I've seen each episode...it's okay, but not nearly as good as BB. There are a couple of interesting participants that have kept it interesting, and things got stirred up with some social issues this week, so I'll probably keep watching. Some of the ideas are clever but I don't know how it will do in the ratings.

I haven't seen a single promo yet, and if not for the Glass House and the controversy surrounding the former BB staffers, I likely would have assumed it wasn't going to be on this year. So glad that it is, though, cause I've really looked forward to it every year since S2. Hopefully they chose a solid cast...can't wait!

Cat buried alive in pipe in concrete

Wow...not to stereotype, but literally every single Mormon I've ever met has been extremely cordial and polite. I certainly differ with them in terms of their theology, but seemingly really great people as a whole. I had no idea there was an extremist wing. -

Extremist mormons? WTF -
Dude, I've been in that position myself so I can definitely assure you that he considered you a godsend. I felt completely helpless at the time, so when someone did for me what you did for this guy, it meant a ton. Very nice touch giving him the cables to take with him.

Today I had one of those weird "coincidences" happen so thought I'd share it with you guys and maybe hear about some of your experiences. I've been waiting for the USPS to send me a reimbursement check to cover some damage they caused to a package of mine. I headed over to take my trash to the compactor, stopped to get my mail, and sure enough there it was. I decided to head over to the bank since I was already out but realized I had no gas. I typically will pay at the pump, but there was a note to go inside to run credit card payments. So into the mart thing I go, and all of a sudden I just felt the urge to pick up a 2-litre of mountain dew. That wouldn't ordinarily be significant, except for the fact that a friend of mine was heading home with some pop she picked up for me earlier. So I picked up the mountain dew, paid for the gas, and then headed to the bank. To get to there I have to get on and off a small highway, and as I entered the exit ramp I saw a man at the end of it by the light holding up a sign. I tend to see people doing this when I'm in Atlanta, but can't remember ever seeing anyone doing it way up here in the burbs, about 45 mi north of the city. The sign indicated he was homeless and seeking change, which I didn't have (do people still pay with cash anymore?), but I saw the mountain dew sitting on the passengers seat. I pulled up, rolled down the window, and asked if he was thirsty as I handed him the dew. As many of you know, the weather around the country has been uncharacteristically hot, even reaching into the 100s over the last week or so. Today was another hot one for sure. Anyway, the look on this guy's face just said it all. I could be completely wrong, but I just didn't see the face of a drug abuser or someone else trying to find money for a vice. The look in his eyes really seemed to convey his sincerity in just needing a little help, and even though I couldn't provide that monetarily, the gesture was received with significant appreciation on his part. When I look back on how all these steps in my outing sort of came together like that, it's completely surreal.

I never cared for Sampras either. I was an Agassi guy. I don't mind cockiness...I don't mind arrogance...that's an aspect of sports that I consistently support. I just don't like spoiled little babies who whine when they don't get their way. Amen brother!

I don't hate Federer the person, I hate Federer the sports figure...just as I do the Pats. As for his greatness, I think he's certainly deserving of being in the conversation for one of the greatest grass court players of all time, but he's not on my list of the top overall players in history. Michael Chang > Federer He definitely deserved to lose...he was only really there to begin with because Nadal sharted himself in the 2nd round. It is, I agree...but it's just a fan site, so can't really expect much. For me, though, there are more than enough direct quotes from Federer to support my position of douchery. And this is coming from someone who likes Rex Ryan.

Amazing... This video reminds me of a time when I was sitting on the beach at night during my trip to Hawaii in 1987. I was 15 years old and I remember being completely and totally in awe of the immensity of the ocean. I looked off into the horizon on a really clear, beautiful night and realized just how incredibly minute I was compared to the size of the Pacific. I thought about just how far it was from my little spot on the beach allllll the way across to the next beach. Seeing the oceans from the ISS just reminds me of that feeling...pretty intense. Thanks for posting

Wow, that is amazing...actors that I grew up watching are really getting up there. I never knew Dustin Hoffman was as old as he is, but he's in his 70s. Clint Eastwood is really getting up there too, but I think he'll clear 100 no problem. Hell, I can't believe I'm 40!!

