Who do we want, who do we need as our next HC and, or GM?
Stampede replied to jaybeezee's topic in The Stadium Wall
I live in St Petersburg (Tampa Bay Area), you don't want Gruden. The many Buc fans that I know were glad when he left. Gruden does not belong in Buffalo. Getting rid of Beane would be a big mistake, the problem is not Beane. Beane works on contracting the players recommended to him by the coaches and scouting staff. He doesn't operate in a vacuum. -

I feel good about our chances but this is very interesting. Go Bills! https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/josh-allen-buffalo-bills-afc-championship-game-bulls-michael-jordan-pistons

I watched this video on YouTube, and then watched another video about Wyoming Bills fans. Two things I learned: while at Wyoming University, Josh preferred Buffalo style wings with a bleu cheese sauce, and the Wyoming state flag consists of a dark blue field (background) bordered by white and red; in the centre is the white silhouette of a bison (commonly called a buffalo) bearing the state seal. Talk about destiny. Am I the only one who didn't know this?

So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?

I'll share my feelings on February 12th. -
Bills Hire DJ Mangas as Offensive Assistant
Stampede replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't he just become OC for UB? If true, I guess when Joe becomes head coach DJ will move into the OC spot. Planning ahead? -
Have the happiest of birthdays Kim! Please know that YOU are truly missed and thought of EVERY day.

If the offense keeps struggling does Dorsey get fired ?
Stampede replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is ridiculous. He is a rookie OC. The only previous experience he has was for a high school team. With all the injuries, we're still 10 and 3, two losses of 3 points and one loss of 2 points. We've been in every game and could have been 13-0. What's needed is everyone healthy and solid play from the offensive line. It would be nice if they would make the offensive line the priority in the draft. Give Kromer some fresh young buffaloes. -
Wow, talk about being blessed by the football gods.

Coaching Staff has to take a huge blame for yesterday
Stampede replied to BillyBilliams's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with most everything you've said, but isn't this on Josh? Wasn't this the area where he showed improvement? Completing the underneath routes and taking what the defense was giving him? I'm hoping this is a wake-up call for the team (actually I thought the Miami loss would have been, oh well). -
I know this is going to rile 'some of you', but I don't understand why 'some of you' feel that Leslie is the reason for the defensive failure during the 13 seconds. How I see it: I recall McDermott admitting to taking over calling the defense when he felt a different approach was needed. I don't know how often he has done so. I remember, along with many others, yelling NO PREVENT DEFENSE during the 13 seconds. McDermott was there during the 13 seconds. Wouldn't that have been the perfect time for him to assume control? This was much more than a regular season game. Why didn't he do it? I can only think of two possibilities: 1-he supported the call; 2-he made the call. In either scenario, the final decision was his. Am I looking at this the wrong way? At any rate, it's time to move on from it. I never blamed Leslie, I think he is a great DC.

Ed Oliver vs Aaron Donald Physical Comparison
Stampede replied to Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mr WEO, persistent, aren't we? That's cool, it's all good. This is not the route that was intended for this thread. As already said, I wasn't comparing careers, just curious as to how much of an improvement he could make with Von on the field. Anyway, I have to match your evidence, so here are mine. I searched 'best defensive tackles of all time'. These are the top 5 results if you care to check them out: https://www.nfl.com/photos/gil-brandt-s-greatest-nfl-defensive-tackles-of-all-time-0ap3000000816301 https://athlonsports.com/nfl/25-greatest-defensive-linemen-nfl-history https://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/greatest-defensive-tackles-of-all-time https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1127942-the-top-10-defensive-tackles-in-nfl-history https://www.fanrankings.com/nfl/articles/top-10-nfl-defensive-tackles-of-all-time-rankings I'm hoping that Ed can put it all together and come out in full force beginning this season. He has the physical tools, hopefully he can improve on his mental game. I'm sure we are on the same page on that, yes? After all, he was projected to be a star according to NFL prospects: Aaron Donald Prospect Grade 5.90 / Ed Oliver Prospect Grade 6.80. Isn't that funny? I forgot to add; he is only 24.
