is it. I fully understand your anger and inability to have a disagreement without name calling.

Bull sh__. Please show me where I bashed Trent. I don't recall ever bashing the guy and if I ever did it was just to take a jab at the ruthless Losman bashers. The Losman bashing at TSW is a thousand times the level of the so-called Trent bashing buddy. Give us a break.

What???? So now someone calling "Trent Edwards is a much better QB than JP Losman" a myth is now being described by you as bashing Edwards? That's so damn laughable, you clearly need to get some thicker skin.
