  1. I got inspired.
  2. Brokeback Stanley? Let's hope they didn't have to call a Blacksmith like Messier and the Rangers had to, after Stanley went to a NYC Strip club...
  3. I blame this all on Dan Gross! He called the new Sabres Logo a Banana Slug. My wife has a Masters degree in Political Science from U.C. Santa Cruz. Their logo? You guessed it! Banana Slug's rule!!!
  4. ST. LOUIS -- Veteran defenseman Jay McKee agreed to terms on a four-year, $16 million contract with the St. Louis Blues on Saturday. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2507158 And... http://www.nhl.com/news/2006/07/276408.html It's 4 Million per year.
  5. See the new Sabres logo?
  6. Hermosa Beach is awesome! If (and only if) time permits, make the 3 plus hour trip south, and kick around in San Diego. If it's your first time in Ca., a necessary evil would be a drive down Hollywood Blvd. It's something to be seen, but only once. Venice Beach is also very recommended. Did I mention San Diego? <---- Needs to make plans to move about 11 hours south...
  7. There is only one, and one reason why the Sabres are doing this. Mad Goat Head Sabres Logo + Larry Quinn = Too much of a reminder of Doug Moss. Quinn has done a lot of great things. Bringing back the Blue and Gold would be fantastic (partly because there are real gold tiles in the Sabres home dressing room, and Quinny needs to justify the cost of those 10 plus years later?) But it would not be surprising for me at all for Quinn to remove the last remaining thumbprint of the Doug Moss era, which would be new uni's. IMHO, not necessary.

Guess it's pretty true, but I'll find more links if more proof is needed...

  10. Well, as a shot in the dark, and something I don't do hardly at all, I wrote to Nancy Gay, who wrote the piece I had quoted earlier in this thread about DeBartolo and Policy buying the Raiders and moving them to L.A. (San Francisco Chronicle). Here's the highlights of her reply. At the NFL owners meeting in March, there was a lot of talk about what existing team would move to L.A. The Bills were not even brought up as one of the teams suggested for relocation. I mentioned in my initial email, that the Bills are so interwoven into the fabric of the Buffalo/WNY community, that if the Bills left, Buffalo would never recover. The NFL realizes this. As it was told to me, the NFL isn't even considering moving the Bills, because "the NFL knows it would sustain a massive public relations hit to even consider moving that franchise." In regards to the California based NFL teams, the NFL sees all 3 teams, (Raiders, 49ers, and Chargers) with horrible stadium situations, declining attendence, and continious TV blackouts. Although the NFL considers San Diego a great host city for a Super Bowl, it won't even consider another SB in San Diego because Qualcomm is "archaic". She sumed it up by saying that the Bills remaining in Buffalo is "quite safe".
  11. I've been hearing a LOT of talk about San Diego, Jacksonville, and New Orleans relocating to L.A.. Yesterday, there was a report in the S.F. Chronicle stating that Eddie DeBartolo and Carmen Policy want to buy a current team, and their object of desire is the Raiders. Article here. I've neard nothing about the Bills moving. It's starting to appear that the Bills are not even an appleaing option for a L.A. team. There has been absolutely no mention of the Bills in regards to the NFL and L.A.
  12. Man. I need to vent a bit. Hasn't been really fun for the past 2 weeks. My Rush sites completely dissapear on May 5th. I contact my webhost, and they say that they are doing a server migration, and that all the sites would be off for no longer than 4 days. Although I am pissed, I realize that there is nothing I can really do. Plus, there was no advanced notice for this. I come to learn that my hosting company (managed.com) was purchased by WebHostPlus. They are located in New Jersey, and they decided that instead of having a bunch of clients in N.J. and California, that they would just unplug everything, and fly all the hardware to New Jersey, plug everything in, and hope for the best. (Seriously. Someone was told this.) Here we are on May 17th. The server is not up. They had the wrong IP listed for my server. Other clients are loosing all of their data. It's very possible that 6 years of posts on my messageboard are gone. Oh. Every email, every promise of a return phone call, every support ticket, has been ignored. Promises of "your sever will be located, tested, and back on-line by 5PM today", have come and gone. When we call back, a different person says "what do you want us to do? There's a lot of other people in the same boat as you". On a Web Hosting forum, we were gathering serious support for a class action lawsuit, when the owner came in, and promised everyone that he will get their servers up personally. Of course, one client got their informtion, and a "hardware upgrade" gave them a whole other complete hard drive with someone's information. Another client had their hard drive installed on someone elses computer, and the other people is using the other guys information (and data client list). So, just imagine TBD, either being controlled by someone who thinks football is the tournament played next month, or every single posts are gone forever. That is probably what is going to happen to me...
  13. It will be Las Vegas. Mayor Goodman is hard up on getting a professional franchise in Vegas. It really doesn't matter to him if it's MLB, NBA, or NFL. He just wants a team. This article talks about the Chargers now possibly staying in San Diego County, due to the county amending their lease. Who contacted them about the Chargers relocating in Vegas? Good old Oscar Goodman. Who's to say that Goodman also hasn't already contacted Ralph, and would be ready to scoop the Bills to Vegas when Ralph passes on? It's a thought, and a valid idea.
  14. Mr. Mortensen cannot be reached this morning. He has crawled up Mr. Donahoe's rectum, and will be detained there for some time. Sincerely, ESPN.
  15. Look here, and all your sexual irrelevant fantasies will be fulfilled.

  19. You would think... It's Williams.
  20. Kyle Williams, DT - LSU per Chris Brown's blog.
  21. This one is great!
  22. Yeah. All really bad picks with no possible impact to the teams that selected them... Great find!!!
  23. Have you heard of Free Agency...
  24. Exactly. I was attending to my daughter who wanted me to watch Blue's Clues with her. What did TD's love gobbler say this time?
