  1. You are indeed mentally challenged. This is the quote from the article... "Asked whether Turner PREFERS the Titans or Bills, Cook said: "He just wants to go play. I THINK HE LIKES TENNESSEE, but we'll have to see how much Tennessee likes him.'' If you read that as being "nothing" then so be it. I read that AS IT READS...which is given the choice, Turner would rather play football in Tennessee. BTW, it's best not to tell someone to grow up when you're clearly having a spastic internet temper tantrum. What, are you going to hold your breath next? Get bent buddy.
  2. I'm going by history and I also included a couple of Bills (Johnson, Bledsoe), who were second string players on the teams they were coming from, that the Bills traded away 1st rounders for and frankly got nothing but years of grief in return. I have a very bad feeling that Turner will bring us down the same disastrous road. I know it sounds out there, but it is a safer bet to go with Peterson or Lynch. I firmly believe both players have better "game" than Mr. 6.6 yards per carry. The other downside is making the Chargers (who will very good for years to come), that much harder to beat. They will actually get the receiver (the only known hole of theirs) they've been praying for! Not a smart thing to do in my book. You build through the draft like Polian has always done and has always been successfull at.
  3. The truth will come when out when these runningbacks start playing regular season games. So what you have stated here is more of an opinion. My opinion is that the Bills need to draft either Peterson or Lynch, not Willis. You can have your thoughts that Lynch is not a franchise back, but his college stats, his size, and the fact he's run a sub 4.5 forty tell a different story. He caught 4 TD passes in 2006 and had over 30 receptions. When rushing with the ball he has mad moves, which will translate very well to the pro game. What's crazy is thinking that JP and his receivers will have anythng but a poor season without a true running threat. But again, that's still just my opinion.
  4. You want the Bills to trade away a 1st round pick and cough up big bucks for a bench warmer? No sir, you are indeed the moron in this argument. Thank God you are not the Bills GM.
  5. Hershal Walker Rob Johnson Drew Bledsoe Alvin Harper Peerless Price Trading picks for other team's players has a way of biting you in the ass. Please Marv, don't do it. Turner is a 2 down back that has just 7 catches, 5 touchdowns and has only averaged 5 carries per game average in the NFL. Both Peterson and Lynch will have better careers than this guy. Count on it.
  6. I have very strong opinions regarding players and player agents after going through the Wills McGahee/Drew Rosenhuas dog and pony show. As far as I'm concerend ANY mention, in ANY media whether it's the player or his agent, of a player's preference to choose another team over the Bills and it's "don't let the door hitcha where the good lord splitcha" time. I am so done with this crap, it's not even funny. It's time Bills fans have a "zero tolerance" policy on this kind of garbage.
  7. That's ok moron. Even gullible gus' are allowed opinions. Make sure you ask Turner for some lipstick before he does you-know-what to you.
  8. What do I expect? How about saying that Michael Turner is looking for a team that wants him to be their starting runningback and to be paid accordingly. An allegiance that's made against Buffalo whether by him or his agent is a huge red flag. I sure hope that Marv saw this article before he makes his decision. Any hint of this sh-- and it's game over as far as I'm concerned. Draft a Buffalo Bill runningback, not an ex-Charger Titan lovin blankity blanker.
  9. Am I the only one who read this snipet at the end of the Tennessean article????... "Asked whether Turner prefers the Titans or Bills, Cook (Turner's agent) said: "He just wants to go play. I think he likes Tennessee, but we'll have to see how much Tennessee likes him.'' Please Michael Turner supporters, have some dignity. After the Willis McGahee fiasco, why on God's green earth would you want another runningback that wishes he were playing elsewhere? Seriously, it's time Bills fans get behind either drafting Peterson or Lynch.
  10. Wrong place, wrong time? He was at his sister's graduation. Lynch and the girl?..."Alameda County Deputy District Attorney who specializes in domestic violence cases declined to press charges, citing a lack of evidence and "grave inconsistencies" in the alleged victim's accusations" As for being not being "too bright", does anyone here remember Travis Henry? Heck, Nate Clements sounds like a moron but the guy still played his ass off. Make no mistake, the Bills will strongly consider Lynch at #12. As for the guy who doesn't want me to discuss Lynch? Put a sock it it, you're not the boss here and this isn't Communist Russia. Freedom of Speech lives here at TSW baby. BTW, Firstandgoal has had no problems whatsoever defending why he left out Lynch.
