A cowpoke's opinion in regards to Gailey: Sounds AWFULLY similar to what Bears fans were saying when Dick Jauron was hired...

The arguments used to discredit Frasier are idiotic
Brand J replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While coordinating a defense with considerably less talent, Frazier wasn't able to get more out of what he had, and was subsequently fired as a defensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals. Perry Fewell did more with less, than Frazier did with his "devoid of talent" Bengal roster. -
I would hate for that watermelon to be my head! Or maybe... But for the record, I believe in ghosts. My mother has had some experiences with them in the past, but all I've ever encountered, were voices whispering in my ear (when no one was around). It's a true story, happened when I was young, and was loud enough to wake me up. I couldn't make out the words though (wasn't English)..

Though I haven't looked it up, I believe it was Randall Cunningham to Moss - during Moss' rookie season and the year Minnesota went 15-1 in the regular season (only to lose to the Falcons in the playoffs, with Gary Anderson's first missed FG of the year).

Marvin Harrison tried to kill someone, then had him killed
Brand J replied to gmac17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We've made it all the way to page 3 and I have yet to see someone state that Marshawn Lynch, or James Hardy, were Harrison's accomplices. Good job! Harrison is guilty and if the thing ever gets to the court, he has essentially hung himself with his statement, "the gun was never taken out prior to today. It has not been fired since 2006 and has been locked up in my safe ever since then." The same gun that was fired at Nixon & the Fat Man, just a day prior. Oh and Harrison was wearing a piece on his ankle when the cops approached him? That's gangsta We need a smiley that shoots machine guns... -
I can't blame the Bills for not taking a tackle in 2008. How did we miss the boat when we had two starting tackles in Peters and Walker? I do blame the Bills for not re-signing Greer and using the McKelvin pick on interior OL or DL, but I can't fault them for not selecting a tackle. They didn't know that Peters would later refuse $9M/yr and demand to be the highest paid OT in the league.

Bills FO, please just hire Perry Fewell already
Brand J replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually liked Perry as our HC, better than I liked him as our DC. The only reason I object to bringing him back, is that I hate the cover two. I agree with a few others, I'd prefer Fewell to Frazier - the guy knows the personnel, has done a decent job with marginal/street free agent level talent, and has HC experience. -
Thoughts on Brady coming to Buffalo
Brand J replied to Trent is Unstoppable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So this is what you do in the offseason Trent? No wonder why you suck... -
You have a lot of time on your hands my man..

Don't know why everyone was so quick to hang Lynch (and still). I knew at the time of her story that something didn't make sense. Yeah I know that he has a past, but don't be so quick to string him up. He is still an athlete that is an easy target, due to his checkered past. That being said, the latest allegation that has come out, seems like it probably happened. The pieces fit his story better and I can see the events unfolding, as he told his story. I'm not running Lynch out of town because he's an !@#$, but I do advocate trading him if the price is right (which it wouldn't be)..

Maybin should have gave money back after his rookie year! In all seriousness, maybe he took too long to sign, because the coaching staff realized he wasn't the player they had hoped that he would be. It was reported during training camp, that Maybin was getting thrown around by OL who didn't even make the final 53. Dick Jauron said himself, "I didn't expect to see much out of him." after the Detroit preseason game.

Drayton Florence Among Lowest In Burn Percentage
Brand J replied to bobcat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McKelvin could've been drafted to replace Clements, but the replacement was already on the roster - Greer. If we had a backfield that lined up McGee, Greer, Florence, Corner, & Lankster, I believe that you are still getting a top notch unit. Unfortunately this year, McKelvin wasn't able to contribute to the defense's pass rank and interception totals, but hopefully the nagging (and big) injuries will be absent next year. It is also true that Florence comes in at half the cost of Greer ($3M/yr), but McKelvin's rookie salary ($5M/yr) almost offsets Greer's salary. -
Drayton Florence Among Lowest In Burn Percentage
Brand J replied to bobcat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oohhh lookie - Greer ranks #2 in lowest burn percentage! Greer should have been given his $6.5M to stay here, thus saving us the McKelvin pick. That pick could've been used to pick up OL or DL. -
I knew he was from Canada and SCTV was part of his rise to fame (and many other comedic stars), but I do miss that guy..

Good point - no mention of how the bill got paid. IMO I think this is a severly overblown story, based on an athlete's reputation. I also like how these Bills fans are so quick to jump on Marshawn without the benefit of hearing both sides of the story. Real fans..

This part of the story doesn't sit right with me.. Playing the situation like a movie in my head, am I to believe that Marshawn took her money, told her, "don't worry" and then the two sat at the table awaiting the friend's return, so that there could be a confrontation? Something is missing in this story - maybe like others have stated - he was playing around and the situation turned serious when the girlfriend returned. I don't know, but something about this story feels inconsistent...

Select the #9 overall pick in the draft!
Brand J replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At almost 50%, I guess the preferred pick will be Rolando McClain. Can't see the overall opinions changing that much... -
If we need an "established" QB.....
Brand J replied to filthymcnasty08's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's see... Trade away a pro bowl RB, a 3rd round pick this year, a conditional 4th rounder next year, for a mystery backup QB?! -
Select the #9 overall pick in the draft!
Brand J replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To keep this thread an accurate cross section of the fanbase, please don't vote for your favorite player 30 times! Once will do just fine Part of me wishes that those on the BB message board would vote here, but more knowledgeable Bills fans reside on this message board.. -
Select the #9 overall pick in the draft!
Brand J replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Keep this thing alive until draft day. Maybe some of our media regulars around here - T. Graham/J. Wawrow - can put out an article close to draft day, stating who the fanbase covets... -
A while ago on one of these threads, I proposed that we select the first pick for the FO. That way, if the pick fails, we only have ourselves to blame - not the front office! Had this method actually been implemented, Ngata would be on this team, Orakpo/Oher (based on the posters here) would have been on this team, Bryant McKinnie would have been on this team, Leodis McKelvin/Marshawn Lynch... well, I'm not too sure about those two. If there is ANY chance that a member of the new FO is perusing these boards, then let the percentages speak! The fanbase has chosen!! Obviously not all of these picks will be available at #9, so in that case, the selection should be awarded to the next available player with the highest percentage. I'm going to assume that we stand pat at #9 and DE/DT N. Suh, DT G. McCoy, and OT R. Okung are off of the board. Also, any player who plays in the secondary has been omitted for obvious reasons...

National Championship - Alabama vs Texas

Whoever is the new coach should look at Ted Cottrell for DC
Brand J replied to gfalk87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are aggressive 3-4 defenses and there are "read and react" 3-4 defenses. Cottrell's defenses were the latter, so he couldn't possibly help in changing things over. We let D. LeBeau get away when we shouldn't have. He runs aggressive 3-4 defenses..
