  1. The last time I wrote a letter people called it a manifesto.
  2. Welcome to TBD! Doc, do not derail his narrative, that's not how this works. First, you make a decision based on nothing, THEN you go looking for articles that support your position and read them so carefully you don't realize they were written during the Bush administration. Finally, when people point out your data is completely outdated, you make some form of general philosophical claim in order to save face.
  3. avp rumor norv turner rumor olsen and dorsey rumors take your pick
  4. Yeah positive spin - coordinated effort negative spin - what did he even do? Wanna bet which one wins out here?
  5. Read that first article on him. Looks like it was a system they crafted together
  6. Here's the that has the tweet in the article. Looks like I put a little too much into that
  7. Looks like he worked with Castillo in Baltimore too. This has been in the works for a while guys. The "reported" OC interviews were likely all QB coach interviews.
  8. The guy had 2 years with O in the top 6 with Schaub as the QB. He can make it work with Tyrod. (source- K Massare)
  9. He has 14 posts, yet he fits right in
  10. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/01/19/bills-hire-rick-dennison-as-offensive-coordinator/ As far as him banging on the table for Tyrod, it's something I read on twittter. i will link as soon as I can find it again. It wasn't from someone I follow
  11. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/01/19/bills-hire-rick-dennison-as-offensive-coordinator-after-grueling-search/ Good writeup. Looks like the coaches we've picked up on offense were signed with him in mind
  12. Thanks Leroi. Pretty encouraging that this was help under wraps for 8 days. Leaks have stopped since McD took over. Looks like Dorsey was actually here to interview as QB coach?
  13. They gave the guy 2 nobodies at QB this year and he did the best he could with that. The year before, they won a Superbowl, yes largely off of the strength of the D, but he also made a lot of adjustments to accomodate Manning's newly noodled arm. As an expert on the guy after having read 3 articles at random, I am cautiously optimistic. I actually like this staff minus Crossman. I think this means we keep Tyrod, as the Broncos made a push for him last year.
  14. Doubtful, Dennison was Tyrod's QB coach in Baltimore and was reportedly the driving factor behind the Broncos' push for him last offseason
  15. Pretty much. There has been zero news coming in or out throughout the search. LaCanfora confirmed his incompetence by speculating on AVO, probably while Dennison was sitting down in the building to sign his contract. I think I need to lay down. I can't remember ever seeing you happy?!
  16. Totally fair and valid opinion to have. One thing that I think may be lost on people here is that if they as fans don't like the product on the field they NOW have the option of not spending money on the team and actually expressing their opinions without being worried that their actions, in affecting the bottom line, would lead to the team leaving town. Do you guys not remember the conversations we used to have on this board just a couple of years ago that basically went like this: OP - "this team sucks, I'm not renewing my season tickets" Everyone else - "I know, but If we do that the team will move to LA" It's a huge deal that we don't have that hanging over our heads anymore.
  17. If Leroi says a signing is imminent, enough for me
  18. He pounded on the table with this and pretty much killed any credit he had as an insider.
  19. Yeah this is really all I was trying to convey. I don't believe the Pegulas get a pass for poor decisions, nor did I ever argue that they should (WEO, et al). I simply saw the announcement about the Raiders, making the move more or less a likelihood and found myself feeling bad for all the Raiders fans. For Oakland and St. Louis at least, their teams have now left the state, that has to suck. As far as my comment on how cities treated owners, I was just referring to the fact that, though San Siego and Oakland may not have wanted to use public funds to fund a stadium, that by no means meant that the team had no fans left in those cities. Today made me happy the Bills are staying in town and I remembered how nervous I was when the team was up for sale. Feel free to hate on the owners, I'm sure I will be frustrated with them again soon, but I think there's something to be said for pausing for a second and taking stock of good things and appreciating them. The team staying is a good thing.
  20. As expected, the trolls are out en masse ... That feeling you get when you have a party and someone you didn't want to show up is now in your house
  21. I mean if the tank is in you have to figure we're looking ahead to the 2018 draft class. If that's the case, why keep Tyrod at all? If it is not in, who gets drafted at 10 and wouldn't be expected to start immediately and if he doesn't, would you really want that rookie learning about being a QB from someone who doesn't really have a prototypical game?
  22. You can call the Bills a dumpster fire. You may hate that Terry has zero public speaking skills. But the fact of the matter is that as of today there are now fans in THREE NFL cities who no longer have a team. Regardless of how the Chargers, Rams and Raiders' last cities treated the team or ownership, I think we can all relate as fans to the sinking feeling of hoping the team you root for will stay in town because they are your team. Obviously this thread will soon be inundated with "that's the kind of thinking that leads to playoff droughts" and calling me a koolaid drinker, but I don't think it's out of line to be grateful to know that my kids will get to be BUFFALO Bills fans. That's all, I don't have a point beyond that.
  23. That's not it. But the owners can't vote on something that hasn't been presented as a proposal.
  24. This interview is intriguing because I feel like a lot of people were clamoring for "no more retreads" at OC, but I doubt anyone was thinking we would hire a guy with less than 5 years experience as a coach. I'm all for giving people a chance, but this would be a VERY risky move. That said, he does have OC experience. According to wikipedia, on April 26, 2011 he was named offensive coordinator at nearby Riverview High School. So that's something!
  25. Yes, sometimes we ran out of shotgun, he was revolutionary.
