  1. I'm not so sure about that. JB was the anti TD. Butler's problem was he was a players type of GM. He could scout talent good but wasn't good at contracts. It seemd he'd give in quicker to get a contract done, but overpay in the process. Yes he could have got the salary cap fixed, but just as quickly got back in trouble again. JB was like an addict who goes to re-hab and comes out clean, but within six months is back to their old habits. I doubt JB could ever resist over paying.
  2. Well again, publicly he has to say that. Whether he thinks they suck or not, he's not going to say that. I doubt players would play very wel lthe rest of the year if he came out and stated so and so is terrible.
  3. I think the Losing Williams has hurt, but coupling that with Milloy, Vincent, and Adams getting a year older is even a bigger problem.
  4. 0:09 to go, you're down by 21 points. Rather than run out the clock, the Bills seem to have a burning desire to run another play; a screen pass? Guess they wanted to give New England something to think about!! Thats the problem with KH, no arm!
  5. Naw, his best play was a a rookie in OT, He made a catch in OT that either went for a TD or set up an easy score after that for the win against Minn.
  6. He was the subject today of a Q&A in todays Rochester paper. I was kind of surprised to hear him say that his favorite sport is baseball. Usually whatever sport a player plays in that's his favorite?? Well leave it to a kicker. Not that I'm complaining, just kind of surpirsed and shocked to hear his honest answer.
  7. Boy I don't know, look at how Marino didn't have any speed after the injury! Actually I tore my Achillis about six months after Marino did, and based on comments he had made on TV and stuff about it feeling like someone kicked him in the back of his ankle, I knew as soon as mine happened, that was what was wrong. My friends thought I was nuts at the time, but thatwas the problem. And I lost my speed too!
  8. Did Fast Freddy just trip over his show laces? Looked like easy first down, didn't think anyone hit him, but he goes down??
  9. Considering this was billed as a defensive battle, you'd expect the Bill's to be stopped often. But since the Bill's D couldn't stop TB much, who had essentially three rookies playing on the line by the way, they limited the chances the offense had. Therefore I place more of the blame on the defensive side for not making any stops.
  10. We may see them, but I doubt it will be next week. I'd predict if at all, either the Denver or KC game
  11. Actually before the game TD stated that this is the last time they can wear them. They may apply for a waiver for a game in the future, but I wouldn't be counting on seeing them next week or anytime soon.
  12. Until the Bills have a better option, Lindell will be here. I don't see where cutting him for some unkown is a step in the direction of goodness. Maybe he doesn't have a long leg, ok, but there is still something to say for being very accurate on shot kicks. Is it better to be worse on short kicks but better on long kicks??? Don't have the answer! I will say this, so far this season, his kickoffs have been longer and he has made a few longer field goals with quite a bit distance to spare. Considering how good the Bills kick coverage is, getting an extra 5 yards on kickoffs this year may translate into on extra TD over the course of the year through better field position.
  13. I thought Greg William's comments were rather interesting, without getting specific about what he did wrong in Buffalo.
  14. Well with 16 points in a game they won by 15, I'd say that puts him at 1-0
  15. Well JP had alot of practice throwing on the run at Tulane!
  16. Was that TD in the last five minutes of the half? Then the replay comes from upstairs and doesn't matter if the Bills have a TO left or not. Don't recall the time?
  17. That's true, but lets blame all 7 years on DB anyway! It makes for better posts.
  18. Interesting comment by Brent Jones. Best he's seen the Bills O-line play in 7 years. Do you think it has anything to do with DB leaving?
  19. Last couple of pases, JP looked like people thought he might. Was holding my breath a couple times. They need to start running the ball more and run out the clock. First half JP looked great though.
  20. One more field goal will likely give Lindell Special Teams Player of the week.
  21. Well I only moved here in 76, so still prior to my time
  22. Love the blue jerseys. I wasn't around here in the 60's so really don't recall seeing them prior. Helmets don't excite me, but love the jerseys!
  23. But, you don't know, maybe he took out an injury insurance policy to protect himself in case on career ending injury?
  24. Yes it is tough because the first part regarding the cap hit is fact, the rest is pure speculation. At most last year there were two kicks missed that could have helped them win a game, though still not certain. I'm all for getting a better kicker, but before I'd spend $1.5 mil, I'd want to make certain it truely is an improvment. And you're suggesting the Bills spend $1.5 mil on that position and bring in a new guy who has very little of a track record. If a guy like Adam Vinaterri was available, I'm sure they'd be willing to take that chance. The thing that scares me about France too as was pointed out the other day, if you recall the first year Moormon was here, by the end of the season his leg was tired from NFL Europe + the NFl season. That happening to a field goal kicker can be even worse.
