  1. The only coach with NFL experience at his position is Pettine, and it shows. From Last year which was a bad year in which Chan Gailey got fired our offense has regressed, our special teams have gotten worse and our Defense has improved. Nate Hacket in over his head an it shows. Tampa Bay D blew up our Offense with ease yesterday.
  2. All is well, Russ has been promoted every year from baseball ticket salesman to ceo of the buffalo Bills while only fielding an above 500 team once....in the last decade. The only two consistent things on this losing franchise has been Ralph Wilson and Russ Brandon. Now that Wilson has nothing to do with the operations end of it, it fall on Brandon. Can Jim Kelly finally Buy the team????
  3. compared to the ralph its a snooze fest energy wise....Its comparable to going to an nba game. The 3 times I have been there i have been in the lower level wearing my Bills gear, no problems, and everybody seemed cordial, some even congratulating me after a Bills Win.
  4. That'd be decent filling 2 BIG needs. 1 thing is for sure, all the talk about Nassib and the Bills fearing the Jets taking him have me willing to bet my left pinky finger we have no intention of taking Nassib at 8.
  5. Mighty Taco, I be messin with them real hard.....
  6. Under Gailey if you actually went to a game or paid attention to a game, he rotated players on both lines frequently, Hairston/Pears Hairston/Glenn. Rhinehart being the 6th man off the bench if any guard or center got nicked, played a lot last year. Same thing on D-Line, there were 2 waves... Even the safeties rotated.
  7. Really? Fitz, jones, nelson(starting slot wr) G. wilson, levitre, Barnett, Kelsay
  8. If they were our starters, how bad are the guys stepping in to fill the void from 2nd string, the addition by subtraction makes sense when you have a viable alternative. Losing Chris Kelsay means Spencer Johnson takes his spot with significant time spelling M Williams, and M Anderson. As of Now, Brad Smith is our #2 WR, yikes.
  9. In reality, I like the move to acquire and keep T Jackson for a late Pick as hes better than anybody we'd be able to draft in rounds 2-7. Losing Fitz as bad as he was is a downgrade, Losing Nelson is a downgrade, losing Kelsay and Levitre are big downgrades. Kelsay gets a bad rap, but he was playing well IMO. guard, my bad
  10. Counting Rinehart as a swing guard, we lost 8 Starters, and have swapped Barnett for Lawson. Assuming D Searcy takes over for Wilson, and TJ Graham takes over starting #3 WR pos. We Still need a #1 QB, #2 WR, Starting LG, #2 G and #2 DE. MArk Anderson was showing to be a situational Pass Rusher and was horrendous vs the run last year, i would count him as our #3 DE even though hes paid like a first stringer. We have 5 Glaring Starter holes 6 if you count another starting MLB for Pettine's Mixed defense which will include a 3-4. Not looking good with only 6 draft picks and Buddy Nix snoozing through free agency. Players who have departed • Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick • Wide receiver Donald Jones (New England Patriots) • Wide receiver David Nelson • Guard Andy Levitre (Tennessee Titans) • Guard Chad Rinehart (San Diego Chargers) • Defensive end Chris Kelsay (retired) • Defensive end Shawne Merriman (retired) • Linebacker Nick Barnett • Cornerback Terrence McGee • Safety George Wilson (Tennessee Titans) http://blogs.buffalo...ves-so-far.html
  11. Bill Polian Coming to the Bills as Executive Of Football Operations, like Bill Parcells did in Miami?
  12. I have to admit, Chan is calling the right plays, even though they arent getting executed. The WR's are open down the field, we just have a QB who cant precision pass beyond 20 yards. I think with an average to above average QB Chan would look like a genius with his playcalling. We cant deny that he has turned this abysmal offense around from the days of JP Losman and Trent Edwards. My few critiques: 1) When you have a QB who is struggling or any employee for that matter, put him in a situation to succeed (ala run the ball more and run playaction) 2) Inability to fix or correct whats wrong on Defense or just complete lack of knowledge on Defense 3) Game clock management I'm a chan supporter, however Fitzpatrick NEEDS real competition in camp whether it be a High draft pick rounds 1-3, or a free agent pick up via trade or free agency ala Matt Flynn, kirk cousins, kyle orton, mike vick etc Wannestedt needs to get himself a stud LB to complete his defense
  13. Alex Carrington was a beast, he deserves big props. He was dominating so much i didnt get a chance to see, but it looked like he was playing against a 3rd string guard. He was bullrushing every play, even splitting double teams.
