  1. Bertrand Berry is an animal. Arizona showed little interest before this season in re-signing him, and that hasd to now be seen as a mistake. It will interesting...I think he'd look great in Buffalo blue.
  2. I think Matt Birk will hit the market and should be our top target. He is irritated that his 10 years of top-five center play hasn't been enough to earn a pre-season contract extension, and the Vikes already have his replacement on their roster. We need to sign the top center available, and six-time Pro Bowler Birk is clearly that man. We've invested a lot into our o-line, yet it is still home of our biggest need (center).
  3. Here it is.
  4. I do believe the second "and" adequately separates the colors from the action; although, I would not write it that way, either.
  5. I had to second-guess myself on that, too, but he rushed for just one. But the Bills did rush for five TDs that day. Darrick Holmes took it in three times and Thurmal scored once. Both Holmes and Thomas rushed for more than a 100 yards each. Link...
  6. When did he run that? Upon further review, I see he ran a 4.71 at the combine, but NFL.com and CBS Sports said he "has 4.56 speed." I do some more research, and it turns out he ran the 4.56 as a sophomore, before he added some muscle. Still, he is known to be very agile and was able to get around the corner very well in college. And his 4.71 at the combine was among the best run by d-ends this year.
  7. Actually, from what I read about him back before he was drafted, he has 4.56 speed and some scouts projected him as a strong-side backer in a 3-4. I saw him play for Virginia Tech and was very excited to see him become a Bill. My biased view has me still thinking he can really breakout next season as a solid edge rusher.
  8. Save it for PPP.
  9. Thanks, Rich. As for your comments on McKelvin, I agree that he seems to be finally trusting himself and just letting himself play. That has become evident in his kick returns, as well, just doing it.
  10. The improbable is always likely for the Bills.
  11. It is all about money. I am a subcontractor for the company (CSC) that provides the event staff personnel at the Ralph. Now, I am working at FedEx Field, but I have spoken with the regional vice president, who also oversees the Buffalo office. He told me each season CSC tells the Bills more staff is needed, but each year the request to up the budget is denied. But that only covers the guys and gals doing the pat downs. The Ralph has its own security personnel, and they are the ones responsible for controlling the crowd before fans go through the screen stations. I know it is again budget issues, the team unwilling to pay for the additional personnel needed to set up and maintain organized lines leading to the gates. Tragically, it will probably take a few fans getting seriously injured or even killed in thee stampedes before the team will do what's necessary to ensure safety. Of course, let's not forget these stampedes wouldn't happen if there weren't so many a-holes ready to push and shove others whenever they can get away with it. But, alas, the reality is the world is full of these jerks, so the franchise needs to remedy this situation immediately.
  12. I liked it better when Europe (and everywhere else) was becoming more Americanized.
  13. Having players at the Pro Bowl seems to give teams a marked advantage in recruiting free agents. I would put Roscoe and Stroud in today.
  14. Not the worst idea, at all, but isn't he on the record saying the league won't allow another team do what the Packers did? And again, it wouldn't really be up to him. That type of thing would have to be agreed upon by the owners. Goodell works for the owners, so to speak. If he starts doing things they don't like, he will be gone and replaced. And Goodell isn't going to be the selling owner. That will be the Wilson family.
  15. As granitestatebillsbackers and Beerball more eloquently put it, Goodell doesn't have a whole to say about the future of the Bills.
  16. I'm glad you're understanding the big picture now.
  17. Thank you for pointing that out, Darrian. So you're a Saint now; let's see how that works out. Too bad your stint with the Lions was winless.
  18. They can and they have to. Turk's job depends on it. If he cannot "make" Trent do it, then it has to be Turk looking for a new job.
  19. How is that fair? Because he doesn't know what it means to be from a city on hard times? He is sticking with the team even when they break out hearts over and over and over again. I don't think we should attack this guy. He is just Bills fan, but not necessarily a Buffalo Bills fan. I am from Rochester and love and pray for the very best for all of WNY. Professional football would be no more in my view if the Bills leave WNY, but if he isn't from WNY, why should he really care about it? He loves the Bills not Buffalo. We who are from the region know that the Bills and Buffalo are considered one in the same to all of us, but I guess it makes sense outsiders wouldn't always see it that way.
  20. SIX votes for "Yes" but not a single explanation? Step up and let us know why, please. Or is someone just being an a-hole and clearing their cookies and voting over and over?
  21. As I posted in another thread, Jim Kelly and company are going to have a lot of very serious competition to buy the Bills once the team is on the block. There is too much money at stake for Wilson's family. I would be more willing to believe that there might be something "in the works" if it weren't for the fact Ralph has said time and again that he won't have anything to do with the sale of the team.
  22. Precisely my point of view, as well. Which leads me to ask whoever voted for the first option to please let us know why. Maybe you care about the team but have no allegiance to the region?
  23. On what do you base your opinion that JP consistently improved?
  24. With the talk that Ralph Wilson is the reason for the Bills futility, coupled with the fact that his death may lead to the Bills being moved out of Western New York, I want to know if you're OK with moving the team in order to get a title?
