  1. Levi Jones owns a Bentley Veyron. He had when he was b*itching about how he wasn't being appreciated by the B'gals, how he wasn't getting his "props".
  2. Is that your last word on that?
  3. Yep. The southern teams love to get opponents at home during that weather, and do their best to have them wear their darker unis. I don't think the cold is as much a factor, or advantage.
  4. The Cincinnati Enquirer published an interview with Oher a month or so ago. He's not very bright.
  5. #3 Pat Sims looked like he might be the real deal last year. And they re-signed Domato Peko for some serious bucks. Hard not to pull the trigger on Smith, but they have been burned several times with the overly-hefty crowd showing up with even more weight. I'm not an Oher fan. Word here is that DE Geathers' injury progress is dismal.
  6. CIN selects Rey Maualuga, ILB, USC.
  7. Nah. Offenses are hesitant to toss into a deep zone. The better option is to run the ball, sweep at the sidelines, toss a quick strike, and let a lightweight db make a tackle after being dragged for a few more yards. The clock ticks, the drive continues. I'm not very fond of having safeties that play deep taking a lot of chances.
  8. If the DC chooses to often have 2 dbs ten or so yards away from the LOS, and the other two tending the back forty, I can't criticize them for not being "playmakers".
  9. I'm an ellipsis man... And I dabble - in the dash.
  10. Good pick for SEA, russell. Hassellbeck's back injury haunts him...
  11. Great choice...absolutely the best pick for KC.
  12. Yeah, pretty much. Chris Henry got his house and vehicles repossessed for non-payment, so his lack of cash kept him quiet, and I assume his posse dumped him. They've been chatting with DT Tank Johnson, though. AFAIK, he kept his nose clean with DAL last year, after CHI dumped him because of his gun collecting habits.
  13. CIN checks in for the roll call!
  14. Channeling Mike Brown (bleah!), I can see CIN trying to trade down on draft day. It's always the money with him, and the thought of paying #6 moolah must be disturbing his sleep. They've been pretty successful with OLs, though. Even with the many injuries the past 2 seasons, OL/Asst. HC Paul Alexander keeps coaching the reserves up. IMO, he's the most valuable member of the entire organization. Alexander has a lot of pull, too. Despite the teams' warts, I give them credit for consistently drafting OLs . You never know with Brown, though...he like the flashy offensive players, and also has a history of drafting fine talents that everybody else won't touch because of their lousy characters. His "bargain hunting" has blown up in his face several times. And yes - STL would do well to go the OT route. I don't see how they could not.
  15. I suspect he will at least be a decent NFL pro. What intrigues me is his collegiate ability to get by the interference and hit the ball carrier. The pundits say he needs to use his arms more, and I understand that. That's where pro coaching should come in. But if he can do what is advertised, if he can reliably save a half a yards' progress on a rush, that can mean a punt instead of a new set of downs. I'm not much of a fan of the BPA idea - but he is one of two players after the top 5 that I'd think hard about. CB Jenkins of OSU is the other. If Jenkins fell to #11 and BUF picked him - the mood here would approximate the storming of the Bastille.
  16. I can't say I've heard any of the endless scouting reports on Maualega claim that he's shown other that pedestrian coverage skills. AFAIK, he's a very hard-hitting ILB who flings blockers aside but has to be taught arm tackling. He's been given some comparisons to Ray Lewis, but that's a heck of a standard. Poz - I don't know.
  17. 6' 2", 250 lb. for Maualuga. Taylor's a 6' 6" 245 lb. DE. Maualega is not of thin build.
  18. Dunno - didn't they have one of the softest schedules of opponents last season? And their AFC East competition certainly fixed their wagon.
  19. If Maualuga is available at #11 - take him.
  20. I read your post. I just offer advice for when opinion might change. It's good advice - I since edited it, so re-read it.
  21. Well - when you do, get a shotgun. Any kind will do. For a handgun, a .38 Special revolver with 110 grain Winchester Silvertip cartridges settles the issue. Or .44 Special - not the magnum cartridge. Too muck kick, and night flash/blindness. Forget Hollywood's semi-autos.
  22. Ask the Mattachine Society about that...
  23. A wicked wit could could go far with this...eh?
