  1. True. I just bought a place in South Buffalo for $60k. It literally needs NOTHING! My taxes will be about $1500, if it were West Seneca it would be about $3000. If you don't mind putting a little elbow grease (sometimes) into a home there's a lot of decent places between $50 and $75 in Buffalo.
  2. Good advice. With the internet, or even going to Borders to find a book, there is plenty of good information out there. Don't sell until you know what you have.
  3. It's my guess this November that we might actually come close to cleaning house; county exec., major, and most of the common council. OUTTA HERE!!!!
  4. WGR is the ONLY radio outlet with live coverage....or so they said.
  5. Wasn't the station out of Lockport (1340?) running some Fox Sports on weekends? I know Syracuse has a Fox affiliate. I'll take Sporting News Radio any day.
  6. Is that a record? WOW! http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/index.cf...s&news_id=41017
  7. You don't pay $3 million a year for adequate. Donohoe overplayed his hand, but everyone knows Arizona was trying to salary dump their garbage.
  8. I think this was a terrible draft overall. I don't think there was huge talent available after round two especially in areas of need for the Bills (or should I say needs as the fans see it); OL & DL. I like the Bills first two picks as I think our WR corps are pretty bad when you look at other teams. I think the common denominator with those first two picks of the Bills is that they will see playing time immediately.
  9. Just because he's Anthony Munoz' son doesn't mean he's going to be as good. That's why.
  10. Jason White-QB Oklahoma or Walter Reyes-RB Syracuse
  11. No crack involved here. Pittman (who has had some off the field issues in his past, which I do not discount) is a decent back and a GREAT receiver out of the backfield. Here's his stats from last year: 219 carries 926 yards 4.2 yards per 78 longest run 7 TD's 41 catches 391 yards 9.5 yards per 68 longest reception 3 TD's 6 fumbles (lost all six) Okay maybe crack is involved on that last one! Not bad for a guy who is going to be a backup.
  12. Very true. I wish it could be that way. Odds are we never see him until at least traning camp, which means he'll probably be useless to us.
  13. Gruden just traded a 6th round pick to Cleveland for QB Luke McCown and he drafted Cadillac Williams at RB. Trade Travis Henry straight up for either Michael Pittman, Charlie Garner, or QB Chris Simms. Either way you get a backup.
  14. I look at it this way. The Bills were 25th in offensive yards last year. It's been said that both of these guys can see the field and contribute NOW. With a rookie QB and a need to make the playoffs it make sense to me. Some of these teams draft like they are re-building EVERY year, and that's why they end up 4-12 every year. The Lions can't get the draft or free agency right. The last four years they are 2-14, 3-13, 5-11, 6-10. One more win a year with all of those high picks?!!!
  15. I'm happy. I had no real feel where the Bills were going in this draft anyway. I'll say one thing, I'm not that impressed with the players I see being drafted by other teams. I thank go we didn't have a first round pick this year---yuck! And thank god we didn't draft Maurice Clarett!
  16. I don't think they are bad picks at all. From one standpoint I like the picks; it's being said that both could see playing time IMMEDIATELY. I just think it's been drilled into the fans mindset that we need O and D-Line and need carbon-copies of the guys we lost in free agency. It's easier said than done.
  17. I think I heard them say he's a very "tough" blocker. My Sporting News draft magazine says he "excels at blocking" and compares to a Bubba Franks-type of TE. By the way, the magazine list both Everett and Roscoe Parrish as possible Bills picks at those need areas.
  18. Something else from the press conference from Tom Modrak. He basically said he can play RIGHT NOW, in the Bills opinion of course. They didn't feel there were too many lineman that they felt the same about. The Sporting News draft guide compares him to Santana Moss. The Bills haven't had too many recievers that can blow the opponents' doors off. Now the Bills might have two in Parrish and Evans. The pick feels a little weird, but past Evans and Moulds I think our receivers are VERY weak. We might have a trio that COULD compete with Indy's---Harrison--Stokely---Wayne.
  19. Scout Todd McShay who with be working for ESPN this weekend is on Sporting News Radio right now. He said he received two interesting calls during the commercial break: 1) Tampa Bay is trying to put together a "blockbuster" deal with San Francisco. Gruden wants QB Alex Smith. 2) The Arizona/Buffalo deal for Travis Henry is dead. Look for Arizona to try and get a RB, looks like Cadillac Williams might be available for them. We'll see. The spin doctors are definitely out there.
  20. According to Len P. at ESPN here's the trade: Oakland gets: 1st round (#26 pick) 7th round pick Jets get: TE Doug Jolley 2nd round pick (#47) two 6th round picks
  21. Sporting News Radio is reporting that the Redskins are trying to parlay #9 and #25 to move up to select WR Braylan Edwards. Their source is Mike Florio at Profootballtalk.com He'll be on in a few minutes @ 10:25pm eastern Tuesday.
  22. Len P. at ESPN is reporting that Washington is after a QB with that #25 pick. And that it will be Jason Campbell of Auburn. If this is true, why does everyone know about it? Watch the Redskins get stiffed!!! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft05/colu..._len&id=2041257
  23. Be yourself and show interest in and about the company.
  24. They said the biggest needs were OL and DL, hence with the #55 pick: Adam Terry-OT/Syracuse or Jonathan Babineaux-DT/Iowa
