  1. Hopefully they will. If the DL looks bad to TD, why not give him a chance. A former solid player with a lot of experience. Didn't we give Oliver Gibson a try last year?
  2. I think you've nailed it right on the mark. I don't think Cieslak gets cut.
  3. Bears fans will be very optimistic.
  4. Brad Cieslak and Rashard Lee won't be cut yet. The rest I could see happening although a lot of people could be a little disapointed that you have Leonhard on there so early.
  5. I'm going with 8-8. I can see some similarties from last year translating over to this year. A poor start followed by a good finish.
  6. But clearly Orton makes plays against teams and Chad H doesn't. By week 1, Orton will be starting for the Bears while Hutch will be the teams 2nd or even third string QB.
  7. I agree. The defense will be very good, but how long can they take three and outs this season? This offense has a long way to go. The running game gets no push and the passing game seemed to rely on short passes. That doesn't exactly scare any defenses. The Bears defense is good but not great. There secondary was weak last night with the loss of Mike Brown and we still couldn't take advantage. Also our OL looked weak last night. There was no push and nobody stood out in my mind as solid. Glad it was a pre-season game, because if this was the regular season it could be trouble.
  8. Best episode in Season 5 in my opinion. I'm an avid watcher and have watched those DVD's numerous times. That's still my favorite episode in season 5.
  9. Great post. I've seen most of the game and I agree with just about everything you said. it appeared to me that Josh Reed missed the catch thrown to him but played well overall. Ron Edwards didn't do much like you said but moved well. I thought Bennie Anderson was good on the run, I know that he had a good block for the touchdown. The defense was good but not dominate. JP is still in the learning stage of his development but it is obvious he has the drive to succeed which you have to like.
  10. Well he is a smart guy isn't he? He went to Stanford, which is a hard school to get into. He got to the NFL becuase of his toughness and intelligence.
  11. BP is owned by Arabs. The first 4 are American owned
  12. This is a case where when in doubt blame the fan instead of the team. This is sick but to some Cubs fans they think that Bartman is responsible. I live in Chicago and I know first hand that this guy has gone through a lot of bad things. Innocent people don't deserve to get hasseled.
  13. Looks solid. I think the only suprise that wasn't mentioned was Brad Cieslak. I have a feeling he is going to make the team with all of the injuries at tight end.
  14. Heading into the pre season game against the Chicago Bears this week (look what unfortuantley happened with QB Rex Grossman), it shows that getting veteran QB like Holcomb was not only the best pickup of the offseason for us, it was also extremely wise by TD and company
  15. Living in Chicago, I witnessed that he wasn't very good. In fact they were quick to replace him. But he has shown tremendous improvement and according to KGB- he has improved significantly. Hoepfully he'll be another player to prove the critics and doubters wrong. He's on the right track.
  16. I remain optimist as well, but the regular season is very soon and only time will tell if a star is born.
  17. Without a top pash rusher, I would say the top 5 is much more realistic.
  18. I like what Reed said about believing in himself. That's the key. He knows that he can do it. He has the experience. He knows he had a difficult year last year. But he's not giving up. I think he'll step up and become a good #3 receiver for our ballclub.
  19. The one that comes to mind is Ted Washington for me too, now that you mentioned it. He can still plug up the middle of the running lanes so the running back can't go very far. Bruce Smith was still good the last two years in Washington.
  20. From personal experience, I can tell you that if you aren't ready to quit, then you won't. I have been sober for 4 years and plan to be the rest of my life. Finding a mate could do wonders for you. In the meantime, everytime you think of smoking a dub, maybe exercise (Run, jog) or read about something that you're interested in.
  21. If you missed it there is also one on at 2pm (CT) on Wednesday the 17th.
  22. #28- "If you come to my place we can play hide and seek."
  23. I disagree. It was time for that organization to move in a different direction. They'll draft a wide reciver with the 7th pick. Hopefully for there sake, it will be Braylon Edwards.
  24. Best quote I've read this week. TD knows what he's doing. Do you remember what our team looked like in 2001-2002 when TD took over. It was ugly. And it was because we had no money to spend. We had to build, to get through the tough times. We'll, now that were on year 4, we've got some money to spend and still a young, potentially good team. I just hope that the Pat Williams move doesn't come back and bite us.
