  1. No. 8 pick last year was 4 years, 12.6 mil.
  2. If he's on the board, I think Buddy runs up himself to hand in the card. Here's why I think this: 1. We just lost a very good LG and need an immediate replacement. 2. We have below average guard depth, even though the team argues otherwise. 3. Warmack is the best guard to come out of college in a number of years and some publications have him as the best draft propect this year.(http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/cfb/43048/325/norris-updated-top-151?pg=1) 4. He's a big nasty. And Nix loves big and nasty. 5. He's an SEC guy - played in best conference and on 2 Championship teams. I would have no issue with this pick. In fact, I want it. The QBs dont seem worthy of a first and I think value can be had in rounds 2-4 of this draft. Thoughts?
  3. Class? Dude, this is a football fan board, it isn't !@#$ing church.
  4. Wow - this season needs to start soon so this speculative **** stops.
  5. What a lot of you are missing is that Ted Johnson isn't getting "in trouble." He's not being arrested. He has the right to say stupid ****, but he also needs to realize that there are repercussions for saying something like that. Like people not wanting to hire you. His main worry right now however, should be Vince Wilfork kicking the **** out him the next time he sees him. Also, would any of you throw one of your buddies or ex teammates under the bus like that, even if you knew it was true. Seems like he wanted to be a funny guy on the radio. Not the smartest thing.
  6. I have no idea why we don't try the blitz. Obviously, it doesn't matter how many we have back in our secondary. Bring some heat, Wanny.
  7. Positive - Win. Negative. - None. We won. Ugly wins are wins.
  8. What scares me the most is that our passing game is weak without CJ or Fred. Missing Nelson hurts. We like swing passes, screens, etc. And that's one place Choice is not very good. It's fine between the tackles, but doesn't give us the pass catching and run after catch that CJ and Fred do. Therefore, we need HUGE games from Stevie and Donald Jones.
  9. He is so much better than anyone else we have for returns. He's really explosive and runs north/south never east/west. I think the ST play is giving him confidence for the coverage part of his game. The kid is very athletic, just needs for it all to translate.
  10. We need him or Fred against NE. Hopefully we will have him back for the SF and AZ road games.
  11. Spiller is a big guy, he's not small. That was a freak injury. Let's hope he's not a season ender.
  12. While we all had high hopes for the first pre-season game, let's not get crazy over the results. Here is why: 1) Remember how ****ty we looked last pre-season? Remember how good we looked the first game? Game plans for pre-season are basic. We aren't opening up the playbook until week one. Especially this year against a division rival. Do you really think we will throw 16 times in a row at any point this year? 2) Other teams looked just as ****ty. I watched some of the Pats-Saints and GB-SD. All the offenses struggled as they often do early in pre-season. Rivers and Rodgers didn't look that good and either did Brady. But does that mean they won't play well during the season? Of course not. Same can be said for Fitz (even though he is not in the class of those QBs). 3) No injuries. We left the game intact. No injuries. Ryan Matthews, the Chargers' RB that many predict to have a huge year, got hurt on his first run. He is out 4-6 weeks, maybe more. 4) Backup positions look much better than in previous years. While the starters didn't look so hot (although I thought the starting defense looked pretty good), the backups played fairly well. You can tell that this team has much more depth than previous years. This is also evident when watching special teams, where backups usually play. Better backups, better special teams. Not to mention a kickoff specialist that kicks the **** out of the ball. No more lobs to the 5 yard line. This helps field position and avoids special team injuries. Get off the ledge. Let's stay healthy for the season and see what happens. Carry on.
  13. I look forward to seeing him get even fatter on a steady diet of ribs.
  14. The best thing about Buffalo fans - and this has been mentioned in at least 3 articles I've read since the season started - is how respectful of our athletes we are. It's really true. And it's why so many athletes love living here and stay here long after their careers are over. Great read. Love Stevie!!
  15. Agree with Aussie, it was TERRIBLE coaching. I was cringing watching that game. Sparano is on his way out and I think he knows it and is playing Dick Jauron football, i.e., play not to get blown out. It's amazing much of a difference good coaching makes.
  16. First in 2012 and a secondin 2013 that could become a first. This is an ass raping of the Raiders by Cincy. If Cincy drafts well with these picks, they could be a VERY VERY good team in the near future. Especially with Dalton and Green to build your team around.
  17. George Wilson has really developed into a top notch safety. He is great in run support, solid tackler, and really has a nose for the ball. 11 tackels (1 for a loss), 3 passes defended, a QB hit, and an INT.
  18. Are you really comparing Kamar (or whatever his name is) Aiken to TO? TO hurt is ten times better than this guy.
  19. TO was a class act while he was here, and that was under Jauron and his merry group of morons. I'd love to see what TO would do in Chan's offense.
  20. Al was the best. I really enjoyed watching the AFL documentary last year on him. He's was truly one of a kind. Great day for the old AFL teams. Glad we could win one for Al and Ralph today.
  21. If Jones is out for a while, we need a deep treat. I think TO can be the answer.
