Yes. We has 3 dogs when I was growing up. I don't remember the first one because I was a tot. The 2nd, I remember. It was taken on a leash to the back or front yard when it made noises that there was business to be done. It was a large, light tan mutwe named Cindy It was walked, under the prevailing ruled. The rules being that when it was making the moves, you jerked the leash and put it out into the street. The dog didn't care - when it was done, it again displayed that mouth-open "duh" look characteristic of most all dogs. The tail wagged like before. The 3rd was a border collie variant of unknown parentage named Dutchess. The classic black/white coat. And the grerat personality charactistic of them. Wonderful dog for a household of kids. And the same treatment when she toured the town at the end of the leash. Nowadays, I see these "reel" leashes, that let their precious little ego extensions roam 10 feet in any direction.

Bad luck for Perry - he looked to be a real decent wr, but it was something like the last game of the '07 season where he fielded a meaningless KO on the 5 or so for CIN and got his hip smashed. 2006 6th round pick - UCLA. I didn't know he was still out there. FWIW, I think CIN WR Antonio Chatman won't make the final cuts. He's been nicked up the past few seasons, but is a decent backup wr and a fair PR. Not that the CIN STs are anything but weak. Anyway, BUF may want to give him a look if he gets the axe and they are in need. My guess is that he will make somebody's roster - he's a gamer with a good grasp of the game. His numbers: http://www.nfl.com/players/antoniochatman/...le?id=CHA724223 BTW - CIN is crowded at LB. Keep an eye out for 2 names - Darryl Blackstock and Brandon Johnson.

Hey! That man can't help that!

Want the pandemic (don't call me swine) flu vaccine?

Yes - but it seems that a portion that get this bug are really hit hard. It seems those two youngsters in Indiana met their demise with a renal system attack, followed on with cardiac problems. I don't know what the progression was of other deaths. As the story unfolded here over the several days - being local, it was of course well covered in the media - I can't say I recall any especial mention of unusual lung involvement beyond the norm for influenza. I'm no epidemiologist or pathologist - no researcher of influenza outbreaks. This thing is nagging my mind, somehow. Some sort of feeling, a vague "out of the ordinary", if you will. Maybe I'm just being unduly paranoid - dunno. -
Might be moving to Florida...suggestions please

St. Augustine. Very picturesque. Has some gated communities with armed guards, I hear. -

Indeed. I've not an ounce of fact to back it up, but I've heard here and there that the rental vacation condo biz is hurting. Perhaps you could find some cheap housing from somebody - under the idea that to the renter, 10 cents on the dollar is better than nothing. I don't know if you have a moving stipend - if the company would store your goods while you investigate an area to settle - that might be a way to go. Just thinking out loud... You might want to send a PM to erynthered. -
I personally know two individuals - young at the time - who were "sponsored" (i. e. money forked over) by their parents to run for Mayor...for the express purpose of adding the glitter to Sonny's resume that he ran for office. A kid concerned with civic good, the welfare of others etc. Yeah, right...

I wonder...did they offer to pony up for the cost of his surgery? I've no idea what it would cost...10K? Maybe more? The kid and his family might not have had the ready cash...dunno.

I just thought I'd let everyone know what they don't

AFAIK, it's usual for the defense to beat the OL early on in camp. The OL being occupied with trying to tune up and work in concert - a D is much more a free-wheeling thing. And the QB and receivers have their work in getting timing to jive. I don't know enough about TE to comment, but I will say that Carson Palmer is very much a "timing" QB. He often tosses it to a "spot", and if wrs aren't in camp to work with, his game falters. Ocho Dinko - in his 2008 edition of Chad-Snit - really threw the wrench at Palmer, what with his blowing of routes and short-arming. I wouldn't read too much into what is happening - it's early days. -
The bullpen has a lot of balls flying around.

It's my understanding that current players aren't happy either. Less $ for them. B'gals beat writer Geoff Hobson, writing on the B'gal official site 7/30/09: ...Some signs could point to an Andre Smith signing, such as the player drafted right behind Smith at No. 7, Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, agreeing to a deal Thursday. And the fact that Smith's agent, Alvin Keels, broke the deal on his Twitter account (according to ProFootballTalk.com). ...The numbers are also very rich at a five-year base of $38.250 million, $23.5 million of it guaranteed and $54 million max, also according to PFT. With Smith now sandwiched around deals that ballooned over last year by more than 50 percent (Mark Sanchez at No. 5) and Heyward-Bay's 20 percent, there are at least some numbers out there. Nope. But think of the wonderful life we would all have if a bunch of self-styled twerps all across the nation in the mid-60's didn't kum-by-ya amongst themselves and hatch laws decided that fences around a private property owner's lawn was unsightly. Think of it - no burned-out brown urine spots or dog crap defiling the property you work hard to maintain to be an asset to your community, no trash rolling around in the wind. Why are dog owners so disrespectful of other people's property, I ask you?

So. You are determined to pick a fight with me about a reverie. Very classy...

I stumped ya, eh?

Why do you ask? Do you find me immature?

Waterloo Station is the main link to the Chunnel. Which the French have crabbed about for quite a while. http://www.touruk.co.uk/london_stations/wa...oo_station1.htm Some wag once said that France should name their Chunnel terminus "Vichy Station"...but they were not amused. That reference mentioned Waterloo Bridge. Which reminds me of one of my favorite movies...Waterloo Bridge. It is one of the great romance movies...1940 B&W with Robt. Taylor and Vivian Leigh. The "Candlelight Waltz" (a.k.a. Farewell Waltz) scene is one of moviedom's most memorable. If you happen to see it in your tv listings, record it. You will be pleased. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033238/ The Farewell Waltz...

Quite a remarkable piece, eh? Some say it's where the phrase, "Look Out for Number One" came from...the admonishment to watch out for that #1 Model T engine bearing. Hunt down a copy of this: http://www.textbooksrus.com/search/bookdet...paign=WI08gbmkt

If the stars were aligned, this was a Chunnel train pulling out from...Waterloo Station.

I hope not. We all remember how that impacted Sammie Morris' career, and it zapped CIN '04 #1 pick, rb Chris Perry for 2 years, then he came back and got his ankle shattered. He's out of the NFL now, a sad fate for a player that was so durable in his college days at Michigan.

I have a diploma, but I wove it into a hand-made welcome mat so I now have a diplomat. That welcomes you. Not that I answer my door or that anyone is welcome.
