Fair assessment. It happens every season - somebody rips a Bills' player, generally a recent acquisition. Before they even hit the field. Then, a couple of amanuensis snots peck out some posts in support of the slam. The poster takes pains to dogsh*t the player whenever his name comes up, then retreats like a crummy little spider rubbing its' foreparts when the season begins. If that player falters, they yank their posts out of the dungeon, petting themselves about how right they were, and crow about how wrong everybody else was. We are all supposed to be impressed with their insight, then. If the player they took pains to accost happens to have a degree of success, their traps never open.

An Amish fellow goes into a tavern for a glass of cola. He's wearing his colors. A drunk at the bars says, with slurred speech, "Hey! you're Amish, aint'cha. The man replies "Yes sir." The drunk then says "Hey! you got one 'a those buggies with that orange thing on the back?' The man says "Yes, I do." The drunk then says"Say somtin' Amish, will ya?'. The man says nothing, but the drunk keeps on whining his request to hear something Amish. After five minutes of the sot's slurring to hear something Amish, the man finishes his beverage. He gets up and starts to leave. As he gets to the door, he turns and says to the lush, "F*ck Thee.

Race car drivers...every square inch on their body is for sale. Somebody once commented that they probably have advertising tattooed on their di*ks. -
Administration open to taxing health benefits by Jackie Calmes and Robert Pear, New York Times March 15, 2009 "WASHINGTON - The Obama administration is signaling to Congress that the president could support taxing some employee health benefits, as several influential lawmakers and many economists favor, to help pay for overhauling the health care system. The proposal is politically problematic for President Obama, however, since it is similar to one he denounced in the presidential campaign as “the largest middle-class tax increase in history.” "... And is a sign of true leadership, or ducking for cover...your choce. ..."Now that Mr. Obama has begun the health debate, several advisers say that while he will not propose changing the tax-free status of employee health benefits, neither will he oppose it if Congress does so.". http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29703278// Sorry if this is a previously posted topic...

The school indoctrination over the past 30 years worked..."We are special!, We are special!...Look at Us! Look at Us!" Gawd, this self-centered, self-absorbed stuff makes me puke.

I know you realize that this will result in a letter in that fellow's personnel file. Unless he was a political appointee. If so, he/she will get a new position. If the former, it would take a year or so to discharge him/her (without prejudice, of course - there is no other way), assuming his/her department actually dared to go through the bother of such motions. GS positions are invulnerable. SES positions are appointed, and their appointers never allow their chosen ones to reflect badly upon then. All will be buried. It will be off the pages of the press in a few days. So it never happened. -

Not my drink of choice...unless you are channeling Steely Dan. I recommend against THAT.

Please read your post #7 of this thread... You posted it - why are you asking me where I got it from...or whatever it is you are saying now? Admit your fault and move on. That's what I try to do when I drink.

Add Wade Philips into their changeover to a 3-4.

"Ellis has averaged about 8 sacks a year over the past decade. That's hardly "underachieving."." Where have I recently read that?...

Yep - he could help. If at age 34, he's out of gas, training camp will show that. Somebody previously posted that his guaranteed money - 1.5 million - is on DAL's books. I think he's a DE, though.

Palmer has - as they say - all the physical passing tools. Remains to be seen how his bum elbow comes around. And yes - CIN has had horrific overall injuries the past few seasons - as well as top draft choices leaving football through injury or attitude certainly contributing, as well as ownership and coaching staff. Marvin is in DJ's class regarding game decisions. There is a lot to like about Palmer - but I've never seen him really display a force of personality that made one feel that he could forge an improbable victory. Off-topic: The early things about CIN's DC Zimmer D looks good. They were #12 overall last year against a tough schedule. And they stocked up in the draft with LB R. Mulagela (sp?) and DE M. Jackson, re-signed LBs D. Jones and R. Jeanty, and await the return of K. Rivers. 2008's #3 DT Sims looked like the real deal, alongside DT Peko. CIN has a good shot at an 8-8 record. Perhaps more. On paper, they certainly have a schedule much softer than last season.

When You Can Snatch The Pebble From My Hand

I made a mistake giving you material, dev... -
Palmer doesn't do a good job of closing out games, and his intentions are easy to read. He is very dependent on timing with his receivers. And since his '05 cheap-shot knee injury, tends to throw a high ball. His audibles are predictable - 9 times out of 10, it's a run play...usually to the left. Their idiot OC Bratkowski is very predictable - my wife thinks I'm some sort of football savant, as I watch their linemen set and tell her what play they are going to run. And I'm not alone with that observation. Palmer is a good QB - but not one of the best IMO.

I'm surprised you waited so long to chime in, along with your anti-Fiztpatrick pogrom partner, FHBillsfan #1. Last I heard from you, you were telling us that you had a friend that followed the B'gals, and you and he would have 2 televisions running with separate feeds - the Bills and the Bengals. About how therefore you saw most B'gals games...evidently concentrating on both simultaneously, enabling your grand pronouncements. I've written occasionally about my impressions regarding Fitzpatrick. Pros and cons. I've posted authoritaive site citations depicting CIN's league-leading injuries. You might look them up. CIN, with Palmer's contract owning their QB budget, was in no position to pay Fitz what his market would bear. They would have gladly liked to have retained him. Fiztpatrick was snapped up when he hit the open market.

CIN drafted one - Chase Coffman, bum foot and all. With all the hate bombs tossed Royal's way the past seasons, they might miss his blocking, especially with this proposed rookie-laden musical chairs OL. And I'm sure their opposition would love to see BUF try to be heavy on a no-huddle offense. I think that talk is just a marketing move to induce people to pony up for advance tix. We shall see.

College spread offense TE. Some defender might have got too close to him before the snap, so he needed to have time off to go and see one of those grief counselor mountebanks that prey on school kids.

Well, he doesn't believe in God. That's a big plus for some here. He's not about to let any moral principles pester him. -
