  1. Not a stretch at all, he played some safety last year, and he is a 9th year CB, so it's COMMON for CBs to transition to Safety at that age. With the two CB positions likely already filled, and one of the safety spots experiencing weakness unless Donnie Henderson really coaches up Duke, Meeks, or Rambo, it would actually FORCE Graham to Safety. And look at the Bills' upcoming free agents, and the money we need to free up to keep (Cordy, Darius, Gilmore and Bradham), and players like McKelvin will find himself priced way off the Bills' roster, as Whaley said the middle class will suffer, at the pre draft PC. So, that thins out CB. I would rather bring in a guy from a strong CB class and give him a year under Henderson before he's needed next year. We can get fair production from a June 1st cut OLor 3rd rounder, but a guy who can be a top 2 perimeter CB, which we will need in 2016 to keep our pass rush effective and make the big money we just spent on Kyle and Hughes, and are about to spend on Darius, worth it.

I think this team is going to start leaning heavily on Duke Williams the way they did on Searcy imo

  2.

This all assumes that Garrett Grayson is a sure thing...

It slices both ways, what if the Bills take Grayson, who then turns out to be a flop, and they miss out on a qualify DL that could replace Kyle or Mario Williams in the future? You're fine with the Bills drafting Grayson because you think everything will turn out fine. What if Grayson sucks and EJ sucks, what then? It's a wasted pick that could have been Player X.

Also, the Bills have holes, you are assuming the Bills make it through the season injury free. Like I said in my previous post the Bills have 3 OT on the team. They also don't have a backup center. Those are holes, fairly large ones if an injury occurs.

We do not have the offensive linemen to make Romans's scheme work....we HAVE to start there

  3. This is so much more complicated then most of you are presenting it......

The problems with this team did NOT just reside with Buddy Nix.....and I know that this is going to sound like a slam at Ralph Wilson (god bless him) but it is not

NOTHING WAS GOING TO CHANGE....until ownership changed for this team.....it needed to start fresh from the top and work its way down

Buddy Nix was a part of that old group.....there were mistakes by him and there was success......but all anyone will be able to see is the win loss record....and that is their RIGHT as bills fans. Some of us like to look a little deeper into the situation.

Look at what is happening with the bills right now.....it has more to do with just with having the most signing bonus money put out by any NFL team it is

    - Increased scouting

    - More money spent on coaches

THOSE THINGS CANNOT BE DISCOUNTED.....they really cannot....Buddy Nix worked with what he had to work with.

  4. Preston Prown was SUCH a good pick.....a real feather in our Whaley's cap.

For all the crap Doug Whaley takes......most of his draft picks have been solid....it took him a while to find the right coach fit but he has it......and he has the 5th richest owner in the NFL backing him up.

His game speed really impressed me, so I decided to compare his speed with Kiko's.

    40 times H Mid L

    Kiko: 4.85, 4.74, 4.64

    PB: 4.86, 4.78, 4.68

    Not much difference there.

What is interesting is that while they have nearly the same measurables.......Brown is much more thick and shows a much better ability to shed and tackle......

Kiko is a exellent instinctive player......but he plays small on the field......too often especially towards the end of the year Kiko was getting washed out of plays because of overpursuit

While that sometimes leads to plays....it also creates big wholes. When you see Brown play....is is very fundamentally sound......he does NOT overpursue

  5. I would throw Bryce Brown into that as well......

This is the first piece Rodent has done that I can actually read without wanting to claw my own eyes out.....

Personally I think that this process has already began

    - I think Manny Lawson could go and be replaced by Randel Johnson.....Randel Johnson started off slow.....but seemed to get better every week and really could fly around the field.....he had some injury problems in his first year

    - McKelvin replaced by Ross Cockrell.......McKelvin is a excellent ST's returner...but we appear to have that covered....Cockrell has that size, physical that you look for in a corner

    - You also have guys like Robey....who flat out make plays....and releasing McKelvin opens the door for more playing time for Robey

  6. I dont know a thing about hockey......let me start with that.....

Eichel seems like a guy that could star for the sabers for years and years......and you didnt have to trade any other players or picks to get him......

It is in fact a "team" and the better players you have at all the postitions the more a team will win.

  7. In his prior stint here, Lee tried to "fix" Fitz and I thought he actually regressed. It was almost like you could see the wheels turning as he thought about technique rather being his natural gunslinger self.

Maybe E.J. will be more successful in being coached up, but I'm not sold on Lee's ability to be that guy...

The whole "teaching old dogs new tricks" things

Somehow I dont think EJ falls into this category

  8. This is a good discussion topic

One thing I would like to throw in here is overall team concept and how teams are usually not balanced....meaning one side of the ball for them is not as good as the other side at any given time.

Our defense is GREAT.....they have a legit chance to be the number 1 overall defense in the league

    AND

We have player talent on the offensive side of the ball to have this discussion.....those other teams do not. They cant. Its all on the O side of the ball.

  9. I honestly could care less what the fins do.....

It doesnt matter what our AFC East Rivals do outside of the patriots because they have a franchise QB

It doenst matter who they bring into the fins our D can and should completely shut them down......We are Tanahilla's vampire garlic

All that matters at this point....ALL that matters is whether we can manufactor points......because our D will do more then keep us in it.
