  1. I'm not sure what to make of it other than I like what our front office is doing, hiring solid football guys from within the division. Anytime that it's a subtraction for New England and an addition for Buffalo is a plus in my eyes.
  2. I don't know what the opinion is around here on Manuel or the consensus on Graham but I must say that I could understand the logic of the Bills drafting another QB with our 1st rd pick this year. If we have the opportunity to select a blue chip QB regardless of how we do it than 'm of the mindset that we do it, even if that means we trade up to do it. As far as Manuel goes he may very well be our franchise QB but I believe that we could never have enough good/great players at the most important position on a team. EJ has shown a propensity of not staying healthy so far and I do wonder about some of his decision making. When he pushed for those couple of extra yards against the Browns and sprained his right LCL it actually pissed me off. This kid has to be smarter than this, especially that he already made the first down and Hoyer was even knocked out earlier in the game. EJ must realize that there is a whole community and franchise depending on him. Like I said previously I don't how others around here perceive EJ but I must say that after his first season he hasn't given me the most confidence in him or has put me at ease about the future of this team. It's been way too long since we were ever considered a threat to do something and I'm not wanting to wait another couple of years to find out if all of hopes are pinned to someone who may not be the solution. I remember when Kelly came here how you just knew that there was something about him. The way this whole region got so jacked up about him. I was at that Jets' game where that "Kelly is God" sign was hung out. Btw, I never agreed with that blasphemous sentiment but that was feeling around here. I never got that impression with EJ, it was more that some of of us are just hoping that he's the answer. Anyways here's a link to today's article from Graham and I can't say that I really disagree with his logic even though I would love for us to take a big time LB with our first pick in this year's draft. http://www.buffalonews.com/columns/tim-graham/draft-another-qb-its-business-not-personal-20140130?two-bills-drive
  3. I haven't seen anything posted on him but then again I haven't really been around for quite some time so excuse me if this has already been discussed. If so, mods, please merge. I would love to see the Bills acquire him if he does become available. DeMaryius Thomas' rookie contract runs out after the 2014 season and the Broncos have another 15 FAs this year in addition to Decker. Here's a big WR that the Bills could surely use.
  4. When I hear about a youngster leaving well before their time it just saddens me to think and know that they were cheated out of so much. May God provide comfort to his parents and the rest of his family. As far as John, may he bask in the love and serenity of Jesus. Rest in peace John and just know that today many brethrens are thinking of you.
  5. Thanks. It's too bad though, I tried to post something and positive and man did this thread ever get ugly! It's too bad.
  6. Um, aren't I the OP?? Lol! Seriously though, one thing that I liked hearing, and I can't ever remember hearing a Bills' coach say this, is what Marrone said the other day in an interview. He stated that we are in position to draft the best player available due to our roster situation. If that means that we would be willing to draft a space eating DT to help our poor run defense then so be it. Marrone said that he's a offensive minded guy but then gave a little chuckle like he doesn't expect to draft for offense only leads me to believe that he is expecting to draft for defense. Either way I'm finally regaining hope that this franchise/team is trending in the right direction. I 'm hoping and expecting good things for this upcoming season, hence "The Stampede is on!"
  7. Which I feel is the position (LB) that the Bills will address with our first pick in the draft.
  8. I haven't posted in quite some time but after reading about Dareus making the Pro Bowl as the 4th Bill to do so I can't help but to daydream about the good times that is about to come down the pike for all the long suffering Bills' fans! I just hope that we retain Byrd and have a strong draft/FA period so that we can add whatever players that are necessary to making this one of the best defenses in the NFL for the 2014 season!
  9. Thanks Rian, you'll always be a Buffalo Bill.
  10. I'm getting fed up with all of you telling me what to do and talking to me like ****. I apologized retracted my post after getting mountains of verbal abuse. You don't like it? Too fukking bad, neither do I.
  11. !@#$ off @$$hole, who the !@#$ do you think you are?! Walk this off.
  12. Sorry for the post, I can see that it was a mistake and I shouldn't have posted it.
  13. I did this whole post with an IPhone. If I misused a word than excuse me but the way that people act around here is actually comical. My post wasn't difficult to understand, it's about racism. I'm curious to see the reaction about all of this. Will this be a big deal or will it get quietly swept under the rug. True to form that the subject's content is ignored and once again the majority around here want to pounce on the misuse of a word. Now THAT blows my mind! Lol!
  14. I didn't get to see a lot of the game but what I did get to see Buffalo's defense looked intense and hustling with determination. It was nice to see.
