  1. We haven't played a single game in the AFC East. These are the games that are critical to our success for the season. Fortunately all three of them show some vulnerabilities, but we can't discount them. Brett almighty can throw for 6 TDs in a game, Big Bad Ronny Brown managed 5 TDs in a single game; and Patsteriks went 18-1 last season and still have LOTS of talent. I'm real pleased with the season, but almost no games are gimmies and we have our conference games (which are harder regardless of record) ahead of us. We're a young team learning to be a good one. Lets hope we keep learning!
  2. good link. thanks!
  3. I wouldn't say that overall (I live in LA so they always show Raider games), but he was better on Sunday. Heightened by the fact that the Raiders had better coverage and return games than we did.
  4. Agree, Youboty is playing strong in the nickel. He's doing a great job of aggressive tackling which means we're not losing as much by pulling a linebacker and replacing him with a db. Greer is a good outside db, he's not as good as an inside guy. I'd rather have a young veteran (Greer) who plays well out there than a rookie (McKelvin) still getting used to the NFL.
  5. I think horrible is too strong a word. He was up against pro-bowl DT Henderson who is a fine DT. We barely heard from henderson all game long. According to ESPN stats he was credited with 2 tackles for the whole game, and didn't put much pressure on TE. I'll take nothing out of Butler for nothing out of Henderson any day of the week.
  6. Mostly because they don't deserve to be. We have a competent center. We want a good or great one. There is just not that many of them around.
  7. Don't they announce it only when the eligible number is on the line of scrimmage? So if the player is out wide, he's clearly in an eligible position...
  8. Also thanks from me. I find it interesting that Donte said that they still had lots of things that they've practiced but not run. It looked like they were throwing all kinds of exotic stuff against the hawks because they could do it safely.
  9. It just seems a little more commonplace for QBs to suck it up. Or maybe it just feels harder because Mike Williams was OUR bust. It just seems less of a surprise that ASmith was a bust.
  10. Didn't Langston Walker go down for a little bit? Or am I remembering a preseason game? (Geesh, How can yesterday feel so long ago???)
  11. Absolutely agree. There is no way we'd be able to keep Bell if we dropped him from the roster. He's looked MUCH more capable than first advertised and his potential is high. Murphy is injured and too small to be a full-time T. It makes a LOT more sense to get Murph to take his surgery and IR him if they like him enough.
  12. Yup. Still not sure who's going to go if/when Peters shows up.
  13. Sounds like your wife is hot! ...Just messing with you. It's all a matter of perspective.
  14. Also don't forget that Marv wanted to draft Kyle in the 4th round but the rest of the draft room outvoted him to pick up Ko Simpson. Everyone became happy when Kyle was still around in the 5th. McCargo a bust? Maybe. That's still yet to be determined. He's still an important cog in our DLine. As for trading up when we drafted him, we were a bit over a barrell since we had no dt worth a hoot left on our roster, so that doesn't mean much to me. If he washes out of the league this/next year he's a bust. If all he becomes is an important role-player he'll only be a disappointment, not a bust. Now Mike Williams, THAT's a bust.
  15. I was suprised to here Musa getting the ax this quickly. I thought he was okay as a fill-in runningback. I Like our RB corp though. So I agree we don't want him.
  16. No, you were right, he did get cut on an earlier round of cuts, not at the final cutdown to 53.
  17. I rewound it and watched several times. I even called my fiance in on the loud one. Just crushing blocks. I think that keeping him around as a FB is probably worth the gamble. Sure he wasn't as useful in this particular game against a lot of undersized DL and LBs, but he sure could come in handy vs some other teams. I also liked the little FB flair pass. Too bad JP didn't have much touch on that throw.
  18. LOL! Well, the second IV comes after the run, along with the oxygen mask.
  19. Do you really think that 1,000 yards in 12 games while averaging over 4 yards/carry sucks? I'd put that in the pretty darn good catagory. Especially since the rest of the Rams s.u.c.k.e.d. last year. There was nobody else to worry about except Jackson. He's a very talented player, and I'd put him among the best runningbacks out there.
  20. We flat out robbed Baltimore. ...and I'm still giddy about it.
  21. I think I need to get a Moorman jersey now.
  22. That would be Donahoe, Son-of-Satan's work.
  23. yup, but teams were complaining about injuries the week right before the start of the season. Teams want to play the starters less during game 4, so why have fewer players to play, when they want to give them more time. Preseason game 4 is the last gasp chance for a marginal player to show he deserves to be on a team.
