  1. Three wasted years waiting on a QB to prove beyond any doubt they can start in the NFL. Meantime, in the interest of not creating a "quarterback controversy" we pass on other opportunities to pickup ANY QB earlier than the 7th round or UDFA's. Graham was the player we traded back into the 3rd round to get instead of Russell Wilson
  2. I'd take a couple of empty beer cans and some used chewing gum over our latest three year mistake.
  3. I'd take Manziel or Hoyer over EJ.
  4. What's with all the moralizing???!!! If Jon Bon Jovi bought the bills and moved them to Toronto, how many on this board would be calling for his hide?? EVERYBODY!!! Pissing on his grave??? Yeah, I'd be a pretty old man by then, but I would happily relieve myself on his tombstone.
  5. I disagree, last year the good defenses we played had no respect for EJ's ability to make the throws down field and stacked the box. This was a big reason that Spiller's big play ability disappeared in a lot of games. Even if we have the best receiving corps in the league, our passing game will be lousy if we don't have a QB that can deliver the ball. Our defense should be good, but we're not talking 85 Bears or Ravens of the late 90's. I just hope that EJ stays healthy this year. Based on what I saw of him last year, he is indecisive, lacks accuracy, is unable to anticipate his receivers breaks and has poor pocket presence. Based on the long list of QB's we've had with similar problems as rookies, I believe the likelihood he will overcome them is very small. The difference is that EJ has great running ability which can mask these flaws, but is also a reason he is injury prone. I want EJ to have every opportunity to prove himself, yea or nay, so the Bills can stick with him or begin thinking about a backup plan. An injury will keep the team and fans in a holding pattern for another year to find out if he is our "franchise quarterback."
  6. Whitner is completely delusional about his talent level. He is an average safety. To me he is, and always be, just another horrible early pick by the Bills.
  7. Hey dork, the term redskin refers to the red war paint they put on their faces.
  8. Who's the tool?? How bout the clown to the left and those such as yourself who worship him.
  9. Throw all those stats out the window. I saw with my own eyes that the guy sucks. He's injury prone. His accuracy sucks. His anticipation sucks. His ball placement sucks. His pocket awareness sucks. We're stuck with him, though. Next season will be another waste because of him. Guaranteed!!
  10. If he was picked in the 4th round, where he should have been, then we'd have used a mid round pick to get an adequate back up qb which is all that EJ will ever be.
  11. Manuel is not a NFL caliber starting qb and never will be for reasons well documented. My only question is can the Bills blame Nix for the bad pick and move on in the next draft to take a genuine NFL caliber qb in the first round?
  12. Manuel IS a franchise qb for a very bad franchise. It's a perfect fit. If they compound their mistake by skipping on a legitimate first round qb in this draft, I will be even more emotionally detached from this team if that were actually possible. Don't blame the line. The defense knows he can't hit the long ball, so they just pin their ears back and go after him.
  13. Manuel will have ups and downs for the next three years showing great promise one week and remarkable ineptitude the next. He will ultimately prove himself incapable of contributing enough to make this an exceptional offense. He will also miss numerous games every year because of injury. We will again be shopping for a qb in three years in the meantime we will lose many of our defensive talent. It's the Bills' way.
  14. This is when this pathetic turd of an excuse for an organization, the Bills get really interesting...It's time to talk about THE DRAFT!!!! Woo hoo!!! We really need a franchise dog. Oh, you say there are only franchise cats available?? How 'bout we draft a mangy mutt in the first round and convince everybody--including ourselves--he's a full breed, show dog.
  15. OJ was a great tv personality!!!
  16. I give him nothing but credit for his ability to school the bills coaches and scouts by convincing them he's a pocket passer and that over the course of a couple months with a qb coach he had greatly improved from that mediocre FSU qb everybody saw on film. No other teams bought his pile of steaming crap, but these geniuses.
  17. Just give him a teleprompter and some people pulling the strings.
  18. That might work, but just one time like Marino faking the spike against the Jets. Then again, he may just drill a line drive through the uprights w/o a rush.
  19. Carroll wasn't arguing about the TO, he was pissed that Bryant got a kick off. Carroll called the TO well before the ball was snapped. Bryant smartly took a practice kick. Carroll is indeed a d-bag.
  20. Rest the starters?? No. Just have Fitzy run the spread and fling the ball around. Also limit Spiller to 9 touches. In other words, just stick with the game plan.
  21. Say what you will about Trent's career; he beat a true wild west gunslinger!!!
  22. No surprise, this is the same crew that handed the Steelers SB XL. Aren't unions great!!!
  23. Chan is grasping at straws when he's says (paraphrasing) "but for a few big plays, we played good defense."
  24. "Wannstedt seldom likes to blitz, though he is doing that more this time around with linebacker rushes. The cornerbacks are asked to play press coverage a majority of the time, with safety help over the top. And the tackles have to take up blockers to keep the linemen off the linebackers, who are asked to clean up against the run". http://www.bostonglo...gNdJ/story.html I just can't conceive how an entire defense with some proven talent can be the worst in league history over the last two weeks???!!!!! Oh, I forgot, it's Buffalo, where miraculously bad things come true!!!.
  25. We know the following: Kyle Williams is a very good player whose got a good body of work Dareus had a very good rookie year. Our LB corps is our greatest weakness. Wannstadt's scheme has always been to have his tackles hold up the lineman so the linebackers are free up to roam and make the tackles. Dareus and Williams both like to use their quickness to slice through the gaps, pressure the qb and wreak havoc in the backfield. Is Wannstadt restraining Dareus and Williams from using their strengths while depending on our lousy lb's to make the plays? It's the only explanation for Williams and Dareus, two quality players, being virtually non-existent.
