  1. Well with 16 points in a game they won by 15, I'd say that puts him at 1-0
  2. Well JP had alot of practice throwing on the run at Tulane!
  3. Was that TD in the last five minutes of the half? Then the replay comes from upstairs and doesn't matter if the Bills have a TO left or not. Don't recall the time?
  4. That's true, but lets blame all 7 years on DB anyway! It makes for better posts.
  5. Interesting comment by Brent Jones. Best he's seen the Bills O-line play in 7 years. Do you think it has anything to do with DB leaving?
  6. Last couple of pases, JP looked like people thought he might. Was holding my breath a couple times. They need to start running the ball more and run out the clock. First half JP looked great though.
  7. One more field goal will likely give Lindell Special Teams Player of the week.
  8. Well I only moved here in 76, so still prior to my time
  9. Love the blue jerseys. I wasn't around here in the 60's so really don't recall seeing them prior. Helmets don't excite me, but love the jerseys!
  10. But, you don't know, maybe he took out an injury insurance policy to protect himself in case on career ending injury?
  11. Yes it is tough because the first part regarding the cap hit is fact, the rest is pure speculation. At most last year there were two kicks missed that could have helped them win a game, though still not certain. I'm all for getting a better kicker, but before I'd spend $1.5 mil, I'd want to make certain it truely is an improvment. And you're suggesting the Bills spend $1.5 mil on that position and bring in a new guy who has very little of a track record. If a guy like Adam Vinaterri was available, I'm sure they'd be willing to take that chance. The thing that scares me about France too as was pointed out the other day, if you recall the first year Moormon was here, by the end of the season his leg was tired from NFL Europe + the NFl season. That happening to a field goal kicker can be even worse.
  12. Prrof positve that in your opinion only Haddad might be better. I think the Bills should have kept Haddad, but not over Reed. I think they should have cut either Fast Freddy or Aiken. Reed Is a very good blocker too.
  13. There's even a local theme with Zippy Chippy!
  14. So where is the link to click on to go to the Game Thread? I don't see anything on the forum page? Is it on another page?
  15. And people were screaming for the Bill's to cut him to when he was here. TD will cut Lindell the second HE feels has a better option.
  16. Yes, he might be better than Haddad, but unless he's willing to sign for the minimum, why pay anymore than that for a person who'll be the backup once Parrish returns. And even if you sign him for the same as, lets say Reed, you still get hit with any signing bonuse left on Reed's contract. You can't afford high paid backups and be successful.
  17. I think there have three QB's inc Matthews. From what I read Jerman may make team over McFarland. I think one less WR and one more fullback likely Burns. One thing I read today too is they could dump Dorenbus and go with Preston as long snapper. He snapped for entire first half on Friday, though he did screw up the extra point somewhat. They may stay with Dorenbus for now, but later on if they need the roster spot may cut him if Preston improves a bit too.
  18. Yeah, but Orton has done all pre-season agaisnt back-ups.
  19. Yes he missed it. The ball was standing perfectly on end when he hit it with his foot. But did you ever think that maybe the fact that the snap was bobbled will throw off the kickers timing a bit. There's no way that miss is on Lindell. That's one of these plays when it's made and most time even after a bobble it is made including some i've seen by Lindell that it's great. But when it's missed, it's not the kickers fault!
  20. Actually I was in Altamonte Springs three weeks ago on the night of the Green Bay scrimmage. I went to a place to watch it, I believe was called the Ale House, it's right next to the Altamonte Mall, and there were a few people there all in Bills gear. Got talking with one guy and he indicated that this place is a regular stop during the season for Bill's fans.
  21. If the Bill's were 10-6 last year, they would have been in the playoffs? 10-6 rarely keeps you out of the playoffs. I believe there have been something like 4 teams EVER that were 10-6 and didn't make the playoffs!
  22. Could be NFL injury rules don't apply for pre-season?
  23. I saw George Seifert at the ariport. He told me it was just a broken nail!
  24. Yeah, but if four of five postions have either stayed the same or improved, you can hide one bad spot. And I'm not so sure how bad it will even be. It may be adequate and that likely is good enough.
  25. I thnk they both are way overrated. What has parsells done when he didn't have Bill Belichick on his sideline? Not all that much it seems. JJ is good at evaluating talent. I'll give him that, but wouldn't call him a great coach..
