I feel the exact same way. The Raven players/coaches just seem so overconfident, all the 'disrespect' doesn't even need to be manufactured - it's all been put out there from all over on a (very full) platter for the players to feast on, the weather being the same as the Patriot Perfect Playoff Game (all I can picture is Lamar huddled on the bench in his ski mask and parka thinking "why am I here"). It's like the perfect storm for a glorified, favored, overconfident team to come into an opposing hostile environment against a super motivated focused team and get their a$$ whooped then wonder "what the hell just happened?!"

I said the same thing earlier in the thread - on RPO plays the Steelers every time just went to tackle Henry with Lamar standing right there (ie., Lamar wasn't in free space and juking and hard to hit). If they are going to run the RPO destroy Lamar at the mesh point whether he hands off or not

As others have said too - if they are going to score, better for them to score quicker and get the ball back in Josh's hands than have them dominate TOP with long sustained drives. Sell out to stop the run - if they complete some passes so be it, and ideally 'bend don't break' and stiffen in the RZ to make them kick some FGs

Someone made a comment in one of the threads that if Balt runs all the RPO stuff that they did against the Steelers - then take your shot at Lamar every single time - it is a free hit. So many time the Steeler just had a guy go after Henry at the mesh point and left Lamar untouched. Make him pay (and hurt) even if he does hand it off - it would have to take his effectiveness away over the course of the game taking hit after hit

I also can see Stroud folding in the big game and the team following - despite all the crowning given to him by the media as a rookie as the next coming he just doesn't give off that steely it factor to me

I'm glad you included Anderson - the jumbo package with him in has been so effective - and it has been cool to see the team use it so much in the regular season as if they were working to perfect it for the playoffs. And the 'reported-eligible' big man TD is still pending! He was definitely going after guys yesterday - exactly what you need in the playoffs is a few guys with a real edge

To me all the over-the-top Surtain stuff was the most absurd - great player sure, but saying that a single DB would "take away half the field" - or single-handedly stop an offense that literally is based on being able to throw to 4/5/6 receiving options every play spread all over the field was kinda crazy

I'm sure he's a good person, but Bowles comes off as the most uninspiring human ever