  11. Dude, I hope you're never up for jury duty...WOW. There were two instances that were tagging Lynch as having character issues and both instances have been discredited. Unless you count being shot at in a case of mistaken identity and being the victim of extortion as character flaws. It's pretty low that you're now comparing him to Jones. Please either give us some credible character issues regarding Lynch or give up your propoganda campaign. Lynch is the perfect runningback for Steve Fairchilds offense. He's the only back in the draft that has shown the ability to be a great rusher and pass catcher in college. I'm not saying he's the next Mashall Faulk or Thurman Thomas, but the same type of skills are clearly there. I won't be unhappy if the Bills end up selecting Willis or Peterson, I'm just being a realist. Peterson is flat out gone before we pick. Between Willis and Lynch, Lynch is the clear need, and I feel the runningback we've been waiting for since Thurman Thomas left town. For you to not even include him in the conversation is basically burying your head in the sand.
  12. Kudos to you...I didn't catch that, but Brandt apparently does have him in the 11-20 range: http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/10033502 As for Kirwin, come on, are you as gullible as he is? It's common knowledge that teams and GMs lie their asses off as to who they like, who they don't like, and who they think's going to fall. If there were ever a time not to trust information it's when that information comes out of the owners meeting before the draft. Instead of listening to what some ESPN analyst (another p_ss poor source of information btw) has to say, why don't you listen to what Lynch's coaches and teamates have to say about his talent and leadership. Again, Peterson will not be availible when the Bills pick and Angelo Crowell is currently our MLB. You have no idea on whether the Bills will take Marshawn Lynch. Lynch is the logical choice here, and I hope Marv is feeling the same way too.
  13. So since Pat "Looney Tunes" Kirwin drops him out of his first round he's officially a reach at 12? Pat Kirwin is the biggest flake covering the NFL. The guy changes his mind constantly. This is the same guy who was gaga over Kelly Holcomb being the starter for the Bills, this is who you want the Bills to take their drafting cues??????? Gil Brandt has Marshawn Lynch at #15 on his Nifty Fifty, and that's about as credible of a player evaluator as you can find in the NFL. Many teams have out-thought themselves regarding the stock up and stock down method of choosing players. I'm sure there are plenty of teams that would have chosen Shaun Alexander or Larry Johnson in a heartbeat but were scared off by the thought of their local media screaming that those players were huge reaches. There's no doubt in my mind that this stuff enters into it. I'm sure even Houston was talked out of drafting Vince Young after all of the vultures had left his dead carcass after going from the penthouse (unreal performance in the Nation Championship Game) to the outhouse (the NFL predraft season). If there was one player who was dragged through the mud with people questioning his talent and his smarts it was Vince Young. However, if going after so called reaches were such a bad thing then have you forgotten who the Bills selected in the first round last year? That would be the "biggest reach in the draft", labeled as such by all of the NFL media national and local. So please don't pay too much attention at whose stock is where or what mock drafts are saying. It's a fools game game and thankfully one in which our GM won't play.
  14. Simple answer, Marshawn Lynch. Angelo Crowell is our starting MLB and Adrian Peterson will be long gone before the Bills pick. It's not hard when you break it down.
  15. Due to the recent airline travel problems that Michael Turner is apparently having, and the risk of repeating myself... The Buffalo Bills and Marshawn Lynch still equals a perfect match. Don't try to over think it, it's simply meant to be.
  16. This is the first time I've ever been happy to hear about airline travel problems. You Turner people will be happy too when Marshawn Lynch gets the 2007 Offensive Rookie of the Year Award as a Buffalo Bill.
  17. Gee, looks like yet another runningback who has goosebumps at the thought being a Buffalo Bill... McGahee Dillon Turner This excuse has horsesh!t written all over it. Yet another reason people should dump all of the "we want Turner" talk and embrace Marshawn Lynch as the next Bills runningback. .
  18. Marv did not become a Hall of Fame coach by being a guy who was afraid of taking chances and risks. Don't be fooled, Marv digs star players. He had a whole bunch of them here during the Superbowl years. Marv also is a history buff and certainly remembers the biggest reason why the Bills made four straight Superbowls, it was Thurman Thomas. So your "incredibly unlikely" description is way off base regarding the Bills going after Lynch or Peterson (the marquee RBs I'm sure you were refering to). Take a look at Marshawn Lynch's 2006 stats (1356 rushing yards, 11 rushing TDs, 34 receptions, 4 TD receptions): http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/players/118950/gamelog Damn if those aren't Thurman Thomas type of numbers. Incredibly unlikely? It's more likely than you realize.
