  1. Because that’s what REAL FANS DO. They give their team the benefit of the doubt no matter how many times that team proves, unequivocally and in spectacularly awful fashion, that it does not deserve the benefit of anyone’s doubts. Don’t agree? Get off the bus you fake fan.
  2. Not cool, starting a thread about a draft pick’s face...
  3. Intelligence and processing speed are two different things. I'm sure he's a very smart cat. Can his brain work more quickly to process information and translate it to his body? That's a really hard thing to improve.
  4. Actually the question is how much rope will this coaching staff get? Because once they change coaching staffs and schemes, all of these picks are on borrowed time.
  5. KTD - you promised me Mayfield would fall out of the top 10... I'm still sore.
  6. "He has to become quicker mentally to develop into a quality NFL quarterback." Sure, that's happened, ever.
  7. You really have ruined a wonderful thread about the blank expanse of blinking nothingness that is Josh Allen's Face. Shame on you.
  8. Because this franchise was finally in a position to fix its passing game and whiffed. Because this franchise is not in a position to be taking huge risks at the most important position on the field. Because the consensus of pretty much everyone is that the guy they picked needs time to develop and would benefit from an established structure, a capable veteran starter in front of him, and a good QB coach. We have none of that. Because we've seen this movie before.
  9. This. Why even have an analytics department if you're going to throw analytics totally out the window when decision time comes?
  10. It’s like someone drew a face and then erased most of it.
  11. Takes like these are so tired.
  12. Why don't you address my point at face value. I would be critical of two different paths - not taking a QB at all (which they wisely didn't do), or trading a bunch of assets for the riskiest QB pick in the draft (which they did do). There were many other paths I wouldn't have criticized, like drafting Rosen, trading up for Darnold, trading a couple of 2s for Nick Foles, etc. You're such a cranky skin sore.
  13. The issue is RISK. Is this an organization that can afford to take a big risk at the QB position? I say it isn’t. Safer options were available, like trading likely fewer assets for the guy who just won the Super Bowl, or drafting the guy whose stats actually project a safer path to success (Rosen). Or hedging that big risk by holding onto your current starter for one more year while your risky developmental pick learns. Beane took a big risk and I think it’s not the right strategy for a franchise that hasn’t had a pro passing game since the early 1990’s.
  14. It freaks me out that I’ve seen Josh Allen’s face hundreds of times in the predraft process and yet I still have no idea what he looks like. His face has no discernible features. It’s like an unfinished police sketch of a SIM character. Discuss.
  15. They think they’re smarter than everyone else. The results suggest otherwise.
  16. You lost your fastball Steve.
  17. Pegulas learned NOTHING from the Tim Murray debacle. Stop handing the keys to neophytes.
  18. Tell me they wouldn’t have been better off sending both seconds to Philly for Foles?
  19. He doesn’t have them here either so...
  20. When is the last time the Bills went against the grain and picked a player with horrible advanced stats - and it worked out?
  21. Beane should work on his resume - he’s toast.
