  1. Crud, I didn't even see D'Brick listed - - It is apparently not even enough of a possibility to perceive him as a choice.
  2. Maybe the Bills scouts agreed to only talk about QBs on camera to help heat up a draft day trade to grab the remaining QB. While I'd love to hear what they're really thinking, why on Earth would they go on air with anything honest the week before the draft?

  4. Is it too late to revive the "Cutler is great" rumors to try to help push Ferguson down to us?
  5. I definitely agree. Daimon Shelton was one of the biggest disappointments for me last year. He finished 2004 strong, and while displaying tough running on a few times last year, proved to be ineffective blocking for McGahee. I thought several times we'd be in better shape just having a track star sprint down field to draw coverage. When Shelton hit the line, he either was let through ("Toro!") or was tripped up, becoming another bodt Willis had to avoid to gain yardage. I guess what I'm saying is that Wilis is good at being patient and finding an opening. If our fullback actually created more space, I think he'd run behind a FB very well. Unless we get a major upgrade at this position, however, we're better off with another player on the field.
  6. I agree, Mangold looked very good to me. Lutui looked pretty good to me too. I agree it's hard to know what to make of it when so many shots show him blocking with help, but he looked nimble and persistent. When was the last time someone described someone on our O-line as "high-motor?" I was also impressed with Gabe Watson. He looked really big, strong and really kept forcing himself toward the play in every clip. I would love to see hime in a Bills uniform. OT: If I see an orange cat alarm clock in the next few days, I almost certainly will purchase it so I can smash it to pieces. Why would they place the same ad at the front of almost every clip? Holy crap - - it was cute the first time, but made me want to send a nasty-gram to the AMEX marketing department by the 10th time.
  7. 8. I know, we could call them the Darien Lake Bills! If the wife doesn't want to drive all the way from Albany to watch a football game, she can "road trip" with you and take half of the kids to the amusement park (the other half are with you), and give you a safe sober ride home after the game....
  9. If the goal is just to save money, you don't even need to trade down, just let the clock run out and wait until the right number of teams jump in. Boy, think about how much that would screw up Detroit and Arizona to rush through their 1st round picks!
  10. L - Sep 10 @New England W - Sep 17 @Miami L - Sep 24 N.Y. Jets W - Oct 1 Minnesota L - Oct 8 @Chicago W - Oct 15 @Detroit L - Oct 22 New England W - Nov 5 Green Bay L - Nov 12 @Indianapolis L - Nov 19 @Houston W - Nov 26 Jacksonville L - Dec 3 San Diego W - Dec 10 @N.Y. Jets L - Dec 17 Miami W - Dec 24 Tennessee L - Dec 31 @Baltimore 7-9 I almost changed my predictions to add another W since I think our faster DBs will help us, but in the end I liked the alternating WLWLWL pattern too much... My gut tells me that we will split with NE in 2007, but that we'll still end somewhere between 6-10 and 8-8
  11. Because it is a deep draft this year, it might be a better approximation to look at the players chosen, say, 20 spots higher. Thanks for the list. I thought it was interesting.
  12. The negativity has been here as long as I've read (since 2002, I think), but has definitely been getting worse the last couple years. I was going to take your poll, but I couldn't tell if I was supposed to be answering " is this normal here?" or "Are you a cranky negative toss-bag." By the way. What the heck is a whinger? A whiner? I've just started seeing this word with a G in it....
  13. Terrence McGee in 2003?
  14. I agree that Peters has a lot of promise and may continue to grow into a very good LT. Did you see the pre-season film on him last year fending off Shoebel? I'm sure who chose what rep's to capture, but he sure seemed to hold his own though he still needed to work on his technique. I am more sold on Peters at tackle than Gandy at guard. I don't think Gandy is strong enough to hold his own and get a push in the middle.
  15. And they can fine him and/or sue him to reclaim the signing bonus if he refuses to play ala Rickie.
  16. Okay, I get it now... sorry I was thick. I like the way you think. This is exactly how I wheel and deal when I play Monopoly (rarely) . I think you can trade/give away draft picks like this if you want. Certainly if you can give the Bears a draft pick for future consideration, you can give one away for past or present consideration. Now that I understand you, I'd say no, he's not worth it. Somewhere around $1.5-2 Mil per year is plenty to give up for him. Frankly I'd be tempted to throw in a 7th round pick because we're desperate, but that's the same reason we need our draft picks. We need new blood. (I'd part with a 7th since we may well get a compensatory "8th round" pick.)
  17. Hey, St. Patrick's Day is now five days ago. Time to get some sleep!
  18. Actually, what are you talking about? I was trying to make sense of your "why not just throw in a draft pick or two to sweeten the deal " proposition. The Bills are dealing with the player, not the Bears. Who would be offering who a draft pick or two? I don't get it. Maybe you're being sarcastic and saying the Bills are throwing away money and a draft pick if the Bears don't match? Though the Bears aren't entitled to a compensitory pick. Sorry, no comprende!
  19. You mean let Idonije make the draft selection instead of the Bills?
  20. Teague would make a great backup. Maybe he'll be back in Buffalo.
  21. I thought the voice was Adriana, the ghost mentioned at the very begining of last week's episode (with Carmella saying she was very afraid). So, the name Finnerty.... Coincidence it is "Finn or T?" Finn is Meadow's road to the straight life, and of course T is, well, T. Maybe he is in purgtory until he figures out if he's Finn or T.
  22. Wait, is this the 24 thread, or the Sopranos thread (or both??)
  23. Apparently I'm 11% idiot. Or does that mean I should say elven percent idoit?
  24. So there's only one good coach and one good GM each year?
  25. Gosh, I dunno, bleedinblue.... I think your analysis may be too straightforward. I think what krazykat was saying is that you have to remove each coach's best four seasons and then look at their record (duh!).
