  1. McCown could be a steal, but I'd be surprised if he gets out of Oakland unsigned. I want Losman to play but this kid is a great future insurance policy.
  2. What about Jon Goldsberry who is on our roster already?
  3. A sign and trade deal, simple as that. Eric doesn't want to be here and thinks the Bills are out to screw him. It just isn't going to work. Might as well give him what he wants.
  4. Give the Eagles what they really want and need.......Moulds.
  5. I'm quickly warming up to this signing. He's a red-zone threat (5 TD's in 35 career receptions) and supposedly a GREAT blocker. If Everett pans out as a receiver the two could make a decent tandem. Maybe this will spell the end of Neufeld who probably shouldn't be on an NFL roster.
  6. I saw the report on DT's on the NFL Network tonight. Ngata is starting to scare me a bit because some say he's a "two gap" player that is suited to a 3-4 defense, and that teams running a 4-3 are going to have to decide if he's a 3-down player.
  7. I'm thinking CHEAP. I'm thinking value because of all of the other needs of the Bills. Reche Caldwell Brian Finneran Rod Gardner
  8. I was on the Leonhard bandwagon in pre-season. Physically he's a little small, but he seems to have great instinct for the position that you can't teach. He doesn't seem to bite on fakes and he's a pretty big hitter. Ready to start? Not sure. I hope he'll see a lot of action in pre-season.
  9. I'd cut him tomorrow then. I thought that maybe Moulds agent was trying to bluff and get other teams interested to drive up the price. If Moulds isn't going to budge it's time to say bye-bye. Maybe this will be a good thing. It COULD make us more attractive to a potential free agent now that we will have a #1/#2 receiver position open.
  10. I've been banging the drum for Brian Finneran whether Moulds stays or goes. He gives you size and will probably be cheaper than Jurevicius. Consider his stats are with Michael Vick as QB too! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=2048
  11. Someone is going to break the bank on Drew Brees, but someone is going to look smart by giving McCown a modest deal to be either a starter or a #2 in waiting.
  12. I'm on the bargain watch. I think Brian Finneran would make a great WR addition. At 6' 5 it's like having another TE. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=2048
  13. If Moulds leaves I think we'll need three receivers. Right now I think we need at least two.
  14. Another guy in the J.J. mold is Brian Finneran of Atlanta. He's a free agent too. Check his stats; he would be the great possession receiver we never had.
  15. On second thought, maybe this is what I heard: http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/index.php?...ctions_id=#2552
  16. Did I hear somewhere the Jets also hired Sam Gash and Richie Anderson? Good players, but no NFL coaching experience.
  17. If Bush is a sure home-run, once-in-a-lifetime type player it would be hard not to draft him. I still think Houston's real need (and it mirrors Buffalo's problem) is offensive line. I would have to think that Kubiak given his offensive background and where he came from knows that. Plus Houston has a pretty darn good stable of young running backs; Davis, Morency, Wells, and Hollings. If they could trade Domanick Davis for a decent pick like a #2 I think it makes drafting Bush somewhat palatable.
  18. I'll take even an aging Milloy over Wire. At WR I'm not putting a lot of money into Reed, and Jonathan Smith is not an NFL wide receiver. Although he is great on special teams---Aiken isn't an NFL receiver either. A big, possession, move-the-chains free-agent like Atlanta WR Brian Finneran would be an upgrade. Look at his stats. I'm not thrilled with Campbell as a #1 TE. Euhus is close to being a bust, Everett is essentially a rookie/unproven, Neufeld is a waste of a roster space.
  19. I don't usually participate in consipacy theories. But, things like this story can get me started! "SI PRESUMING STEELERS WIN? An astute reader who saw an offer on television for a Sports Illustrated package honoring the National Champion Texas Longhorns did a little digging and found out that the guys at SI are preparing a similar package for the ultimate winner of Super Bowl XL. Since the Texas thing can be purchased via sitexasoffer.com, the reader punched in both sipittsburghoffer.com and siseattle.com. Both addresses link to an offer for a Super Bowl champion package. However, both links declare that the champions are the Pittsburgh Steelers."
  20. Here's a name I saw listed as a free agent: Brian Finneran-WR (Atlanta). I think he would make a great compliment to Evans, Parrish, and Reed. He's a good possession receiver, tall (6'5" I think) and physical. Word has it the Falcons want him back but only on the cheap. Take a look at his stats if you get a chance.
  21. Profootballtalk.com seems to think that Leinhart could slide a LONG way. I say it doesn't happen.
  22. I don't know about the McGahee part, but I think the 2005 season was a complete WASTE for Gates. He should have been on the field or else why did he make the roster???
  23. We need an impact player if we stay at #8. I wouldn't consider an O-lineman an impact player unless it was the one last missing piece that would make our line ROCK! We are several players away from that. Watch the Seattle & Pittsburgh O-lines. They tear people up.
