Restricted free agents (RFAs) are players who have three or fewer accrued seasons of service and whose contracts have expired. RFAs have received qualifying offers from their old clubs and are free to negotiate with any club until a deadline which occurs approximately a week prior to the NFL Draft (for 2012 the deadline is April 20th), at which time their rights revert to their original club. If a player accepts an offer from a new club, the old club will have the right to match the offer and retain the player. If the old club elects not to match the offer, it may receive draft-choice compensation depending on the level of the qualifying offer made to the player.

That said... anyone who can seriously attempt to make any argument why we should not want Polian back is completely out of their gourd. Polian is one of the greatest team builders the league has ever seen, period. Just for the sake of argument... IF Polian did come back, we would be a contender again in short order.

Well, Mr. WEO, the facts are the facts. You put Boise State against the top teams in Major conferences and they have consistently beaten them. You put Boise State against a mid tier team from an AQ conference, and you witness a beat down like last night. It's obviously not conjecture at this point... it's just what happens.

Obviously we can't have a Boise State thread without YE OLE interjecting (Where ya at Dayman/Nightman?) This season Boise knocked off Georgia, who ended up 10-3 and played in the SEC Title Game. In 2010 Boise knocked off VA Tech, who ended up 11-2 and played in the Orange Bowl In 2009 Boise knocked off Oregon, who ended up 10-2 and played in the Rose Bowl In 2008 Boise won AT Oregon, and that team ended up 9-3 and ranked #15 that year Harkening back to your original statement of "Regularly beaten - once a season they beat top top 25 teams that often fall out of the top 25 as the season goes on and it is realized they were overhyped early" ... you would have to agree is factually incorrect, would you not?

In all fairness, it would appear that the winless Colts are only a Peyton Manning away from being a SB contender.

It seems to YE OLE that Tebow is becoming the the Doug Flutie of this generation... purely from an on the field stand point. The polarization these two cause is unlike any other. You either love them or hate them. Either you believe they "just win" or you believe they are an embarassment to the position of QB. Personally, YE OLE enjoyed watching Flutie play, and YE OLE has come to enjoy watching Tebow play. What is bizarre is why so many people care to continue to tell us why Tebow can't make it. Either he will make it or he won't, but it's odd that so many of his critics seem so vested in it. It's a strange phenomenon... some people around here actually seemed pissed off every time the Bills won with Flutie under center too.

I'm with you Jersey... There's clearly something wrong with the psyche of this team. What's odd is, at the beginning of the season the exact opposite was the case. They fought back from large deficits and we praised them for playing hard. Even last season when they were 4-12, they fought hard every game and gave teams like the Ravens and Steelers all they could handle. Right now they'd lose by 40-50 to those teams. What the hell is going on here?! We've seen a lot of bad football over the last decade, and we've all been more than frustrated, but the last 3 weeks are the worst stretch I've ever seen from this team. They're just not even trying. I remember a lot of bad football, but nothing quite like this. I've never been at a point like this where I have ZERO desire to watch this team even play, and I'm almost there right now. It's not the fact that they're losing it's the way they're losing.

From YE OLE's perspective there is something seriously wrong internally with this team. There have been significant injuries, no doubt, and one could argue the book is out on how to defend Gailey's system on offense. That would all make sense if we were losing games by reasonal margins. However, we've lost the last 3 games by over 27 points per game against teams who have a collective record of 14-16. And oh by the way... Washington, who we trounced the last time we won, just went to OT with Dallas yesterday, who we didn't belong on the same field with. We have Miami players going around saying that our guys "laid down" yesterday, to boot. What is going on here? I expected we might see some growing pains and lose some games, but there is not any explanation for looking like a college team for 3 straight weeks. We went from 5-2 to not even being able to compete? These guys could not look worse if they were trying to throw these games. This isn't a question of losing out anymore... this is a question of can we lose by less than 3 or 4 TD's to anyone left on the schedule?

If Perry "Fossil" Fewell were here, we'd be 9-0 right now.

What is the purpose of this? It seems very random.

Can you imagine if they even hold on to their position right now and end up as the 1/2 seed... can you imagine a divisional playoff game and dare YE OLE say, AFC Championship game back at the Ralph? It's been so damn long. Nobody remembers what it's like to come to Buffalo in January. I can only imagine the atmosphere at the stadium if this thing goes down.
