  1. I'll add BAL vs. KC. 501 total yds. vs. 188, 32 first downs vs. 11, 39.49 TOP vs. 20.11. Ouch! Special mention for CIN OC Bratkowski going into his typical 2nd half panic mode: 20 rush plays in the 1st half, 7 rush plays in the 2nd...and then of course, DEN went to man coverage against his predictable pass calls.
  2. DEN's up to their usual classy play. 2 CIN OLs injured and out so far... CIN's idiot OC Bob Bratkowski is in his panic mode already...calling deep drops by Palmer.
  3. DEN's up to their usual classy play. 2 CIN OLs injured and out so far...
  4. Here's Walter William's column of a few months ago - Sweden's Government Health Care: http://economics.gmu.edu/wew/articles/09/S...tHealthCare.htm No thanks...
  5. Has Evans, by whatever gravel he may have in his guts, scoured the sidelines with a scowl on his face, rallied the troops, and forged a victory by force of his character? Does he sense a qb in trouble, then race and fight his way back towards the LOS? Has he ever flashed up an elbow in frustration or anger and whacked a defender in the chops and drawn a personal foul? Belted a LB in the back and flattened him so he couldn't lay a heavy shot on his QB?
  6. Nah - it would take a while.
  7. There you go. Jaws has been reading my August posts.
  8. Pick! I've always been meaning to chronicle his story for folks here. He was legitimately certifiable...
  9. I hope you have a good trip. And I hope they go to TO early and often and not duck into a conservative shell. They should pull out the stops - if they do lose, which is what everybody expects, well, they should do it with some pizzazz and give a good go of it. I still maintain that the right side of the NE* OL is ripe for abuse. Go after Tommie*.
  10. Er - I never voiced an opinion about his knowledge. I looked back through the pages of this thread. Somehow, I get the feeling that you think I give a rat's patoot about the B'gals. No nerve to be struck. I moved into a county, where non-property owners voted a free pleasure palace for them to be paid by property owners. I pay an added half penny tax for each purchase I make in that county. When my wife retires in a couple of years, I guarantee we will never relocate into any county that has a major league team in any sport. Collinsworth IMO is a good commentator - personally, I don't care for him, because he's constantly on the radio hawking this or that, and has a sweetheart MRI imaging business tied in with his Mike Brown connection. He was a very good pro, who played on decent teams managed by the late Paul Brown.
  11. He has a couple of good games, then another couple where he disappears. Wash, rinse, repeat. Year in, year out.
  12. Here you go. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cris_Collinsworth His ring is in the same place as Andre Reed's is, if you want a sorry answer to your chintzy shot at Collinsworth.
  13. Check your memory...
  14. Stay tuned...a memorial is not out of the question.
  15. I'm still waiting for the list of campaign contributors on board during that joy ride...
  16. Put pressure on the right side of their OL - RG Neal and RT Kaczur.
  17. I'd be happy to be invited to plenz' house and as a guest, drink whatever beer he offered me.
  18. Wow!...13 posts here and on the PPP board today, since your last recorded utterance on Jan 20, 2009.
  19. He has insight, for sure. But he impresses me as more or less as an infant suffering from chronic diaper rash, lashing out in acid tones against anyone that questions his pronouncements. I'd cringe at working with him - I guess I'd hire him to mow my lawn, but that's as close as I'd care to be around him. I think he and Bob Trumpy are soul mates...
  20. Great advice, Fez...
  21. I didn't see the game - but 'cause where I live, I see plenty of AFC North ball and have seen plenty of Polamalu. Every PIT opponent in that division plans hard to try to neutralize him, and usually tries to whack the daylights out of him. I think he is terrific, one of a handful of honest-to-goodness "game changers" in the NFL.
  22. I give'em of credit for spending higher picks on their D. CBs Hall and Joseph were 1st rounders, as well as LB Rivers. Their #2 Maualuga this draft also starts. #3's, DT Sims and DE Rucker, and this year's #3 DE Michael Johnson will get a goodly amount of playing time. Their '06 #4, DT Peko starts and was re-signed to a long contract last year. At least through the pre season tilts, vet DT Tank Johnson and SS Roy Williams looked decent. The jury's still out about Williams and his pass coverage, but he he still hits like a ton of bricks. They have little CB depth, though. And a jumbled OL, and with 2nd year Kyle Cook manning the center spot. Were I planning against them, I would definitely push the middle of their line, but I suspect they will run more wide runs than in years past to try to compensate. Their late rounder, RB Scott, shows fine acceleration, speed, and sideline awareness. They currently have a roster exemption for that whale they drafted, Andre Smith. The Bills' staff should keep a sharp eye peeled if they cut RB Dorsey when that exemption expires. He's a good ST'er, also.
  23. Good point. I'd add that IMO, Rich Gannon has become better - he was terrible his 1st year. He's begun adding insightful commentary about plays, formations, etc.
