*EDIT* WITH THE DRAFT 13 HOURS AWAY......
Ramius replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not advocating only little guys with early picks. I'm saying at 8, we have to get an impact player, and cant focus on needs too much when the value isnt there. OC isnt a pressing need, we signed fowler. Yes we do need a LG, and i can see picking up a G in the 2nd round. I know we need D-line help and i'n not saying taking bunkley or ngata would be bad. I think using the #8 on a higher impact player such as huff or davis would be worth much more. As for hutch and bentley, it was obvious bentley was going to cleveland, his hometown, and its foolish to think otherwise. He signed a big dollar deal hours into free agency. If he was about money, he would have played offers against one another. And with hutch, seattle was going to match any offer given to him. The onyl reason they couldnt was because of the poison pill. I dont think for a second they would have hesitated matching the offer sheet he signed with minny. -
Why dont they cut the BS and say that NFL network will be re-airing patriots, cowboys, redskins, and steelers/eagles games every week?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12454358/ Here it is. Not sure what was more surprising, someone trying to block the memorial for those people, or the fact i just saw Heath Shuler's name again, this time running for office.

Ramius replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And i understand yours as well. But we really arent allocating a ton of money to the positions you say we are. High First round picks are really the only picks that demand a whole lot of money. And remember, slotting AND POSITION determine what salary is paid out to the draft picks. A #5 picked QB will get a ton more than a #5 player of a different position. Heres roy williams salaries, and he got about 7-8 mil in guarantees. So figure we'd hand out about 9-10 mil in guarantees for our saferty for the next 12 years. Roy williams (Dallas SS) 2002 1000000.00 2003 366667.00 2004 616667.00 2005 866667.00 2006 1116667.00 2007 1366667.00 2008 1616665.00 Also, the offensive players you mention arent taking up as much room as you say they are. I know willis will get a big deal if he performs, but the others you mention are making peauts. The arent exactly taking up resources. Plus, re-signing clements smartly (giving him a big cap hit this season because we have the space) would help us out as well. *EDIT* WITH THE DRAFT 13 HOURS AWAY......
Ramius replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Safety is a big need position, and when you can get one of the consensus best players at that position, why not take it? Theres not too much of a drop off in line talent, and i dont think any lineman on either side available with be worth the #8 pick. Remember there are 6 other rounds in the draft. Just a hypothetical...would you be pissed if we took huff at 8, then ended up with Spencer/Lutui, Mccargo, and Colledge/Trueblood in rounds 2 and 3? -
good, they stuck it to that assclown pete carroll and USC...

!@#$ TSN...i go out to a bar to watch the sabres game, the one that is supposed ot be televised, and then take it in the pooper, because some mounties decide that they wanna show NJ/NYR on a few more stations... TSN will be getting hate mail from me today...

this argues against your "we're picking ngata" "fact". Next time you post, please include the powerball numbers. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3728

Dbickashaw Ferguson is the Bills pick in several
Ramius replied to firstngoal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2 QB's taken for buffalo would give us either hawk, brick, mario, huff, or davis 3 QB's taken before we pick would give us a choice fomr at least 2 of the above list. Worst case scenario: only leinart is taken, and all of the above guys are gone by #8, and we cant find a trade down partner... -
hell of a classy guy.

No i am not ripping the board. i'm saying that all of the hate about the jerseys that i've encountered has come from the board. most others that i know dont mind or really like the jerseys. I didnt say the message board is out fo touch with real fans either. But the board represents a different demographic of bills fans, the most hardcore ones. The general consensus and opinions here arent always the consensus of all bills fans.

Sabres Game: Campbell just destroyed a Flyer
Ramius replied to Talonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I got destroyed like that too in HS hockey. Took a pass from the defenseman, turned to head man the puck, and got leveled. Snapped the cage off my helmet. But i got up and went to the bench. Only a bit woozy. I did get the pass off tho, which fed our winger on a breakaway. He choked tho, so my getting wrecked was all for naught. The coach gave him all sorts of hell for it. -
C'mon AD, cut him a break. He's just pissed because he was fooled by some texas news station. http://www.team4news.com/Global/story.asp?...76&nav=0w0vbZAB

I agree. I liked the odl jerseys, but we looked exactly like the giants. I like the new jerseys and i like the throwbacks too. I hope we keep the current situation with wearing the throwbacks a few times per year. Also, i dont think this board gives the real representation of how much people like the jerseys. Frankly, most fans dont care that much, and the overwhelming hate for the new jerseys seems to be limited to TBD. Most people i know back home, and some friends i have in other cities have no problems with the new ones.

reason 3,627 why the bills won't leave buffalo
Ramius replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well, i misspoke about time then. what i meant is that the NFL would spin them as going to a nearby city, so that SD wouldnt be "losing" them. Kind of like going from buffalo to syracuse. -
Happy B-Day!

reason 3,627 why the bills won't leave buffalo
Ramius replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Excellent point dave. It would also make sense for the chargers to move because they'd be moving onyl roughly 2 hours away. Tags and the NFL could spin it as the chargers arent "losing" their team so much as its just moving a bit farther away.