  15. It's nice to see how well perceived my post went. It's about racism in the NFL. Here's the best part of my post and many of your inputs. I googled the word debactical and I didn't misuse it but this thread is actually in google right now. Go figure
  16. Is this possible? After that whole mess with Riley Cooper comes another incident where racism raises it's head once again but the biggest difference is that it comes from within it's own race. I guess ignorance isn't prejudice. Racism has come to light recently as being something that hasn't been known to be an issue in the locker room of a professional sports' team but now that it has it was amazing to see the reaction to it. it was actually a good thing to see, that in the sanctuary of a locker room that it (racism) isn't as prevalent as it is in this world. It was refreshing to see. With that being said it was shocking to realize how proficiently it can destroy the harmony and team camaraderie. It has been pointed out as maybe the one thing that can't be overcome by a coach, team, franchise, and as in the Cooper incident, maybe even a whole city and it's officials. I believe that this could even be a bigger ordeal due to the extent of the social media and how that it's out of the locker room and now it's smack dab in the laps of the whole sporting entity. This prejudice is just under a very thin skin still and in a vast way. It still is a great threat to the forward advance of harmony amongst races, cultures and communities and now fraternities. When will all this be bridged to a peaceful, harmonious level? Sadly I see not in my lifetime. We need leaders, we need leaders of ALL kinds to step forward and take a stance on this. We need colorless leaders, ones who are in it for the right reasons, not because they were victimized or because they are justifying their actions. What is wrong is wrong. Can't that be admitted without furthering the justifications of someone's personal cause(s)? Accountability. What a wonderful word. It's too bad that for most people to understand the meaning is for them to look it up in the dictionary. Regardless of the specifics involving Numbers Never Lie co-hosts Hugh Douglas and Michael Smith the point remains that when someone utters a derogatory remark about someone it becomes a label for both parties involved. Does the one who speaks it gather credibility when he makes such an accusation or does he in fact loses that same credibility for being so ignorant and backwards in his thinking? What about the person who receives such a slander and insult? Does he invite and validates such a label for being reserved in his thinking and actions for not being a willing participant in an incident that he views trivial? Or is he just an out and out victim of ignorance? Racism is an ugliness that is getting more and more publicized as time goes on it is usually stemming from a white on black transgression but when it's a black on black crime does it become more excusable and acceptable? Just asking.....
  17. Thanks for the recognition SJBF, unfortunately I had a lot of misses in there too. I can't wait until this season begins, I really think that we might be finally in the right direction with this team and franchise! Go Bills!
  18. Sorry, that's not me, I believe that that's The Senator if I'm not mistaken.
  19. Well, at least something was validated here and that is the early consensus is that Brad Smith is worthless.
  20. Well, the Steelers might just be well suited for him. Not only are they very thin at the WR position but Smith has decent size and offers a ton of versatility, especially down in the red zone. Keep in mind that their TEs have been dropping like flies lately also. Because of that they are forced to start considering running out of a 3 WR formation. Last but not least Smith and Jericho Cotchery are former teammates and very close friends, which means that they are very familiar with each other and share much of the same thinking in football. I believe that the transition would be very smooth for both the player and the team. Will or could this happen? Maybe but it's football and I like to speculate on what could help our team and I think that this could be an attractive scenario for us on multiple levels.
  21. I'm a little hesitant to try and make a prediction after I discovered a spot on draft prediction made by maddenboy but I got to wondering about our abundance that we suddenly have at the WR position and I came up with an idea. Bear with me because I'm doing this by my IPhone so I'm just going to attempt to hit the main points of my "brainstorm ". Lol! Ok, seeing that GM Doug Whaley has Steeler roots and that I have always admired the mentality of that organization I got to thinking after Plaxico went down that maybe these franchises could help each other with a player personnel swap. The Steelers are precariously thin at the WR position and like I me too ed previously that we seem to have an over abundance there that we could trade one of ours for one of their RBs. As much as I like Fred Jackson I believe that this could be his last productive year for us and that a future replacement would be in order. After the Steelers drafted Le'Veon Bell this year they were reported to be interested in trading Jonathan Dwyer. Here is a young strong RB with a skill set that would be a good compliment to CJ Spiller. This would be an attractive tandem in my opinion and could help levitate the potential logjam that seems to be brewing with WRs. We just restructured Brad Smith and that usually indicates that a player is dispensable and the cap charges would be a little bit more friendly. Besides, here is a WR/player that we still haven't figured out on how to utilize properly and is positioned mid range on our depth chart from what I can tell. I would like to elaborate or expand more on this idea but it's laborish doing this from such a small device. I believe that I gave enough of a description of my intentions and welcome any and all input on this concept. Thanks.
  22. Nice job pal, you nailed it! http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/156917-looks-like-buffalo-will-need-to-draft-their-offensive-players/
  23. It's like the Robert Neachum scenario. When the Bills failed to sign him, or should I say that they had a certain value attached to him, people were quick to point the finger at our front office's ineptness. Needless to say that AJ Smith is still looking out for the Bills (big, dry sarcasm button on this statement).
  24. Amen! Why can't we just enjoy this team/franchise for what it is and who they are? If Bills' fans want to hold them to championship standards then the Bills will surely fail but if they are accepted for who and what they are then they stand a chance of exceeding your expectations.
