  1. Spain was throwing pancakes. But he did get pulled for Bates at the end of the game, perhaps just rotating.
  2. Stared them down the whole time.
  3. Could’ve been winded or overheated.
  4. Multiple catches today that would’ve won the Houston playoff game.
  5. Honestly looked like the defender ran right into him and he put his shoulder out to protect himself. If he doesn’t do that he gets himself lit up so I’m not sure what they expect him to do. Maybe that’s the rule but if so it’s a bad rule. But I don’t think he “initiated” contact and also Jerome Boger is the worst referee in all of sports including pee wee football.
  6. Odds aren’t looking good for Knox making it as a TE.
  7. What I said in the injured linebackers thread - good that it happened early in the season and could force McD to let his offense win a divisional game on the road, which goes against all his natural instincts. IT IS TIME.
  8. Allen, Diggs, Motor, Bass, Addison
  9. Looked like Big Ben in his prime throwing to AB and Sanders.
  10. Forcing the ball to Diggs isn’t working.
  11. This game is a McDermott/Frazier special. So many terrible coaching decisions.
  12. This is one of those games. Coaching really letting us down.
  13. Frazier is having his lunch money taken.
  14. Defensive scheme has been the issue today, and a little bit tackling - NOT the linebackers.
  15. Fitz is really starting to look like Poseidon...
  16. He looked shook. And there weren’t even fans in the stadium...
  17. Well-coached team needing a win in their home opener against a division rival, 97 degrees or whatever, have the man corners to match up, have a streaky vet QB with his favorite OC who excel in the screen game which by the way our linebackers are out. Plus we don’t have a kicker. Still think the Bills should win but I think it’ll be like a 21-20 squeaker.
  18. Do the folks who always believe conspiracy theories ever pause and wonder why (i) they are almost always disproven, and (ii) the people allegedly behind the conspiracies (like the NFL and the Federal government) are so utterly incompetent they can barely pull off doing their jobs in the broad daylight, let alone a carefully orchestrated deception or coverup?
  19. Agree and after Thursday night I will add this: The NFL is full of exciting young QBs for the first time in my lifetime. For decades there were only 3-6 truly special QBs in the league at any given time. Now we’ve got: Mahomes Watson Allen Baker Burrow Murray Lamar J Dak Wentz Plus older but no less exciting QBs: Rogers Wilson Cam Stafford Ryan And the old but still very capable: Brady Brees Big Ben Rivers That’s like 2/3 of the league with good QB play and then you’ve got competent starters like Tannehill, Fitz, Darnold (maybe), Jimmy G., Cousins, etc. The NFL is super fun to watch right now and it’s because we may be witnessing the Golden Age of Quarterbacking.
  20. Last week he may have begun his transformation into Big Ben II. That’s what I want to see continue - can Allen become a true surgeon as a passer and put the entire offense on his back? It’s time to find out.
  21. Parker is definitely playing.
  22. Gaskin worries me a bit. This is a must-win game for Miami, home opener, veteran QB, and an OC who loves the screen game - not ideal to be missing your top two LBs. Just need to score a bunch of points I guess. Wouldn’t kill McDermott to have to trust his offense to win an early-season road game against a divisional opponent - goes against all of his natural instincts.
