  1. I'm all for slowing down in a work zone, but how are you going to injure workers 4 hours before they actually arrive on the scene?
  2. but they arent going to rely heavily on James Hardy. He does not need to put up eye-popping numbers to be successful. All he needs to do is take a little bit of pressure off of evans. Having him on the field will make defenses worry more about him, thus freeing up Lee and Marshawn.
  3. agreed. especially with severe weather. When there are active hurricanes in the atlantic/gulf, the weather channel is on all the time at my place. (it also helps that my girlfriend is a meteorologist)
  4. until you actually look at the 2 teams, and realize that the bills have many more holes to fill than the colts. a team like the colts that has all the skill position pieces in place can pick and choose which spots they can make minor upgrades at. the bills have needs and holes to fill with actual talent before they can waste resources on minor upgrades. Ever heard of a team only being as strong as its weakest link? well, adding to the top isnt going to improve the weakest link. Prior to the draft, CB and WR were 2 of the weakest links on the team. they were addressed in the draft, which means going into next offseason we will have a new set of "weakest links" to address.
  5. just because the talent is the same, doesnt mean the philosophy of the front office is the same. Last i checked, the scouts found the talent, but didnt make the draft picks.
  6. of course, some people do realize that we completely re-vamped the front office 2 years ago, and they should not be lumped in with the actions of the previous regime. thusfar, this font office has done an adequate job of addressing the lines. as for gandy, theres 1 of 2 possible scenarios 1. he wasnt very good, and the colts expect a 6th round pick to replace him, which doesnt speak highly of his perceived talent 2. Gandy was good, but the colts decided to replace him with a 6th round pick. in this case, they should have spent the pick on another position of need.
  7. agreed. i hope the charter boat comes with paper bags.
  8. so you are saying that every horse has the same odds of winning?
  9. he's so good that they recently cut him.
  10. Regarding your above points: 1. Cops always do the best and appropriate actions to properly diffuse a situation. Cops never act in a way that could possibly escalate an already tense situation. 2. A mad/crazy woman will never exaggerate what happened in the past during a fight. 3. People never recognize what they did wrong and learn from their past mistakes. If you do something once, obviously you are going to continue that behavior for the balance of your lifetime. As a group comparison, i'd wager a guess that the percentage of misbehaving cops and athletes are probably extremely close. Most cops and athletes are well behaved and do what they are supposed to do. Its a small percent that act like a-holes. The difference is, a small percent of misbehaving cops can be covered up by the department, while the small percent of misbehaving athletes are going to get their names tossed all over the media.
  11. where are you going to get a 20-sided coin?
  12. i've seen plenty of it here in tallahassee. A few months ago we had a TPD chief (i believe, maybe it was a sherrif) get nailed for doing 100 on I-10 (70 mph limit) in his personal car. He basically threatened to get the FHP officer fired if he wrote the ticket. I've also seen the local cops ignore the white guy doing 50 in a 30 to nail the black guy doing 33. the good ol' boy network is alive and well in the south.
  13. lets see...proof of the pats* cheating in 2000-2002, and proof of them cheating in 2007. To me, that says they were cheating the entire time, thus nullifying their 3 SB titles. it also calls into question brady's "big game clutch" ability as a QB. I'm sure its much easier to read the defense and make the proper reads when you know exactly where the opposition is lined and where they are going to be covering. dynasty my ass. nothing but a bunch of cheaters. i say strip them of the super bowl titles and ban belicheat.
  14. Shooting on the power play? theres a novel concept. Someone should introduce this new cutting edge offensive strategy to the sabres sometime soon.
  15. i'm guessing you don't or haven't spend much time living in the south.
  16. So Cedric got the ole D.W.B.? or in this case, B.W.B.
  17. rhodes is the other safety i was thinking of. my point was simply that the pro-bowl is a popular vote of well known names, regardless of play. thats why i hate using it as a barometer for how well players perform. Not to mention that with all the drop-outs, lots of underserving players become "pro-bowlers" every single season.
  18. the main problem with using pro-bowls as a requirement is that they are nothing but a popularity contest, and he's going up against polamalu and sanders. Its entirely possible he outplays both of them but would still get snubbed.
  19. I dont mind J-lo, or stephanie abrams. But nicole mitchell is absolutely hideous. My girlfriend watches TWC in the mornings, and nothing gets me out of bed faster than having to wake up to see mitchell's vomit-inducing mug on screen.
  20. I dont dig jen carfagno at all. shes too plain jane and not that attractive. and nicole mitchell is disturbingly ugly. Heather Tesch is probably the best looking girl on the weather channel.
  21. I agree that we need more depth at the OL position, however, its highly foolish to start acquiring early round backups at positions when the team has significant other holes on the 1st string team that need to be addressed.
  22. now if only the weather channel would get rid of the fugliest weather girl on the face of the planet, nicole mitchell.
  23. may be pure stupidity up north, but come take a gander down south. if you even attempt to wear sandals with the full heel strap thingy, you'll be laughed all the way back home. Who the hell wears those big clunky ugly as sin sandals? a good pair of flip-fops is comfortable and they look good. Try these. Notice how they call flip-flops sandals, because no one in their right mind would actually wear sandals. I have a similar reef brand, full with the bottle opener on the bottom. http://www.reef-sandals-online.com/reef-fanning.htm
  24. june 1st cuts have been rendered all but meaningless. teams can now designate 2 players a "june 1st cut" and cut them in march with the same cap relief.
