Disagree with #3. One of my friends was in a custody battle for her kids with the father (both of them adults in their 30s), and he tried to say she was an unfit mother because she allowed the kids (ages 5 and 3) to run around the house in their underwear and eat pop tarts for breakfast. I thought, hell i'm 27 and i eat pop tarts and run around the house in my underwear when the girlfriend isnt around.

So does God cast an absentee ballot? If so, what state does He vote in? -
I think this guy had fun at the Chargers game

Somehow she missed the 9-7 campaign of 2004, and the 11-5 record of 1999.And hell, if we dont count this season, we went 10-6 in 1998. Theres 10 years for ya. Writers that cant bother to fact check simple stats like that lose all credibility. Toss in the fact that he's a canadian and likes soccer, and the guy has no right to even think about writing about football. -
I find it funny that so many of you have such a difficult time grasping the concept that the people getting tax increases are families who make over 250K and individuals who make over 200K. You guys are smart, so why is there such difficulty understanding this simple concept?

Since you are so hung up on stats, does your statistical analysis take into account the numerous times Fred Jackson has rushed for 10 yards on a draw play on 3rd and 12 or longer? The defense is in obvious pass defense, and the Bills are simply trying to get better position to punt. a 10 yard run on 3rd and 12 is worthless in the grand scheme and does nothing but pad stats.

2007 NFL draft: Round 3: Lorenzo Booker, Tony Hunt, Garret Wolfe Round 4: Michael Bush, Antonio Pittman, Dwayne Wright Round 5: Kolby Smith 2006 NFL draft: Round 3: Brian Calhoun, Jerious Norwood Round 4: Michael Robinson, Leon Washington, PJ Daniels Round 5: Jerome Harrison Where exactly are all of these great backs that can be found in rounds 3-5? One of the biggest draft myths is that great talent can be easily found in the middle and late rounds of the draft. Getting a very good player from the middle rounds is close to a 1 in 100 shot.

For all of us "old timers" who hate Miami
Ramius replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Started watching the bills in '87. I have hated miami ever since them. With the patsies* recent illegally-aided success*, i have come to hate them slightly more than the phelons, but i do not hate the dolfags any less. losing them makes my blood boil. -
You could have saved all of us a lot of time by just saying you're friends with VABills.

Their paying the Refs off! Pats "perfect" game???
Ramius replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They ruled he touched the ball prior to stepping out of bounds which makes the play legal. Had he stepped out of bounds and then touched the ball, it would have been illegal touching and a 10 yard penalty. -
Could you say the Titans are the 85 Bears?
Ramius replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not saying lets grab another DB. I'm just laying it out there that there are circumstances where the pick would be warranted. But, you wont get any arguments that we need upgrades along the D front 7 and at TE and OC. And those are more vital than DBs. However, 2 things to remember are that a lot of our draft will depend on what we do in free agency, and try to look at the draft as a whole, focusing on the early rounds (1-3) as poopsed just to round 1. For example, if theres no DL or OL or TE worth taking in round 1, its not worth it to reach for one. -

So you're saying if we draft DB, OL, DL, OL, thats a failure? Tough to make assessments on next year's draft before we go through the offseason. But even if we draft another DB in round 1, its not going to prevent us from getting better. OL value is more in rounds 2-4 than in round 1. -
WHEN WILL DONTE WHITNER MAKE A PLAY
Ramius replied to TheBlackMamba's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Supporting the team is what being a fan is about. Being a fan is cheering on players, not coming on to a message board and telling everyone, "see, i was right, i told you he would suck." Thats nothing but a self-serving douchebag attitude, normally reserved for the likes of deluca, and other various trolls. Whitner gets praise because he deserves it. He's rarely out of position. He's made numerous big plays in stopping the run, etc. He's gotten plenty of deserved praise form the coaching staff, the media, and people on here who know quite a bit about football. Just because Stuart Scott and Deion Sanders haven't told you that he's made "primetime plays" doesnt mean he hasn't. You've got the ESPN mentality that flashy = good (hence your vince young love). But, i expect that little from you, because you're someone who doesn't understand how the talent of a defense can make players appear better or worse than they actually are. And even if you happen to think that he's not deserving of the praise he gets (you've one of the few remaining holdouts, along with your buddy StupidNation, which should tell you how asinine your argument is), what exactly is your goal of coming on here and insisting to everyone that he really sucks and he's not that good? You've also changed your targets on what you are bashing him about. First it was he's a reach, then he doesnt bring 100%, then he doesnt make plays. Your attitude and posting history smacks of someone who is, as i stated above, a self-serving douchebag more concerned with "being right" about your particular analysis (your intense desire to "prove" that marv sucks) than you are concerned about the Bills doing well or you actually making a realistic assessment. -
Could you say the Titans are the 85 Bears?
Ramius replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is the million dollar question. I'd hedging my bet that the injuries are the reason that the defensive scheme is changing. We saw a completely different defense in some of the early games. But some players should be coming back soon, liek McGee, etc. If we get players healthy and the defensive kitty-footing continues, its time to look to the coaches. -

Those picks have hurt us big time. And i'll still stick by the fact that what has done in the bills has not been picking DBs early (which, you have to admit, we are remarkably good at) but has been an overall lack of early picks on the OL, from rounds 2-4. But remember, of tennessee's 2nd round DE picks, 2 are no longer with the team. (odom and laboy signed elsewhere as FAs last offseason, both receiving contracts almost matching kelsay's) -
Alright. I was going for more of Tom's angle in that neither the cause nor the recovery are one person's/party's responsibility. But yes, you are correct that there'll be plenty of people that claim "obama fixed the economy" simply because he was in office when it happened.

Ramius replied to SDS's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"change we can believe in" I believe that a major candidate in this year's race has perhaps used this line a time or 2. Intentional or not, the tie-in was there, and thats where i got it from. -
And precisely ihow s that different than 4 or so posts above where LA does an amazing Stuckincincy impersonation and blames the whole mess on solely the dems?

Actually, take a look at the day 1 (rounds 1-3) numbers. Those are where you can reasonably expect to to get "good" players. Buffalo and tennessee are roughly the same. Tennessee actually has had a higher bust rate of DBs selected than the bills have, as only 1 of the 4 drafted is still with the team. My point was that drafting high DBs isnt going to sink a team.
