  1. Esche is playing great. It's probably gonna be a long shot from Lydman. (As it mostly the case in the playoffs...)
  2. Yeah. There isn't the wide amount of gas prices from the one and only stop gas places, to metropolitan areas. I think Yosemite was in the $3.70 - $3.75 range.
  3. That murder was something like 4 miles from my house. Daniel Horowitz is the lawyer, Pamela Vitale was the murdered wife. I see the point of what everyone says regarding the negative issues of Nancy. I find her show entertaining and funny. I do find it very weird that she can go from vicious dog Nancy to compassionate angel Nancy in a matter of seconds. Odd...
  4. Slightly off topic, but how much is gas in Furnace Creek?
  5. Eastern Conference 1 Ottawa vs 8 Tampa Bay - Ottawa in 5 2 Carolina vs 7 Montreal - Carolina in 4 3 New Jersey vs 6 NY Rangers - New Jersey in 6 4 Buffalo vs 5 Philadelphia - Buffalo in 5 Western Conference 1 Detroit vs 8 Edmonton - Detroit in 6 2 Dallas vs 7 Colorado - Dallas in 7 3 Calgary vs 6 Anaheim - Calgary in 5 4 Nashville vs 5 San Jose - San Jose in 4
  6. UConn James runs a website that he wanted no one to know about. Too late...
  7. Thought about going, and contacted AKC about it, but I'm gonna have to pass. Gotta work for 2 weeks straight just to get caught up. (Damn rain!)
  8. I think I still have time... Sep 10 @New England LOSS Sep 17 @Miami - WIN Sep 24 N.Y. Jets - WIN Oct 1 Minnesota - LOSS Oct 8 @Chicago - LOSS Oct 15 @Detroit- WIN Oct 22 New England - WIN Nov 5 Green Bay - WIN Nov 12 @Indianapolis - LOSS Nov 19 @Houston - LOSS Nov 26 Jacksonville - LOSS Dec 3 San Diego - LOSS Dec 10 @N.Y. Jets - LOSS Dec 17 Miami - WIN Dec 24 Tennessee - WIN Dec 31 @Baltimore - LOSS 7 - 9
  9. I think it's important to seperate L.A. from California. There are many, many nice areas of the Los Angeles Basin, but there are enough areas to give you that ucky feeling. I've often said in jest, that if L.A. was ever hit by an earthquake, the only thing that needs to be rebuilt is I-5, expanded to 10 lanes in each direction, so it makes the trip from Northern California to San Diego faster.
  10. Yet people do care. If you want to point to a single cause to make your case, look at Giambra. He was all about consolidation, and look at where Buffalo and Erie County are now. I still have family and good friends in Buffalo, and they care. The city does care about the level of crime and lack of money the region has. The area is depressed, which makes the Bills and the Sabres all that much more important to the region. Many in the area have to save for a long time just to take a vacation. Many forego vacations in order to buy season tickets for the Bills. Loosing the Bills in Buffalo would make Buffalo and Erie County a ghost town. That sounds silly, but that is a possibility.
  11. I think the Los Angeles Bills of Compton fits.
  12. This brings up a great question. I know the national T.V./Radio market ratings do not include Southern Ontario. Does NFL Numbers in terms of "fanbase" include all those from Canada that make the trek to Orchard Park?
  13. I would believe that if Ralph was all about the money, we would have been seeing the Charlotte Bills going to 4 Superbowls, instead of the Buffalo Bills. Aging stadium, no real support for State and Local financing to build a new stadium, Charlotte with a hunger for a football team, and plans for a great new stadium, etc. Although your ideas for other rallies make perfect sense, was was stated above makes more sense to not only Bills fans, but to the makeup of Buffalo.
  14. I'm kinda like the 1pm starts. Here in Walnut Creek, that be 10am. That means I get to leave McCovey's before all the Raider and 49ers fans fill the place. Cool!
  15. Anyone else see that?!?! It didn't look like much, but how close he was to the net, and how he was able to make enough contact to get the puck to react like that, well it's amazing!!! Probably one of the top 3 goals I've seen! The quick description. Thorton and Jonathan Cheechoo are on a 2 on 1. Cheechoo takes the shot, stopped by Kings Goalie Garon, but Cheechoo gets the rebound. He passes it out in front, but it hops up to about stomach level when Thorton receives the pass. Thorton literally cross-checks the puck over Garon's shoulder into the top of the net.
  16. Just name it Bills Stadium. We could just call it BS, and it would be all encompassing.
  17. Shoot the wad (and I'm not referring to the honeymoon night!) Do New Zealand or Australia. Make it a once in a lifetime experience.
  18. TBD can make you forget to change your shirt.
  19. Much congrats!!! It is the best experience you could ever ask for!!! If you thought you were hopelessly in love with her the first time she looked at you, just wait until the first time she looks at you, and smiles!
  20. The longer you keep Moulds around, the longer you keep the next "Moulds" off the roster. Moulds is a good receiver, but it's time for him to go somewhere else.
  21. I guess the Higgy's like being not seen? March 27, 2006 Higginbothams missing ... again By Robert Plain Ashland Daily Tidings Elbert Higginbotham and his wife Rebecca Ann Bess were missing for 17 days before they were found. Now they are, again, missing. Jackson County Sheriff’s Department had obtained an arrest warrant for the pair, but when deputies went to pick them up today, they were no longer at either of the Ashland addresses where they had been staying. One of the deputies who went to arrest them confirmed that they had picked up their now-famous RV last night. “Maybe they are heading back to Arizona to take care of this,” he said. Ed Hill, father of the Higginbotham’s daughter-in-law, said the Arizona couple left on Sunday night, after retrieving their motorhome. “They got on the freeway and headed north,” he said. “They might be almost to Canada by now. Oregon doesn’t want them and Arizona doesn’t want them either. We gave them $38 for gas — it’s all we had.” He added that he was not particularly sad to see them go. “I’m glad I only met him once,” Hill said, noting that Higginbotham’s alleged criminal past has cast a dark shadow over the rest of the family’s harrowing and heroic adventure. “I feel a lot better now that the stress is off the kids.”
  22. Go ahead and have fun! Just make sure you cut it back with no more than an 1/4 inch left on the branch, or you'll be doing this again in a couple of years. Do it fairly soon. Not during the summer when it's too damn hot, and heat stress could cause issues down the line.
  23. I wish!!! Actually, I think this has been building for years! We're both Master Gardeners, and our business is in Landscape Detail. (Border color, disease/insect control of plants, minor irrigation repairs, etc.) She's been doing this for damn close to 25 years. She first felt a major turn in her shoulder though, when she went to L.A. over last Labor Day to help move stuff out of her mom's home to get it ready for sale.
  24. Not only cooking and laundry, but since we're self employed, well, I'll be working, then cooking, then cleaning the house, then laundry, then shower help, then I scream!!!! The good news (lemonaide out of lemons) is that when she gets better, she'll agree for me to see a Bills game in Buffalo! (She no likes the football. She is all about the baseball, and cries at the end of every World Series regardless of the winner, because Baseball season is over.) Thank you everyone for your views on this. We're both just sitting here with the realization that life is gonna be "interesting" for the next 6 months or so.