Getting older is a sumbitch... I can't believe Tom Cruse is 50 (23 in alien years)

Interesting...didn't know that

He's a complete baby when he loses and an arrogant jackass when he wins. If you watch his speech on-court after the win today, instead of being a gracious winner (which he feigns, to his credit), he starts talking about his accomplishments. If you're ASKED about them, that's fine. But for him to start going on about how he's now tied with Pete Sampras as having won the most Wimbledon titles and how he has regained the #1 spot in the rankings. It would be like Tom Brady getting up there on the podium with Goodell after winning the SB and, without being prompted, talking about how awesome he is for having won the MVP award and how he's likely going to be viewed as one of the greatest QBs in history after winning 3 championships. The guy puts on a facade well, but he's nothing but a gloating, arrogant prick...in my opinion EDIT: Looks like it's this guy's opinion, too....and he states the case with plenty of examples of Federer's douchery: http://www.murraysworld.com/columns/article/20600/ EDIT2: Looks to be Ofiba's opinion, too

Exactly...that's why I've taken an interest in kosher meats. One of the tenets of kosher preparation (that I didn't know until last year) is humane slaughter. No way in hell I'm watching that

What the hell? I just saw him on an interview with Bill O'Reilly and he looked great...must have been a re-broadcast or something. RIP, Mr Borgnine!

Stevie rules!! Looks like he doesn't give a flying fart that he's blind...watching him play in that open space, there's no way you'd even know he couldn't see until he was right up next to you. I had to laugh the other night...I had some food delivered and the delivery lady saw my dog and the puppy I'm raising...she was telling me that she ended up with some unwanted pups and that they were pitbull/weiner dog mix...that must be one hell of an interesting dog!

Yeah, the replay indicated it was worse than I thought...I think this match is over...Federer just broke him after like 10 deuces, so he'll likely finish out the set and go up 2-1...will be very hard for Murray to take two more off of him at this point. Was a valid effort, though...he has done better than I expected.
-
That is absolutely unbelievable...seeing her all cleaned up and happy in the end made my day...great story!!!
-
This is so frustrating. Murray all of a sudden decides to go to the net toward the end of the first set and he ends up winning it. Then in the 2nd he establishes a high percentage of net points won, but he's only going to the net half as often as Federer...makes no sense. Murray has GOT to get off the damn baseline...this isn't the French Open!!
-
As someone who has lived and driven all over the eastern half of the US, I completely agree. I've never encountered so many a-holes as I have since moving to Atlanta. This sort of nonsense occurred far less often back up north. I'm a very aggressive driver, but I don't instigate. Even though it's annoying to have someone slow in the left lane, I don't do as some others do and get right up on their arse...I still keep a good distance back and then pass when I can. People down here just have no clue, especially when there is inclement weather. On top of that, people rubber-neck down here to the point of absurdity. You could just have a simple traffic stop and people will creep on by trying to get the best view they can no matter how uneventful it is. I can't begin to count up how many times traffic has come to a near stand still, only to realize that it was a single car pulled over by a single cop with absolutely nothing going on. It's just ridiculous.
-
So far there are some big problems with Murray's game...he's benefited from some uncharacteristic mistakes by Federer, and that won't last. Also, Murray HAS to get to the net. You aren't going to win this match playing from the baseline. To make matters worse, his passing shots are awful. On a positive note, his serve looks to have a lot of pace and for the most part his ground strokes have been solid. His aggression is good, but if he can't play a complete win he'll come up well short. I really can't stand Federer. He's like the Patriots of tennis.

I KNEW it!!

Amen. The other day I was stuck behind this one vehicle camped out in the left lane, and there was too much traffic to pass on the right. I waited until I had the opportunity, moved one lane to the right and started to pass the car that was ahead of me in the left. The idiot starts speeding up to the point where he's equaling my speed, and then I'm stuck having to move back in behind him when I come up to another car in front of me in the right lane. People seriously need to get more of a life if this is the sort of thing that allows them to get their rocks off. I absolutely hate Atlanta traffic and I'm thankful that I get to drive to and from work during off-hours.
