  1. How could you not get excited about a young LB in his prime, who led his team in tackles last year, possibly becoming a Bill? That excitement triples when you realize that he'd be putting Keith Ellison back to reserve duty, finally.
  2. He'll be a starting QB in either the UFL or CFL. Bank on it.
  3. How about Maurice "Not Beanie" Wells
  4. Oh wow! We're bringing in Cullen Harper? He's one of the cream of the crop, undrafted QB's. He's usually ranked in the top 10 or so QB's available in the '09 draft. Almost always above Drew Willy. http://www.draftcountdown.com/rankings/qb.php Another interesting tryout is De'Cody Fagg (save the immaturity), the WR from Florida State. He was invited to the combine last year and completely destroyed his knee. His career was considered over before it even started. Apparently, he's made a miraculous comeback: http://www.tampabay.com/sports/colleges/article975122.ece Too bad we're stacked at WR. He was a stud in college and a top prospect before the combine incident.
  5. No, I still prefer who we took and I find the Madden card interesting because it echoes the thoughts of the many. Orakpo is a better all-around player (right now). But if you're looking for pass rush first and foremost, like us, Maybin's got it all over him in burst and moves.
  6. Aaron Maybin - http://ll-100.ea.com/cem/u/f/GPO/easports....aaronMaybin.jpg Eric Wood - http://ll-100.ea.com/cem/u/f/GPO/easports....ds/ericWood.jpg Brian Orakpo has an 82 rating compared to Aaron Maybin's 78. However, Aaron has an 87 rating on "Finesse Moves" and an 84 on "Speed" versus Orakpo's 66 and 83. Long story short, it looks cool
  7. If he doesn't get reinstated in the NFL and/or a team doesn't want him, he'll go to the UFL. They need the star power in their league.
  8. I'd much rather have a proven pass rushing hybrid who could possibly go down then start the season with Keith Ellison.
  9. Uh..... nah dude. Butler was our starting RG last year and did a pretty bang-up job. You certainly do not draft a lunch pail interior lineman in the first round of the draft and make him ride the pine.
  10. Demetrius Bell is not ready to just jump into the starting LT spot. Even Jason Peters started at RT before being moved. I'm not even sure if Bell had ANY regular season action on any part of the line last year, let alone Left Tackle. He may have all the potential in the world, but you don't just throw him into the fire like that. Furthermore, Brad Butler has quietly turned into a very good offensive lineman. Honestly, he was arguably the most solid out of anyone last year. He certainly does not deserve to be benched. If anything, he'll be getting a promotion to RT, not a demotion.
  11. I feel we've had a helluva draft so far. But i'm wondering why we drafted almost everyone at different positions then they did in college? Aaron Maybin - Our pass rusher. Was a DE in college. Buffalo sent out their text alert stating we drafted "LB Aaron Maybin" Eric Wood - A premier Center in college. However, Jauron in his interview stated we'll stick him in at Guard. Jairus Byrd - A top 5 ranked CB prospect. Chris Brown stated he'll most likely be playing at Safety in Buffalo. Andy Levitre - This pick confused me because if were playing Wood at Guard and Butler has been decent, why would we give up picks to trade up and take the best natural Guard in the draft? Jauron said in his interview today that they may try him at Tackle. Shawn Nelson - TE that will play TE. Maybe we can try him out at WR? (lol) Nic Harris - A prolific college OLB that we drafted to play S. All of these position switches kind of concerns me.
  12. I don't give a sh-t if they drafted him to be our kicker, if we wanted Jairus Boyd on this team, we had to take him there. Bottom line, you can not like the pick and trash them taking a CB in Round 2 while Brown and Cook were on the board. But you can't say they could have had Boyd later in the draft because it's just not true.
  13. I can understand your displeasure with the pick. I won't lie, I was pissed to when the pick came in. I was hoping for Jared Cook, personally. But he would NOT have been available outside of Round 2, let alone later in the draft. That's just a false statement. He was widely considered the 5th best CB prospect in the draft behind Malcolm Jenkins, Vontae Davis, Darius Butler, and Alphonso Smith, who were all gone by our pick. There was a run on secondary in Round 2 and it has heavily carried on into the 3rd. You may not like the Boyd pick, but it wasn't a reach.