  14. Ive been going to the games on regular basis since 1998, I have yet to drink a beer at or before a game. I get into the games early to watch warm ups. When I'm home watching my team on Sunday ticket, I'm so passionate about the team, You will find me cursing at the TV usually directed towards (Chan Gailey, Dave IdontWannasack, or Fitztragic), Its not because I'm a douche or drunk, its because I'm passionate about my team. Some people go to watch a game and dont really get into it, other people WATCH the game, and really get the elecrtric feel and adrenaline rush of being at the stadium.
  15. Lower level between the 20's 99% of the time you will have no issues
  16. 2 solutions for your problem....Park in a privately owned lot like the wyndham church where none of what you spoke of happens, and pay extra $$$ for better seats the rowdy college kids cant afford. Further away from the endzones, the better the clientel. I'm 32 with kids and thoroughly enjoy the stadium experience. I travel 8 hours to games and see them on the road. I would never trade the energetic fanbase we have as Bills fans for any of the yuppity yuppity corporate fair weather fans you see at most other stadiums. I'm a successful guy myself and enjoy the rough crowd .... When this team turns the corner, we will have a fan base that rivals that of teh steelers and packers. We travel well on the road for being a perennial sub .500 team. Go Bills!
  17. A pretty good source with a friend on the administrative side of things in the organization told me the purpose of the 1yr lease agreement was to allow for new ownership to negotiate their own lease terms for what its worth.
  18. We have a QB on an NFL team who can't hit open receivers 25 yards down the field running a go route. I know HS QB's who throw better medium to deep balls. And we paid out the ass for him.... We have Star studded over priced free agent ridden defense breaking records for the other teams.... I'm ready to puke, 2nd rate coaches = 2nd rate products. :bag: I'll work pro bono as D-Coordinator and put a better product on the field.
  19. Guys relax, teams of 16 teams feel like they're going to the superbowl, and 16 teams fans want to fire the coach and are thinking about next years draft....Its week one give it some time, if we're 0-4 then we can talk like this. There was a lot that needs to be corrected, including the defensive play calling in addition to fitzpatrick. part of the blame can even be put on Gailey for not allowing his QB to get into a rhythm with some easy throws and runs when he knew he was struggling. We HAD two stud RB's effing use them Gailey. We have a gunslinger turnover machine at QB who is a high risk high reward guy, use your workhorses. If the season was the equivalent of a 60 minute game, we're only 3 minutes 45 seconds into the 1st quarter, NO TIME TO PANIC.
  20. Beat a buffalo Jill in an arm wrestling match? Look at those arms...c'mon you're in the NFL man lift some weights
  21. not sure if its already been said, but Rex Grossman
  22. While I usually love this guy and he has been spot on with his draft (especially for us the Bills) i see him being wrong this year. I agree with the urge to trade up for Kalil, however I don't see Kalil getting past the Vikings at 3. IF kalil falls past the vikings, I see the Bills doing everything they can to get up and get him. I like the other poster said find it tough to see Nix drafting Barron, unless he is going by Best Player available. Assuming he can outplay Byrd and Wilson in TE coverage, its also insurance for Jairus Byrd not resigning with the team. I just dont see the Bills staying put at 10, see them either moving up for Kalil or dropping back for OT.
  23. 1)Colts- A. Luck 2)Skins- RG3 3)Vikings- Matt Kalil 4)Browns- tent richardson 5)Bucs- M Claiborne 6)Dolphins via Rams- R Tannehill 7)Jags- J Blackmon 8)Rams-Dontari Poe 9)Panthers-M Ingram 10)Bills- Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame....here's my rationale After Kalil rumor has it rest of OT's are very similar in quality. After Blackmon and Floyd, there is a pretty big drop off. Going By Nix's Best Player Available for rounds 1 and usually 2, we Go WR #1 and OT #2
