It doesn’t sound like the father wants money. The civil suit at this time was likely just to put pressure on police, DA, and the accused.

She actually got Matt Araiza’s number from one of the other accused players after the alleged rape. I don’t think police gave her the names. I think it was people at the party.

We’ll find out a lot soon I’m sure. Her friends will be key witnesses. She says she was drinking with her friends prior to the party. She said her friend found her leaving the room bloody. Im still wondering how she got the names of the 3 men accused because she says she doesn’t know who was doing what to her in the room. That tells me someone gave her the names.

I actually find it interesting he hired a criminal defense attorney. He was hired 6 weeks ago which lines up with when the police 1st spoke with him. I have to imagine someone is going to be charged with rape for the police to start asking Araiza questions 9 months after the alleged rape.

Hearing Beane say he didn’t know how McDermott even coached the game was pretty eye opening. Not many have talked about it. I really think the Bills were caught off guard with some of the allegations that were released recently. I’m also thinking about if the civil suit was filed in September how this could’ve been a huge distraction and problem for the team.

Who cares. What we don’t want is a bad punter that has punts blocked and drops a key hold. There isn’t much difference between a great punter and a below average punter. Jordan Berry will be just fine.

They said the police asked them not to get involved. I really don’t believe it to be honest. There is a major shift in college football going on as we speak. Over the last year conferences are being reshaped. San Diego State is a front runner for the PAC 12. I just wonder if this was kept quiet because they were having a good season and they want the PAC 12.

Just watched the press conference. I personally felt Beane and McDermott handled it pretty well. I came away satisfied with their answers.

San Diego State removed Zavier Leonard from the roster about the same time the Bills cut Araiza.

There could be competition for Kern. I don’t think you get him for the minimum. Sign the cheapest most experienced punter available. Someone we don’t have to worry about. No experiments.

That’s why I would go after Kevin Huber when cut. Or just sign Jordan Berry now. Both have experience punting and holding in poor conditions.

Tendinitis type injury. He’ll be more than fine week 1. It’s something that could pop up later in the year though.

Another thing to remember is cap. A punter like Kern could be a could be a million or 2 more than some other punters cap wise.

It’ll last a few more days involving the Bills and then fade away. That’s why they cut him because it was a PR nightmare that was just beginning. There are so many layers. It’s even possible there was a cover up by a major university football program. A football program trying to be accepted into the new PAC 12 conference. Some very shady stuff going on.

It’s been nearly a year we have to remember. A lot more has happened. She was a minor and the accused admitted having sex with her. Over the almost year the girl says she’s been called a liar and that she wanted it by the accused. All that was recorded on tape. This lawyer is unprofessional but his actions the last few days seem desperate. It’s very possible no one ever gets charged. He has seen the bruises and the bloody costume. He heard the players admit having sex with her. What we’re seeing is a desperate lawyer trying to get any type of justice he can for his client. If seems like his goal was to get Araiza cut. It’s possible hearing about the “Punt God”every day is very traumatic for the accuser. Araiza has been all over the national news lately. It likely triggered the reactions from the lawyer. I’ve always believed in cases such as these the accuser and the accused should be anonymous. I understand why they protect the accuser. They should protect the accused until charges are filed. Lives can be ruined, even if the evidence doesn’t support charges. It’s a terrible situation all around.

This actually isn’t true. I don’t believe the Bills knew about the phone calls detectives listened in on. I think that was reported in the civil lawsuit on 8/25. Please correct me if I’m wrong. That would be damaging news if the Bills didn’t know about it.
