Damn you Terrence McGee!
Stussy109 replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
JP has an arm, mobility, and the willingness to go long. Give him a chance behind some guys that can block. Our O-line was a work in prgress all yr. I think we need 2 solid signing 1 via draft, 1 via free agency, and we should have a solid O line. I want some athletes on theline, guys that can pull. -
We already have Troy Vincent if we chose to go the 30+ veteran route.

I recall TD in a fan Q&A session, was quoted as saying something to the same effect. "The fans wanted JP, but when he struggled like all young QB's do, they got impatient." Realistically, we the fans control their decisions. They want to please the fans so they can sell seats. That is THEIR JOB. If we don't go to games, they don't have jobs. Even if MM and TD wanted to "groom" JP, the fans discontent forced them in another direction. Not to mention the possibility of frustrated veterans on the team. -

that article quotes Brad Roll as being discussed as potential firing. i agree with the firing, as numerous players looked out of shape i.e. Clements and Mcgahee. Both looked heavy and slow this year. Also, there was NO PUSh from either line. I remember hearing a lot of positive comments about Rusty Jones b4 from players. haven't heard one comment this yr about roll -
This Season showed... 1) That you can't put together an NFL quality O-line with castoffs and scraps. 2) The importance of a dominant DT in todays NFL 3) The continued dominance of the bowling ball named London Fletcher 4) Willis aint sh-- 5) The importance of a receiver like E Moulds 6) Why do we have a tight end on the field? 7) Mcgee is a solid lock up. 8) The importance of a solid strength and conditioning coach in Rusty Jones. Where's the push from either line? 9) how good Lee Evans can be 10) How important having an experienced Head Coach is. 11) Anybody can get hurt, even TKO, thats why depth is important.

You can't go wrong with either one. See if Holcomb can put two good games together back 2 back, or see what JP has vs a struggling team. My guess is that Holcomb will start.

For those of you who don't get to go to the majority of the games, Sam Adams gets very littl eplaying time anymore. he hasn't been the starter for quite some time now. Sam Adams is in for goal line situations and in our tweaked 4 man pass rush situation in which Kelsay, Schobel Denney and Adams are on the field. Basically he's on the sideline for more than half of the defensive snaps. Before Sape got hurt, Sape was getting in before Adams. He's being punished for something, don't know what though.

Shaud Williams has been way more effective than Mcgahee this year. I don't give a sheet how a player looks, it's how he plays. Shaud plays bigger than Willis. SHaud lays a better block than WIllis, has better hands than Willis, and can run faster than 5 mph which is what Willis looks like every time.

I for one kind of like Donahoe... He's a savvy businessman. Mularkey... I like his guts he has, but for soem reason this year, his play calling just didn't work. However for the sake of continuity, and giving people a chance to learn from their mistakes, they ought to be back here at least for next year. You can't throw somebody under the bus after one rough season, in which we switched to a "rookie" QB. STatistics showed to us that 9 times out of 10 an NFL had a poor year when starting a "rookie" QB.

PASS YARDS Player G Att Cmp Pct Tot /Att /G TD TD% Int Int% Sack Rat J.P. Losman 9 228 113 49.6 1340 5.9 148.9 8 3.5 8 3.5 25 64.9 Kelly Holcomb 9 193 132 68.4 1325 6.9 147.2 8 4.1 4 2.1 15 92.9 Notice the difference in pass completion percentage/yards per completion, sacks, and rating. Kelly Holcomb seems to be getting it done. This info contradicted the common belief in scrambling ability being able to reduce sacks and a strong arm needed for big plays. I've been a JP supporter the whole year, however Holcomb impressed me yesterday. He has me wondering how we would have done if he had been in all season?

A Few Quick Thoughts About The Game

Holcomb could throw because he was out of Buffalo weather conditions playing in 50 degrees and calm winds. -

What's the best way to build a O-Line?
Stussy109 replied to Outkast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wellllllll.... the way you do it in madden is you get 2 franchise bookend Tackles, and an above average center, with average guards. Also you tend to not want to have anyone over 31-32. Realistically, Both lines should be addressed every draft and offseason via 1-2 pickups. The "Lines" on both sides of the ball are virtually half of the starting lineup, therefore they should get a decent amount of attention every year. -
Donahoe has been a straight shooter, been able to bring big names to a small time market, and tends to sign our inhouse talent more than not. I like the mcgee and schobel signings. His weakness lies in finding a good coach. I feel he puts too much emphasis on interviewing skills which can be learned/faked, vs past history, and success. Donahoe will not be fired, based on the fact that old people don't like change very much. He'll keep the white fox around, but encourage him to look for better coaches.

Frickin Hilarious... fed up Bills fan i take it For the record... I put a small wager on the Bills to hold their own at +14. I put most of my money on San Diego getting 1 in Kansas City. I like the SD bet a lot. Howver I feel if buffalo can put up 17 again, the 14pts is enough to cover. i see cinci getting 24-30 pts.

What do you guys think of the line?

My God! What Team is Tirico and Sharpe watching?
Stussy109 replied to KOKBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TKO,ROn Edwards, mark cambell, mike williams, Fletcher with an injured Hammy, Mcgee with an injured Hammy, Moulds suspended, Losman hurt, Villarial was out, Lawyer Milloy, playing with a busted wrist, and roscoe for the 1st half of the season. -
the spread tonight is Denver - 8 1/2
Stussy109 replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its 9 on bodog... Most people have money on the bills cuz its -115, keep in mind though, the broncos may be a better team than the pats, and what kind of showing did we put on last week? We could easily be beat by 14 or more. Depends on how much balls our coach and team has. I think our coach sent a message to the players in last weeks game and tookk anysteam out of their hearts when he punted on 4th and 1 from the pats 45 rather than go for it when your down by 14. I want to see Mularkey gamble a little bit tonight. Throw tradition out the window. -
This game could be a nightmare scenario for TD
Stussy109 replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In Defense of Mularkey... Our line can't run-block. He calls a run play and we get 1 yard, he calls another and we get 2 yards. You playcalling is pretty limited when u can't run the football, and he's obviously just trying to make soemthing happen. When you start relying on deceit and trickery, it tells me that you are compensating for deficiencies in other areas. I think our issues fall more in the personell area. Next yr, my Bills Wishlist is for a FS who can tackle, A DT who can push the pocket, SPikes to be Healthy, 2 Nasty O-lineman who strike fear in the d-lines eyes(1 OG, 1OT), Mike williams to take a paycut and be healthy, and a runningback who isn't a sell-out and plays half ass when theres nothing to play for. -