  14. If you think Everette Brown falls to 28, you're crazy If you think Clint Sintim falls to 42, you're crazy If you think Duke Robinson falls to 75, you're crazy /Foxworthyness
  15. Brian Orakpo Everette Brown Aaron Maybin Robert Ayers Tyson Jackson Larry English
  16. Dante Hall was traded, along with a 3rd Round Pick, to the Rams for their 3rd and a 5th. Essentially, Hall was traded for a 5th. Dante Hall was a much bigger game changer returning punts than Roscoe is. I would not be shocked or hurt if we only got a 5th for him considering.
  17. http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/Value-Chart.php If you package the #11 and #28, you get a total of 1,910. Which is just under the #3 overall pick and more than the 4th. If KC or Seattle wanted to pull the trigger, we could land either Jason Smith or Eugene Monroe (as St. Louis is expected to take one of them). For it or against it?
  18. Everyone seems to forget the fact that Peters wanted out. It wasn't just a matter of us trading away a "Pro Bowl" LT. The guy didn't want to be here! Given that fact, we should be glad we got something. Not only something, but a 1st Round pick in a draft a week away. Given that fact, i'd say we made out pretty good. Especially when you consider that our pick next year is unknown and reportedly conditional.
  19. Yes, trade Whitner. We need more holes to fill on this team
  20. On his official website (http://www.terrellowens.com), T.O. has a link to his official Twitter account. Who'd have thunk T.O. tweets? Anyways, it can be found at: http://twitter.com/terrellowens81 Interestingly enough, 10 hours ago he posted the following: "I'M N GOOD OL BUFFALO & LOVIN IT!! SNOW & ALL!!" I think that's pretty cool and thought i'd share
  21. I don't think it ends up working out that way. Sanchez's stock is SOARING right now. In 2006, Young, Leinart, and Cutler were all pretty evenly rated. This year, Stafford is clearly the cream of the crop followed closely by Sanchez. Freeman, who is also hot right now (for some reason), is clearly not in the same class as the other two. Plus, in 2006, Young wasn't taken until the 3rd pick, making it easier for the others to fall than this year (where Stafford will most likely be taken 1st overall). I think Sanchez is taken before we pick, easily. The only way it would work out for us is if the Lions passed on Stafford. Then, maybe.
  22. Aaron Curry Perhaps you should be a bit more specific though.
  23. I know that there's a good majority of people here who are sick of Cutler posts. But for those who are interested in the THOUGHT of getting him; how do you see Buffalo getting him and still filling all the other holes on our team? According to the NY Daily News, the Jets spent Wednesday formulating plans on how to acquire him. I'm interested in seeing what TSW would come up with. I'll start: - Trade Jason Peters to the Eagles for 2009 1st (Pick 21) It's getting downright ridiculous with Peters and i'd rather trade him away than pay what he wants. After everything we've done for the guy, I feel like he's done irrepairable damage when it comes to his character and this team. Even if we weren't to trade him, I still feel like LT is a hole on this team because he's going to sit out if we don't give him what he wants. - Trade Trent Edwards, 2009 1st (#21 from Eagles), and 2010 1st for Jay Cutler A little steep, I know. But that's what it's going to take. With Cutler, there's no need for Edwards. After the trade for Peters, we'd have an extra 1st this year. So in the end, the only thing that would really hurt is giving up next years 1st. - Take what's left of the 4 stud OT's (J. Smith/Monroe/Oehr/A. Smith) at #11 I feel all four have the potential to be stud OT's in this league for a very long time. Obviously Smith and Monroe will be gone by 11. But one of the four should still be there. Depending on how they look in camp will determie what side of the line they'll play on. - Take the best available DE in the 2nd Orakpo, Brown, Maybin, Ayers, and Jackson should all go in Round 1. Larry English, Michael Johnson, and Lawrence Sidbury Jr. would all be a solid pick and provide more pass rush alongside the returning Schobel. One of them should be there for us in Round 2. - Take the best available TE in the 3rd This is a VERY deep draft for TE's. That's why I pull my hair out when people mock us with Pettigrew at 11. Especially since the need for a stud TE has greatly diminished with the Owens signing. Pettigrew, Cook, and Nelson will all be gone by the end of Round 2. But Cornelius Ingram, Chase Coffman, Travis Beckum, and James Casey all have star potential. One of them will be there and would be an upgrade over anything we have now. - Sign either Cato June, Marcus Washington, or Freddy Kaiho to replace Crowell Not much needs to be said here. -Promote Kirk Chambers to Starting LG I have faith in Chambers there. He held down LT sufficiently enough last year to give me faith that he can handle the Guard position. Thoughts? Your Turn
  24. http://www.draftcountdown.com/scoutingrepo...rius-Butler.php He's Willis McGahee's cousin!
