  1. Your "dog walker" is in your domicile at 11 PM, and obviously has a key - and access into your house at any time? Nice to know you, it's just a matter of time... Ha Ha.
  2. Any paranoid left-wingers out there? Either way, give us your definitions of left and right. Assumedly, you are a left-winger, so include your solutions to the right-wing problem.
  3. A small victory, but a victory nonetheless. Myself, I would plan some other things...for the future.
  4. Good Lord...talk about the ultimate in self-serving thread drift.... Closed.
  5. CAR is stuck big time with Peppers. Huge cap hit if they move him on. That's what results from the negotiated union contract. I also happen to think that his play has declined, and that he's looking for some sap outfit to give him more millions of dollars...
  6. I sent Bill a PM of encouragement - but BGIM is correct - folks waiting for details about the mock weren't given so by Sunday, so I think many just gave it up.
  7. Nice selection. If history proves, #2 may also be an OT.
  8. If so - why not last season, with a so-called weaker strength-of-schedule than this coming season?
  9. 50, 60 miles NE of Rome... http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/apr/0...thquake-laquila

  11. Happy B'Day, gents!
  12. It's been a rough spell. This, those other officers, a man kills 8 in Alabama, 5 or so shot in Cleveland or Detroit - I forget which, the shootings in Binghamton. There's no shortage of unhinged folks. This Administration, and Congress, ought not to fan the flames of vengeance...AIG, GM as prime examples. I heard the local AM ratio talk show host in Cincy reading off emails to some site - people wishing to do terrible things to people who work for AIG. Very graphic. I'm not suggesting direct cause and effect, and have nothing but contempt for these murderers - but I do know that at best, civilization is a thin veneer, and that government officials singling out individuals or groups for their own political expediency is a way to punch holes in it. Curiously - or not - the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac $210 million in bonus money isn't making headlines like AIG. This article wasn't on the front page of the Cincinnati Enquirer like AIG - it was relegated to the Saturday business pages: http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2009040...040335/1076/BIZ
  13. Thank you one and all, for the kind wishes! "Nothing in his life became him like the leaving it." - Macbeth Act 1, scene 4, 1–8
  14. I'm guessing that Maualuga won't slip far at all. If his hammie isn't serious - and I've seen nothing to imply that it is - he's a 3-year starter that shoves blockers aside and nails his man.
  15. Sorry, Tipster. 'Twas Astrobot I should have replied to...both of you are big contributors on draft-related things, and in haste I got confused.
  16. What??? They haven't picked a LB with their top #1 pick since Conlan in 1987. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft...ype=roundbyteam
  17. Yep. I've been reading Tipster's thread about Cushing and Matthews. Buffalo? A 1st round LB? Wouldn't THAT be a shocker!
  18. That might be more due to his hamstring tweak early on at the Combine. AFAIK, Matthews is a 1-year starter. No?
  19. Could be - OTOH, they now have a lot of draft firepower and could move up.
  20. Toss in Rey Maualega. It's hard to figure out how much each of them added to the others' performance, and if you pick one, do you get a player who shone in a nice LB core but won't, after? Hard to work it out beforehand, IMO.
  21. Some of what you say is a management problem. There are numerous clubs, that have good OL coaches, that turn lower picks into reliable players, and also call up reserves that fill in well enough when injuries hit. And the Bills have been fortunate in terms of OL injuries the last 2 years. I'll ignore your second paragraph but to say yes, try to keep what you have. But at what price, with such an offense? Imagine their offense without fat field position thanks to the STs? The defense without same? It's not as if Peters is out there blocking for an offense flinging the ball long with some frequency. How would he look if he had to maintain protection for 2 seconds more, for 10 or so plays per game? I sure don't know. I've heard varying opinions about his run blocking. As someone mentioned - better the devil you know, than the devil you don't. But his holdout was anything but encouraging, as well as his evident desire to make the top, or near the top LT wage.