  19. I've seen plenty of Cowboy games. More than enough to know why Dallas is/was trying to trade him away. I want him no where near a Buffalo Bills uniform.
  20. You're comparing Julius freaking Jones to Tiki Barber? Sheeez, just when I've thought I've seen it all here and then I have to see this. Julius Jones is a below average runningback whose team wants to cut him loose because, unlike Tiki Barber, he's not getting the job done. You may wish the Bills to take on the "Julius Jones Reclamation Project", I just happen to strongly disagree that plan of action.
  21. Don't shoot the messanger. I'm just giving fair warning on what will happen if the Bills go the RBBC route. If you think otherwise, that's fine.
  22. What you're failing to take into account are the ramifications of what the RBBC will do to the Bills passing game, mainly the effect it will have on JP Losman's progress. With Willis McGahee the Bills were faced with stacked defenses (yes it's true) to protect against the run, and it worked. With the RBBC approach, the defenses will do the reverse and take away the best part of the Bills offense, JP to Lee Evans. This is the falling domino that many of the RBBC proponents are not taking into account. Without a true running threat, Losman and the Bills offense will be in deep deep trouble. You may feel that defenses will respect the Bills running game with the the mix of veterans and second or third tier RBs from this draft, but I'm here to tell you they will not. IMHO, the Bills first need is a true threat at the RB position. Then after that they will absolutely need a replacement for Spikes (Crowell is slated for the MLB and Ellis is the other starting OLB). They can then use their 2nd round pick and one of their 3rd round picks on OLBs and have those two rookies battle for the starter and backup positions. This is the only way to protect JP and Lee Evans from a season full of frustration and possible regression, while still being able to fill the hole at OLB. Draft Lynch or Peterson in the 1st, then pick two OLBs like Everett, Durant, Alexander, Black or Waters in rounds 2 and 3.
  23. Hence his failure at being a starting runningback. The reason he wasn't in there was because he didn't have a nose for the end zone, which was why the Cowboys pulled him in the red zone in favor of the more dynamic Barber. Which leads to the question of why would the Bills be interested in a RB that's no good in the red zone? It's silly to even consider a trade for Jones. The guy is below average and very close to the "sucks" label.
  24. How would having two NFL starting runningback failures be considered having a "great RB tandem"? No offense to A-Train but he never lived up to becoming a good starting NFL runningback. That doesn't mean he's a bad person. In fact he seems like a good person and I'm kind of glad he's our backup runningback. As for Julius Jones, I don't get the fascination. The guy had never lived up to being able to carry the load in Dallas. 16 TDs in 35 starts tells me all I need to know as to why Dallas wants to trade him to another team. Plus he has 0 touchdowns receiving which is pathetic for a RB with that many starts. Sorry, but I would have to consider that tandem to be a very bad one.
  25. Sorry, no joke. The Bills and Lynch are a match made in football heaven. Choosing between Peterson and Lynch would be a very tough decision. I just have the feeling that Buffalo would do better with Lynch. The reason I think this is that Lynch has proven to be the more all around threat (running AND catching). Peterson looks to be more of the two down variety of back, advantage Lynch. As for football toughness, from everything I've read it seems that Lynch is relentless in his playing style. Peterson just seems like more of a finesse type of guy, again advantage Lynch. For homerun ability it's advantage Peterson. So there you have it...I'm throwing my support, even if Peterson were still there, for Lynch. Toughness and all around ability would be a better fit for the Bills needs. If Peterson's there, see how badly Green Bay wants him. The Chargers will not be trading away Turner for a third round pick. Nor should they. They are a team that's on the cusp of winning it all and they'd be stupid to mess with this success for what a third round pick might garner them. It's just not worth it when you are that close to the prize. As for Turner the player, I'd much rather have the all around threat that Lynch provides then Turner. I also think that Lynch is tougher and is what I'm looking for in a starting runningback. Turner is another two down back and someone who's not worth trading a first or second round pick. Add to this is the fact that we'd be helping out the Chargers, who are great at drafting players, which is something the Bills should not be doing. Now if by some strange events Turner was being offered for a third round pick, then that is something that would be worth looking into. Having said that, I still want the Bills to be the ones who end up with Marshawn Lynch. I think he's going to be a knock down drag out brass knuckles player for whoever gets him.
